hello, have a question: my car was at the end of september for general overhaul in the workshop. here was also the complete cooling system replenished. today I discovered that the entire cooling water was frozen, i.e. the workshop did not use frost protection. trusting that the workshop had thought about it, I did not refill anything, especially since the water level was at its maximum. someone here has an idea whether such a thing is normal (from the workshop) and how high the financial burden is. and one more question: before I noticed the whole painter I was still driving with the car and had considerable problems to get a walk in. first I pushed it to the general cold, but when finally no improvement occurred and finally no walk was taken, I discovered the frozen water at a glance under the hood. can the switching problems be related to it? would I be able to do so? about feedback very happy. best greetings micha

Standlight in the turn signals– how’s that?
Moin! Would you like to ask how to get permanent light in the front blinker. Just like many US vehicles (Corvette etc.). You just have to plug something around, so that the turn signals constantly, with the ignition switched on, get power!? -Or? Have already studied circuit diagrams, but I really don’t see through that.

pictures of grey for every VR6 fan!!!! or: result of a control chain repair!
hello people! after I announced, as last week, that weekend at the exchange of the control chains with all that was done, I saw horrible !spanner, rails, wheels etc… were in a condition that was anything but solemn! and that, although the tacho shows only 78tkm!beim kauf anzeigen der tache 63tkm an!and there has already rattled like sow! the seller guaranteed me this running performance! also in the purchase contract! I had in the repair support of a mechanic-master from a vw-autohaus!he has already seen and repaired many vr6!his words: “Damned sh….!boy, you just got past a motor damage! So one thing is certain: the engine has about twice as many kilometers on the bump as on the tapo stands!”I am now thinking about whether I’m getting right steps, because that’s including forgery of the originals!I want at least 50% of the purchase price back!but how it looks with the proof, isn’t so great!ichh from yes only the statement of the master and the worn-out parts! and I can have them from anywhere else! The car is not in question again, because runs like hell! and jetz with the new chains tune the tax times again to 100% and he runs a lot better! also the master said:” so I have already driven many vr6!but yours goes with distance best!” ok, it is clear…the engine is never even more! so, and now to the pictures

V6 Tdi
Hello I would like to buy a Passat Variant V6 TDI soon. And now my question: Is this motor highway fixed, so I mean it runs without problems 200 KM/H and does the engine withstand this too??? The car is not tormented by me or something, but on the highway if it is warm, it would have to run already. Also I am one of the after longer highway rides not immediately shut down the engine but let it run a little bit. One hears so much about head gasket, VTG Turbo And so on. If you should go to the TDI at all or better to the CDI, you can hear less of it. so I think. But I would rather stay with VAG. Has any of you had experiences, also in terms of consumption when driving on the highway and you should rather take the 3BG or 3B Passat. Does someone know where the V6 turns at 200 KM/H. What should I pay attention to when buying V6 TDI? I am grateful for every advice. With best thanks in advance.

Now also gasoline hit by the exhaust scandal at VW
Now it gets exciting again, Dobrindt confirmed today in the Bundestag that at least 98,000 petrol engines are affected by the VW exhaust scandal. Besides Polo, Golf and Passat, Audi A1 and A3, as well as Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon and Ibiza, this also affects VW vehicles with active cylinder management, i.e. TSI with ACT.Are there any details about the affected TSI engines from 2013, 2014 and 2015? I suppose this is the EA211 engine? barks: 98,000 VW petrol trucks with incorrect CO2 data – ZEITDobrindt: 98,000 petrol trucks with irregular CO2 values – mirrors

Ugly sounds when/after starting.
Dear Smart community, my 451 convertible (84 hp, year 2009) has been having problems since the day before yesterday. When I start it, it starts without problems, but then when I release the key, it makes quite ugly noises and then goes out loud and loud again. If you repeat this more often, the starting sometimes works. With warm engine the problem does not occur. But the next morning when the engine is cold, it is the same game. Can that be that the starter doesn’t really “run out” or like s Do you want me to describe that? Has anyone had this before and if so, what was that? THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Collectable thread: VW exhaust scandal – Experiences -NACH- the software update
Dear Schummeldieselfahrer, According to press releases, the first callback letters should have already gone out. Therefore, would you like to open a thread here once, in which all their experiences with a software update already carried out can describe: Are there performance losses? Changes in driving dynamics? Changed consumption? Other problems after update? Please for active participation! Thank you and good ride!

H&R sports springs…….Experiences ?
Hello everyone ! I intend to install a set of sports springs from H&R on my modest vehicle (Seat Léon Cupra 4 V6), at the same time with a wheel set 18 inches with the 1000miglia rims model “EVO 5”. Now I read in my forum that such springs are frowned on, at least in part. Some talk about a worse driving behaviour at higher speeds. I asked extra about 2 colleagues who have both springs in it, a Subaru Impreza GT and also a Leon Cupra. Both are completely z It is absolutely clear to me that a complete chassis is always better, but why should I throw out a good series suspension like that of the Cupra (S3 is certainly just as good) and give away too much money, I just want the box a little deeper, but not so that it is lying on the wheels, only about 30 mm less, to minimize the distance tire/wheelhouse. I can’t believe that this should be a “bad” solution, what does it mean? R ?

Sunroof installation ever done who?
Hi guys, wanted to put a sun roof in my passat. Was once from Interrese with the specs of ATU for a price information. The roof costs 102 euros, I find quite realistic. When asked what the installation costs, he says to me 175 euros. Must me laugh hard. Has someone ever built such a part into me? What to consider? Which manufacturer is recommended. This at ATU is from Webasto. Thanks already, Frank
