Hey guys, on my 2007 84hp it was almost not possible to ride with Softouch, because it always turned up very late. My mother now has a completely new MHD of 08/2010 and it turns up really super early, sometimes almost a bit too early! Can someone tell me exactly from when this change was made? Or is it because Mama’s Smart is now an MHD and the Turbos still have the same vote? Are just looking for a Gee and that should have this new gear tuning, because finally you can use Softouch properly!!! Thanks already!!

New Smart there, now the sound is missing! (Question about Boxes/Subwoofer)
Hi has been a member of the club for two days, but as a second car I got a 2002 Smart cdi pure convertible. I’m happy with the car at the latest since refueling (3.5l without sneaking), but what’s not possible is the sound (the one from the boxes). Don’t get wrong, from the age where it has to be done so loudly “BUMM! BUMM!”, that you can hear it next to a starting tornado, I’m out. In my 2002 Smart afaik the standard 10er boxes without bass reflex housing are installed, because the in 2000 These cardboard things are of course the last scrap, because the hands-free device of my mobile phone sounds better. So I want to soon get to the SC to have the things retrofitted (cost the pair about 50€). Because they are not only good for the sound, but also ensure that 13.0cm speakers fit in (otherwise only 10.0). Meaningful Pionieer TS A1303. In addition a matching CD/MP3 radio of the “100€ price class” with corresponding performance. I have noc h don’t think about it. Aja, now the most important thing. Since 13 boxes produce hardly/no “pressure”, I thought to install an active subwoofer under one of the seats. Does anyone know how high the maximum installation depth can be? Ideally someone knows a suitable system up to 100€?! Thought about it. Do you think that fits under it? I don’t want to build a small trunk with a bandpass tube! Or do I still have a thinking error somewhere else or do you have a better idea?! For example, good 13s that make a subwoofer unnecessary? As I said, it’s not about volume, but just about being able to hear “ordinary” music. Thank you for your ideas!

Roof in 451 leaks, (not convertible)
Hello dear community, I have been a member of this round for a few months and read again and again and some amused some reports. So it should be. Now I have a question myself. My little 451, Bj early 2008, 38000 km, suddenly has a headache. First after the hand wash I saw some water drops on the roof above the driver’s door, during the subsequent dry drive I had a clear air whistle in the interior. With the hand on the roof, inside over me ha It’s not the case on the right. Has anyone already observed similar things? SC Düsseldorf refuses to accept any claims for culant or guarantee. Would be nice if someone from the experts could give me some tips. The fun should cost 500.- EUR!!! PS: It’s not a convertible, I’m afraid only if the roof breaks further, it’s soon one. Dear Greetings, Michael

Good offer?? Smart ForTwo Cabrio cdi pure
A warm hello to the Smart community. I am actually on the road in the Passatforum. But after 90% my better half has my passat, my previous construction site car is defective and used up, I need a reasonable 2. car. The first choice was of course on a Smart. I used to drive a rental and find the car simply class. So, now because of my bad location (no own car 🙂 ) have bits of rummaged and found the following car enhttp://suche.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… (hope with the link) Have I read through so far that I know the 2003-2005 would be the most sensible. Budget would be max 4000,- Drive daily about 30-50km, is it worth it since the cdi? IS it OK with a convertible if no climate is available? Thanks already for the help.

Deficient exhaust turbocharger
Hello everyone, yesterday we picked up our City Coupe smart & passion from the inspection and were pointed out that the exhaust turbocharger, or the associated dumpster has a crack. Since the vehicle is only three and a half years old, the manufacturer has declared himself willing to take part of the considerable costs, – but the part must now definitely be replaced. On demand, I was informed that the damage is not due to incorrect driving or e.g. I would be interested to know if this damage has already occurred with other smarts, or if someone knows if you can’t repair something like this (sweat). And how the manufacturer has behaved in other cases of culprits. I am grateful for any information! spechtin

Smart foutwo motorway suitable ?
ICh has already read several times that the smart wouldn’t be so good for the highway, is that true? Why not? Spring comfort ? Problem with track grooves ? Volume ? What is the realistic usage at 90 – 100 km/h ? I have 50 km to work every day and 50 km back and am more the one who gets stuck at 90 km/h on the right track. The track is 80/100/130 partly open. With an A 170 CDI I am sometimes at maximum speed, where you were allowed to drive 190 km/h and otherwise always 20 km/h s Has much 10-12 min saving brought me on the complete track and more than twice as much consumption. By the way, how is the sound system in the Smart Fortwo?

Big problems with the Smart Convertible ForTwo with 84 HP Turbo
My question and request, are there any other people or smart friends affected by such problems with such a Smart (a Smart Convertible ForTwo with 84 HP Turbo)? Please read this once and maybe you have a tip on how to proceed.1. On May 25, 2010, I wrote this letter to the Smart Headquarters on the advice of my workshop. ___ ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ . News (25.04.2010) today for the first inspection I delivered my vehicle to my contract workshop. There the customer complaint was also recorded again: resonance noise on the engine (drowning). (customer no. 505831, order no. 410489 00, contract workshop: smart Service Roßbach Automobile, Poppenbütteler Weg 5, 22339 Hamburg) At a speed of between 60 and 63 km/h, the smart in automatic mode switches already into the fifth gear and thus drives undertour. Dadurc h creates an unbearable roaring and vibration in the vehicle interior. Since the average speed in the city area of Hamburg is 60 – 65 km/h, I would therefore have to do without the advantages of the automatic operation chosen by me when buying the smart. I can only avoid this disturbing noise if I switch from the automatic operation I prefer to manual switching operation. After the workshop had also switched on the plant, I have the following factory information The following feedback from the factory: … depends on the driver as a whole when the gearbox is switched on. If the driver is sporty, the gearbox will switch later and will couple faster. If the driver is very comfortable, the gearbox will switch earlier and couple slower! The gearbox has different switching parameters, which always adapt to the driver. However, the customer always has the option of manually moving in. If he is uncomfortable with the switching characteristics … With this answer one can perhaps satisfy a novice, but not a long-standing “smart friend”. As I take from the above answer, the problem described by me is known to the factory. A vehicle manufacturer with a definitely not small development department, would have to do everything possible to solve such a problem, especially since with this noise level driving has become almost intolerable. I would also like to ask you, after consultation with the workshop master Mr. XXX from my contract workshop, to schedule a factory engineer for a joint test drive. I would be very pleased about an answer with a solution proposal. If this solution proposal is positive, I am also happy to recommend the vehicle to my colleagues of the Norddeutscher Rundfunk. Here again all important data: Vehicle type: Smart FORTWO Cabrio, WME4514321K262813, Ke nnmark OD-TM677, date of first authorisation13.03.2009 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ May 2010. Please apologise for our late answer. We are pleased that you have again chosen a smart as a “long-term smart friend”. We regret to hear that you are dissatisfied with the switching behavior of your vehicle’s automatic transmission. In order to get a better picture of the situation, we have consulted with the service management of the smart Service Hamburg and our technical department. Our result in detail: From the background in the system We find that your car does not have a technically detectable error. Be sure that your smart is in a state of comparable vehicles. Therefore, no improvement can be achieved either through changes, adjustments or other work. Therefore, it would be nice if you could be convinced during the next rides that you can use your smart without restriction. e to Tangstedt xxx smart Customer Service (This message has been generated electronically and is valid without signature) Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht N.V. Don’t jump right, don’t run right
Hello, the Smart ForTwo built in 2000 600cm3 displacement CDI has not started since today. History: Last Saturday he did not start in the morning, it had rained through the trunk. We are still looking for the leak. The engine was wet from above. In the evening he jumped again without any problems. He ran the whole Sunday without any problems. Then he was not moved until today. This morning he already did not start again. Even this evening nothing went on. the feeling that the engine is running weak. As soon as you turn off the starter, the engine is off again. It smells like burned diesel from the exhaust. Unfortunately, we do not have a read-out device for the fault memory. Is there cheap that you can recommend? The next workshop is unfortunately about 40km away…;( thanks for your help

Test drive with Smart, but how?
Hey guys, will be doing a test ride on Saturday with a Smart Fortwo. However, I have never driven an automatic car, but only the good old switches. Now there is a “automatic” smart and a “switch” smart. But the latter is not a real switch, but as I understood, a combination of automatic and switch. Which would you personally recommend to me, can I even move a smart forward?
