Hello, someone might have a clue which diagnostic device (Amazon, Kaufland, etc.) is naturally able to learn from my 450 Bj keys. Is there something like that? Can this be one of the launch devices from 750 Euro where “Immo Keys” is advertised everywhere, but unfortunately only Merzedes and not Smart is supported? Delphi with laptop and additional hardware is actually too complex to work in. Would you like to just buy, connect, works Thanks for the tips Juergen

Smart 451 strange squeaking while driving slowly.Brem drum rear right significantly hotter
Only after a month I notice that it is not the others, but my 451 year 2007 Smart. It squeaks somewhere(not always) while driving slower in the zb.1 course. Of course, I first thought about the brake drums in the back as the previous owner gave me this new at the sale.It just provoked the noise again and when I squeaked at 10km/h and pull the hand brake a few times then it slightly changes the noise. Just got out and fingers to the rims in the back. Left was not even lukewarm and right already very warm, the brake drum itself should be hot. Must be clear, or? because the engine is running the heat out somewhere right brake drum, which I don’t believe. What do you think?

New here and a few questions about the Smart Media System and Tomtom at the Smart 453
Hey together, I’ve had the new Smart 453 as a proxy with Smart Media for a week. I’d have a few questions about this (operating instructions don’t give any answers here). 1. How do I get all Tomtom live services (only traffic is activated, but according to BA, all except radar should be activated) 2. What apps are there for the Smart Media system? (according to BA, which one is available) 3. When I put the SD card into the notebook, it shows that there is nothing on the map, but apparently the Navi has to practice r SD card and PC updated? Experience after test drive (generation 2)
Hello together I recently brought my 451 to the service and since I have been thinking about buying a 453 I have taken the 71 HP version as a replacement vehicle. I noticed a few things that I would not have expected and I wanted to know your opinion (of course always in direct comparison to the 2nd generation).1.) I could not stretch my left leg anywhere, but only angled in front of the wheel box. Alternatively I could hold the I’m 1.80 and I’m not a giant. Is that just possible for me or does that bother others??? Conclusion: after 20 minutes of driving, I was happy to stretch my left leg again. 2.) The turning circle is phenomenal. Especially in Vergelich zum 451! 3. The suspension is now also suitable for 4.) Radio, well. I just don’t like these cheap touchscreen solutions. I didn’t like the sound quality better. 5.) Storage possibilities 6.) The start-stop automatic is a joke. It takes 2 seconds until it starts. Thank God, you can deactivate it. 7.) The 71hp engine went pretty fast. Even compared to my old 84hp 3-cylinder.

Smart behaves strangely when braking
Hello everyone, nice that there is this forum, because I have a really unpleasant problem with my smart. Actually I am really happy with the car, but when braking it reacts so strangely, that I hope to not get into a too brittle situation. It is a Smart Cabrio, built in January 2018 with currently approx. 9000 km. I took over the car, it is a leasing vehicle. When braking down from high speeds (90 km/h +) ” I can’t really describe it. Last Sunday we were in the vehicle together and I had to slow down strongly because of a traffic jam on the highway. I had a feeling that the front wheels were “nickling” inwards so that even my fellow driver noticed it. Unfortunately, he never does these things when my husband drives him. Meanwhile, I feel pretty stupid, the gentlemen here surely know this from their marriage. uen. Not only that we lack the orientation (at least to me), now come also such dubious mistakes, the woman can not properly explain. I found nothing of the kind here in the forum and hope now very much for feedback from as credible male users as possible. Many greetings from Baden-Württemberg Serenata

Is Passion equipment worth it?
We think about buying a Smart EQ. Is not decided yet, but I like to play with the configurator. Questions: 1) Does Passion pay for the standard equipment? If I equip both variants with the same extras and take the aluminium rims also with the standard equipment, it is still about 900 € difference. These then flow into the leather steering wheel, dashboard and upholstery, as well as the mirror cap color. It is actually only for the haptic and optics, right? I think this is quite different, but the dealer said that there are hardly any smarts sold in standard equipment. Most of them are passion. Hmm… And isn’t the fabric faucet board difficult to clean too? (vacuum?). If you take Tailor-made, you have a plastic faucet board again, just colored. I think Passion is especially there. The springboard, if you want to have a better equipment, such as Navi, JBL, Tailor, LED taillights and a lot more. That’s not with the standard equipment. But in itself Passion is actually too expensive, isn’t it? 2) Coupe or convertible is also such a question. Discounts are deducted it probably only about 2700 € difference. That’s actually not too much, isn’t it? What’s needed more? 3) When convertible, I find the red roof great, because you use the black roof It’s hard to see that it’s a convertible. Unfortunately, not many colors can be combined with a red roof, actually only white, grey and black, or how do you see it? Favorize now:https://www.smart.com/…/onlinecode.html?cc-onlinecode=MFNP8K9T (series, 28647 €) or:https://www.smart.com/…/onlinecode.html?cc-onlinecode=MOIXLWRS (passion, 29562 €) Morning test drive, I’m curious. After that we decide whether we’ll do it. The idea is also to take the environmental premium with us, so that the loss in the first two years is minimal. How long we keep it is still open. j.

Does my car have irreparable damage???
Hello, I have a big problem: I had parked twice in front of my new house on Friday (I just moved). You have to drive on the street side to parking completely with all the wheels over the curb, i.e. it is a wide sidewalk, whose street side is used to park (long to the road). Now it happened to me on the spot in front of the house (in other places never before) twice that I parked with the left lower edge of the car full on the boron The second time, even though I was very careful. I found out that the kerb is extrm high or the cobblestone of the road sank down. Now yesterday, an acquaintance said that this could have caused considerable damage to the car. There is nothing to be seen, but we found that the car smells extremely stinking (exhaust is new), and I have noticed that since then the driver’s door has squealed and become more difficult. Is that possible? It is a VW Lupo BJ 99, i.e. the car is not worth tens-1000 euros more. But he has driven well and was all right so far. I would be very sad if he was broken now, is my first car, and I don’t really have a lot of money, but I depend on the car…. I’ll be going to a workshop as soon as possible next week. Can someone tell me until then whether it’s still hopeful that there will be a total damage on the car! And if I can go to work on the highway this morning? Katja

quattro, syncro, 4motion
Hi someone can help me. I am looking for information about all four-wheel systems of the VW Audi Group. Starting from the mechanical urquattro via the torsendiffernzial to the haldex coupling in 4 motion. But, is there Haldex coupling also available at audio or is only the torsendifferntial installed here? because I read that the haldex coupling is better for ABS and ESP, because it can be electronically controlled. why does audi only build the torsendifferntial a ? why is the T4 bus with all-wheel syncro and not 4motion ? it may be that at VW there was also a non-permanent all-wheel system in t3 for example. For more information about all four-wheel systems and where they would be installed I would be very grateful Mfg Fireburner

SMART FORTWO 453 90 HP Turbo with 100 octan
I would like to return to the topic of performance and driving behaviour at the 90 hp turbo. We have our Smart now almost three months. Top satisfied, everything goes as it should. I tried Super, Super Plus and just V-Power. I know that there are countless tests and proofs that normal engines with 100 octan can’t do anything, etc. Therefore my report is also purely subjective. The most noticeable change can be noticed right after starting in idle. r the engine trembled a little, that is now completely over. I also feel the sprint behavior as improved, the engine seems to be more aggressive. I can’t say anything about the consumption. I drive the smart rather sporty and on the AB it has to keep its V/max. Then it lies so at 10 – 11 l on 100 km. What about it, the car brings fun.

New Smart Disease!?
Wanted to ask in this way: in our Smart 453 family (me, wife, neighbor) the phenomenon accumulates in the last weeks and months that the tyre pressure control suddenly comes to the floor. Was once again also, especially after tyre change Winter/Summer vice versa, but after reset everything again well (well with tyre service slurled). Last but not more only reset, but really pressure loss. Mostly on all 4 tires, totally different without pattern front/back n and partly significant: in my case about 2 weeks ago, the rear was left instead of 2.5 only 1.6 bar!! No tire / rim damage visible, after pumping up until now everything is good again. Before the front left marked, rest zw 0.2-0.5 bar pressure drop. So really no pattern recognizable, which would then indicate a damage. As said, with the woman and with the neighbor as well!?? My guess: Red pin at the valves, Mercedes and its shareholders must be supported more in these hard Z Do you have similar experiences or do we just have bad luck? Say hello to Tony
