Hello together, have now my holiday trip with my 42 (450 he, cdi, 2003 BJ, 52.000 km) behind me. Were a total of 1200 km within 4 days. Again I have to find that long distance with the smart is no problem. I once travelled nonstop 420 km. I have found that the seats for a small car are really above average. I find negative the starting weakness of the diesel. Before one from the stand exceeds the 50 km/h mark it takes forever, sometimes dav Apart from the fact that I don’t want to bring it more than 2500 revolutions when starting up. As an absolutely extraordinary I have to name the consumption of the small. I didn’t exactly record it, but it would have to be 3.3 liters of diesel at 100 km. But I also drove through the Colbitzer and Magdeburg Heath at 120 km/h. The floor mat in the driver’s footroom proved to be disturbing again and again. It always slipped towards the pedalerie. The flap on the left side, on the me If my left foot rests, it never remains in its intended position. And of course it must also be mentioned that the acceptance of the other road users, as often mentioned in the forum, is not the biggest. Some people absolutely have to overtake, just because it is a “smart” driving in front of them. This is annoying to some extent, because you also notice that it is only inconsideration of the people. How does it look at you? Did you have the same experiences? What can I do against the foot mat? Greetings from Thuringia – Hanne –

Smart 453 and the competition. New registration ́s figures Dtl.
Hello to the forum, there are also some friends of the statistics here. I looked at the current sales figures in Dtl and am very positive about the good numbers of the ForTwo surprised. Especially compared to the competition the little one, as well as the ForFour are fantastic. Here are the current numbers of October 2016 *Minis* 1. Smart ForTwo -> 3.048 2. VW UP! -> 2.831 3. Fiat 500 -> 2.330 4. Hyndai i10 -> 2.091 5. Opel Adam -> 2.018 . . . Renault Twingo -> 1.820 Source KBA * Small car* 1. VW Polo -> 5.656 2. Ford Fiesta -> 4.690 3. Opel Corsa -> 4.554 4. Skoda Fabia -> 3.770 5. Mini -> 3.211 . . . Smart ForFour -> 896 Source KBA Finding the numbers really top. above all the ForTwo is really awesome. Why the KBA does not list the Twingo and ForFour in a category will probably remain a mystery forever. mfg Wiesel

Buy Smart 453 Brabus Convertible?
Moin, I’m thinking about buying a Smart Fortwo 453 Brabus Cabrio. Does anyone already have one and is worth the 453 Cabrio 90PS? Driving behaviour and acceleration against the 90hp variant with Prime package and sports suspension. What does in the exhibition DIN and what not. Be happy about your information. Greetings

Insurance
Hello together! I’m not new in the motor talk, but new here in the forum, just ordered me a 453. Well, a month ago. 🙂 What I wanted to ask: Actually, it was clear to me that I had the Smart, as I did with the predecessors, also assured at Smart. Meanwhile, however, I got the offer, was a bit astonished that it is only a few euros cheaper than my Q5, and ran a few insurance comparisons. All cheaper. Ok, which make up! I now know how to cost less, but can one tell me which insurances are also good, i.e. legitimate demands without tailmeck and quickly settle ? Currently AllSecur is in the lead. Among the cheaper, also with all the chicans in the contract, and I have at least not found a complete tear of them. Can someone tell me something about them, or has a better tip ? Oliver

smart fortwo Model 2010 – Changes
Does anyone have information about whether and when smart makes changes to the fortwo – facelift or small changes? e.g. all gasoline engines should be switched to EURO5 (long overdue!), cdi with closed particle filter (already known) etc.

No oil, engine damage, spark plugs, why?
Evening, I went to the car of my night-beavers earlier. Problem was that the spark plugs had probably already 60,000 down and there was no oil to be seen on the oil stick. So spark plugs out, 2 of them were completely gone (outside poles vebrannt), so he suddenly only ran on 2 cylinders and the other 4 still well worn. ALso 6 new spark plugs pure, oil filter changed, old oil sucked away I had no way to, so new oil refilled about 2.5 liters ;-). Is that normal, or was there really only so little oil in the engine? After that, I replenished and started oil to Max. The engine runs, but in my opinion with too little compression on the one cylinder. Is running restless and no mountain out of the way up. Can this now be due to too much oil in the engine (although only max on the bar), or is the cylinder head seal or piston ring burned and leaked due to the very low oil level? Could much I only got the car with push-on from the underground garage entrance, realz. LG

ForTwo Air Conditioning Problem
Hello, I bought a ForTwo BJ 2004 from a Hämdöer (in September 2007). Now I switched on the air conditioner for the first time, since I never needed it before. The engine speed drops short, I think, a sign that the compressor has plugged in via the magnetic coupling. The air, which then comes out of the nozzles (of course turned on) is both at stage 1 and at stage 2 minimally cooler than the internal air (at the external temperature approx. 23 °C). You can’t talk about cold air at all. Is it normal that the greenhouse gas has already erupted after about 4 years? Does anyone have any idea what a refill costs? Do you have to do this at the smart center, or can you do it at a free workshop? Thanks Rambaldi

Do these Alu’s take care of the Smarti? (7.5×17)
Hello dear community! I usually come from the A3 range. My girlfriend has a Smart ForTwo Cabrio with steel rims since Saturday. Now should decent aluminums on it. We could get to the following quite cheap, but am not sure if they are not too big after all: DBV RE01 front 7.5×17 ET42 rear 7.5×17 ET42 hole circle 3×112 Included in delivery is an attachment set (distance discs?). The ET would then be at the front on 27 and at the back on 32. Too heavy or fits that in the Radkas If necessary, we should combine some subtle lowering springs from H&R. As an alternative we would have these rims: NIXXON Design “BALI” Front axle: 4,5×15 ET:23,5 Rear axle: 5,5×15 ET:22 These should fit easily, as an ABE is included. What do you say? Greetings! Fabe
