  • They’re crazy about the TÜV inspectors

Hello for the first time, was just for the third time because of my rims at the TÜV and wanted to have them with tyres of dimensions 205 R something 55. In the ABE there is only one release for tyres of size 205 R something 50. The examiner says: impossible. If I look at what others drive around with (tires under the wheel box etc.), it can’t be that I get no acceptance because of 5mm too high tires! These sticky laws make me crazy. they still get registered, don’t they?

  • Autoclause

My Passat TDI 7/2001 has now been stolen in Spain. Just as it was parked, it could not be towed or loaded. So it must have been driven away without keys. Now I don’t want to see instructions for rogue readers here – but what can I do if my new car is there and the immobilizer of professionals can be turned off so easily ???? Who has safe tip ????

  • search videos…

moin moin, since I have learned the days that I will no longer get to see my lobe in this life and I unfortunately never came to the idea to make videos of my can, I am looking for videos of beetles, golf or polo with weaver gassing…. every night before going to sleep I have the roar in the ear and at least want to be able to watch it again on video….*snoff* if someone has few videos with good sound I would be very grateful…. thank you

  • Volkswagen Gol (NOT Golf!)

I happen to have found something interesting at CarDomain.com: a VW GOL! Yes right, not golf but only Gol! To find here! Seems to me to be a mixture of golf and polo. In the USA there is not, in Europe either, apparently only in South America. I checked once on the homepage of Volswagen Equador, and look, here it is. In Argentina there is also, and Peru and Chile. So everywhere down there. There is even a Volkswagen Gol Club in Argentina. What holds i You from the car? By the way, the gol has been around since the 70s, came out at the same time as the first polos and so on. By the way, the gol is not the South American version of the polo, because they have the polo there too!

  • TDI: “Technology from yesterday”

As the Verkehrsclub Deutschland (VCD) has just published, German cars end up far behind the competition from Japan and France.http://www.spiegel.de/auto/aktuell/0,1518,370152,00.html: “With their passion for perfection, German car engineers tend to produce flops. Instead of using filters, they wanted to trim engines in such a way that they produce little exhaust gas.”

  • Brake pads changed, but what did I do wrong???

Hi, the search function did not reveal anything that was already before … I changed my pads on Saturday with the help of the book “So wird’s es” . But I believe I did something wrong … Only don’t know what …. To the value path: wheel down, with 6 hexagons the 2 screws loosed and the brake caliper removed … disc measured (was still ok and also without bars) and then it started with raining *kotz* I therefore only checked the smoothness of the sleeve in the brake caliper, this however nic it was cleaned with a bottle brush as in the book. It seemed to me that it was not necessary, it was very easy … everything was cleaned and put together according to the instructions. In itself everything was without problems. To this day I drove about 50 km, but had this feeling that it did not brake as well as before the “repair”. So I operated the brake pedal very easily with the left foot and gave it gas at the same time. Result it was to feel that the coverings were not smooth h “have let go of the disc”, so they still cut on it. After ner 1 sec there was nothing more to feel when accelerating … So I looked if the disc started biting, because this “permanent” grinding on the disc is certainly not in the sense of the inventor and see since the disc got easy e occasion colors … What I don’t understand is this cleaning of the “bust” really so evocative, also did I feel it would be smooth??? It certainly isn’t true, because he could be pushed in without any problems … Since I certainly need a brake system for my conscience, I would now repeat the whole mess again, just this time with new windows. Was with Pitstop and they wanted to make for 210 Euro (ats disk + coverings) , a lot of wood … Therefore the question are the “Set ́s” offered at E-bay for 60 Euro or are these under no circumstances to be recommended??? But if they are for my Polo (60 HP SDi Bj 98) v on the reliability are ok, what did I make flat the first time??? Thanks for the answers. Greetings Naik Polo 1.7 SDI Bj 98

  • Why doesn’t VW build a GTI anymore?

Hallihallo! VW – as we all know – founded the class of sports compacts in 1976 with the Golf I GTI, at that time still with 1.6 liters capacity and 110 cheerful horses, which are still fun today. Occasionally I can pilot such a one, an acquaintance has a 1977. The performance spiral turned further with 1.8 liters and 112 hp, later in the Golf II there was then a 16V with 139 hp and with the Golf III the end was reached with 150 hp. Since the Golf IV there is only another GTTI, which is more conceptually a successor of the Daihatsu Charade GTti than one of the Golf III GTI. Only with the Lupo there was a GTI. Why do you think VW has said goodbye to the GTI concept and has taken over the (not only) unloved Daihatsu concept with me? Oh yes: If someone thinks that I would want to fight against VW: It’s not just with VW, Opel, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Mazda, for example, go the same way – but they didn’t invented the GTI, therefore, I’m here. • User manuals now available from VW online

Hello with each other. I just found the following on the website of VW (vw.de): Under the menu item in the header: Service&Accessories > User manual On the page a field appears: “Your digital user manual”. In the field “FIN” enter the complete chassis number of your own car and there appears a selection of user manuals, which especially fit on the car. With me these were e.g.: – User manual (general, without the part “Council and action” – Radio RCD 310 – Service plan As I said: It seems not all the instructions belonging to the car are displayed. But: Always there! It seems that VW has also accepted the instructions of the MT Forumsuser on the topic “Digital operating instructions” MfG Andy.

  • Golo comes for 6500 euros…

According to Auto Bild Golo comes from China… Why does VW have new VW Golo built in China? German companies go abroad…and sell to Germany with fat money…. With Gol VWs doesn’t earn enough in Germany. Not even new factory on German soil for 1Euro job for Hartz4 recipients come in? One has to think first in home choice, here is Industireland, which many people live, give work etc.!

  • Who has 200,000 km and more on the speedometer?

Hello to all drivers, I would be interested in who has the highest KM stand on the speedo in the forum. I drive a Golf IV TDI / 90 hp and with that I have reached just 214,000 km today. I still have the first clutch and the first engine inside *joy* and I think I can also take a few more thousand kilometers with me. From my buddy the familiar has also nn Golf IV (110 hp / TDI) and he has already 330.000 km away (still the first engine). has more kilometers to offer? Write something to it! Thanks your gtivr6
