Hello have a problem with my Smart 451 year 12/2007 1.0 71PS 113 TKM the first few m drives and switches the car perfectly, then it goes on fault and it switches e.g. no more into the 3rd gear and the 1st gear. Or with a new ride no longer into the 5th gear neither manually nor in automatic mode. I also noticed that the error ( i.e. the fault ) always occurs when switching down. Up to now it has been renewed: The clutch actuator incl. adjustment, I checked the supply lines from the gearbox on (screwing positions etc.) the GSG looked at me, as far as everything normal and nothing eye-catching. Error codes were read out : P1903 Switching process implausible P1800 Adaption Faulty P0914 Switching control P1901 Switching process P1801 Gear control P0914 Gear selector sensor These were all errors that were saved and also after the error imer appear immediately. Now my question: clutch? Switching motor? Gears? Am I already making a beautiful Sunday tomorrow and expanding the gear, however, I probably have to remember the fact that Sammy will not be able to see your fault.

Interior lighting does not stop
Hello, the interior lighting of my Smart 451 ED3 doesn’t go off by itself. It can be switched on and off by a switch, and the switch is in the right position for the automatic shut-off. Nevertheless, the light still glows brightly, no matter what I do or how long I wait. A manual inspection of the lid lamp did not reveal any obvious errors. I suspect the SAM does not implement the automatic shut-off for whatever reason. Can it be due, for example, to a faulty door contact? The central locking works without any problems. Thanks for every tip that helps me to circle and fix the error source more accurately.

Have a Smart again as a project. A 2000 he 45ps Unfortunately I am not the first hobbyist on the Smart. In the engine compartment I discovered an empty plug connection close to lid fitting. Smart 451 IsoFix self retrofit [cost 90 EUR]
Dear Smart Friends, since the IsoFix system is not only more comfortable but also safer for the child, I decided to have the “system” (IsoFix “Stange”) installed afterwards. The shock was great when I was asked to charge almost 670 EUR for it (and that without airbag shutdown)! The friendly explained to me that you have to change the seat cover completely. Why, he could not tell me. According to the installation photo, it was only 4 screws (!) needed to install the bar. A call to Fismatec solved the puzzle: Smart builds a “recognition system” into the seat cushion, which switches off the passenger airbag as soon as an IsoFix child seat is connected. Because my Smart has an airbag shutdown and I feel so a “recognition system” for absolutely unnecessary, I ordered the bar (incl. screws and covers) for 90 EUR and get it in a very short time. Smart 451 Radio security code lost
Hi guys, I have a little problem and I bought Smart and at some point we had to take off the battery, whereby now you need a security code on the radio because I didn’t have, because no manuals were given. Bastuck ESD + Installation + TÜV = 480 Euro?
Moin.. horny.. my first post here so a subtly hello in the round! Since my old exhaust so slowly gives up its mind, I thought of a Bastuck ESD with two DTM pipes for my Vento. Was with our local tuner and asked once all about what the whole fun would cost me: Result –> ~480 Euro .. there is the ESD, installation (cuffs, adapters) and TÜV in it. Three times diligently swallowed and a discreet “Aha.. I…overthink… it .. me” stuttered out. Hello, I would like to upgrade to my Passat 18″ aluminium rim with 225 tyres (v+h). Are the 18″ wheels heavier than the standard Passat wheels (15″ steel, 205 or 195 tyres) ? If so, how strongly does this affect the acceleration and the maximum speed (e.g. with 102 hp or 115 hp gasoline) ?

Hello, there is someone here who can explain something to me from this cult book of car fans? As most probably know, it is about braking at 100%-falls in one point (e.g. in the terrain or when driving errors/accidents left off the road): 1) “Without ABS-cars can not be braked there – but at least not faster. 2) ABS cars, on the other hand, race down the slope faster and faster, even though the driver is fully on the brake (…if no ascent-dependent ABS shut-off is installed). You find the explanation for this certainly easy…but I am unfortunately “technical dippe” (.. always interested and reading a lot since the latest). Can someone explain this behavior to me again with their own words? Thank you and many greetings.

Remove child protection/clamp protection?
How do you get rid of this stupid child safety/clamp protection? It’s the case that I can control my window from the driver’s side with the “one-touch-down/up”. I can also use the same function for the passenger. The passengers in the back have no chance as the passenger. Does anyone know how to get this lock out? Thx..
