Hello. Come from the E36 forum and have a clue about SMART zero. That’s why I would have asked a few Newbie questions about the topic: “Procurement of a used Smart”. So, I’ve already read a little bit here in the SMART forum. I came across that the small engines probably didn’t convince by long mileage. Furthermore, you could read that there was probably a “Facelift” model from any year of construction. So what should you pay attention to when buying a “ForTwo”? Diesel or gasoline? Automatic od How high should the max KM number be? When was the “Facelift” built and is it adviceable to buy it? Would be nice if I could get some helpful tips.

smart engine now also goes off while driving
Hello, first the engine went off only in the stand, but now also during the ride. The ignition remained on. Shown in the display the 0. After repeated futile attempt to start the engine, the smart is now in the workshop. Reading out the error did not bring any definite result. A new petrol pump also did not make it healthy again. Now it will probably be treated in the smart center, but I would like to make a little smart before, what could come up to me there. The j Last workshop taps on the regulator for the fuel injection (or similar). I would be grateful for advice and an explanation. Dear Greetings Christin smart, 10 years old, 90,000 running

Petition against unrealistic standard consumption data
I am the owner of a Smart fortwo mhd. I currently have a consumption average of 7.96 liters (CO2 output of 187 g/km), instead of 4.4 liters (103g/km). Because of the unrealistic standard according to laboratory values (NEFZ 93/116/EEC), I have submitted a petition to the German Bundestag. Text: The German Bundestag may decide … the standard for consumption data of car manufacturers should be based on reality and not on laboratory values (NEFZ 93/116/EEC), which do not comply with practice. I have summarized my experiences on a website, such as: advantages, disadvantages, wishes for improvement, pictures … In addition to the petition, there is also an opinion from Smart and various test reports.http://smart42.npage.de The petition number is 11773https://epetitions.bundestag.de/ It would be nice if the petition was supported by many people. Thank you.

Fuel consumption of the new F2
Hello and good day I drive an F2, JG. 2001 with the 60hp machine / 75tkm and am very satisfied with it. -Actually it feels like new… The fuel consumption is with only city traffic (long traffic jam waiting times) with (for my sensation) very good five liters. Now I have read in the penultimate car picture the comparison between the new smart with start/stop automatic (generator starter) and a “normal” F2 with 71 petrol hp. AutoBild a fabulous consumption for the 71hp petroler of 9.6 (!!) liters. That can’t be true, can it? Has any of you already had experience with the new smart and the same motorization or can anyone explain this consumption? I think I would not achieve this consumption with my old F2. Thanks and greetings. Wolfgang

Vehicle no longer starts.
Hello, I have the following problem. When I wanted to drive with my smart today and the ignition operated the starter did not work any more. I came from working with the car before that was about 1 hour ago. If I had to change the key and actually start the starter the display goes out at the speedo and the clock at the rev meter is new. I tried it several times and at different intervals. At the battery I can not drive it regularly ßig and not only short distance. This is the first time I have such problems with the car. Tomorrow, because of warranty case, call Smart that solves the problem and that I am mobile again. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any of the similar problems in the forum yet.

Back to the 451er ??
Hello, I have been playing for a few days with the idea of selling my 453 90 Ps Prime with almost full equipment, which I have only had for a month, and switching to the 451. Had before that a 451 diesel, which has accompanied me over 80,000 kilometers and I still own it. The new one is taken by itself Top, has leather, Navi, return camera and the strong 90 Ps engine, which also goes really well forward and is relatively economical with about 6 liters. In my view, there are no more adjustment options for the seat and steering wheel. And in any case, there is a lack of this smart-typical, this clean-up-and-grin feeling that is hard to describe in any case, I would also get a Brabus Exclusive or a 84 Ps Turbo as a special model for the money. I wanted to hear your opinion, should I really again back to the 451 or do you think this is nonsense ? Don’t get me wrong, the new smart is great but you can see that it is a Renault. The interior is really great, but more fun is somehow the old one and really softer is the 453 also not (have also sport package and 16 inches but nevertheless) So before this thread now drifts into the shoreless, I’m just curious about your opinions )

Buy smart or lease?
Hello, I would like to buy or lease a smart car as a second car. It is only moved on spa routes with a maximum of 3,000km per year. It should be the ForTwo with 71hp. Budget is about 9,000 euros. Does it make more sense to buy a smart than used car or is it now comparatively cheaper to lease a smart car? The FA rental is left out (I am FA). Optional equipment would be: Brabus sports package Cool & Audio package Line Passion or Prime as possible Bodypanels in we iß oder schwarz LED- & Sensor-Paket Ablage-Paket if applicable twinamic What should I pay attention to? Are there currently cheap dealer deals or dealer-wide smart deals?
