so first of all praise to EUER forum quite nice here.I did not see such a close-up in any forum as here at smart-da the ghosts seem to divorce!! since the highly praised fault-free running power “knutschkugel” times the most fault-infested pushcart of the world! What I don’t like so much, however, is the personal hostility in some threads!!!is improveable! now to me: I drive a mercedes c220cdi from 2001 and I am extremely satisfied would never defy it. However, my friend wants to make the license soon and we do not see it to buy such a car yet something corsa,fiesta-like because the car should be more or less as an emergency solution for the one who needs a car (if one of us should already be on the road).Of course also as a “beginner car” for him.At the same time I am looking for “the”pass car for in between(my friend is certainly looking forward to driving the benz) I have smart since his appearance n hated how the pest-intermediately one could say I fell in love (have never sat in, let alone driven along!) only for me comes only the 2seater cdi in question. how can you convince me to buy him(advantage-disadvantages) many thanks for the answers in advance

Hey Smarti driver, yesterday saw a report on Automotor&Sport TV, how someone had converted a Smart for2 and finally 125 hp and ne vMax of 220Km/h. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the report. I would be happy about every info, as I will be with you in the summer as well… Thank you very much.

Durability Smart CDI
Hello together, my friend wants to buy a Smart Diesel, because she is very often in the city and on overland, about 150 km a day. Since I don’t know about the smarts at all I wanted to ask you how it stands about the durability: The object of the desire has 104000 km on it and is from 4/2000 should cost 3000 Euro incl. 1 year warranty from the dealer. However, I worry a bit about two things: the small engine with so much km ? I once heard of a mechanic that the smart petrol engine has to be a revision of the engine at 60,000 km, is that true? If so, what does it look like with the diesel? many thanks to you

Roadster engine conversion, gearbox conversion??
Hello people, so last year I ran a Roadster Brabus test, and that’s already a nice thing, but the circuit is a disaster (my opinion). Now I’ve considered the following considerations. I read somewhere in the forum that he has an automated gearbox, so there must be the possibility to convert to a real circuit, or am I wrong? I have no idea how the gearbox is set up, maybe the m Or could you possibly install the diesel engine from 44? I think it would have 95hp, wouldn’t it? It would have to go like hell. I don’t have a roadster yet, I bought a second-hand Audi A8 last year in view of the price/performance ratio of the roadster, it cost just as much, but it has a lot of space, comfort and quietness… etc. But now in the early year the desire for a roadster as a fun car already comes up again, but it’s good to hear about it. uche are still too expensive for me to buy it out of fun. In addition, the schaltzng would still bother me, so the question is whether you can do something. Greetings Roland

Accident and the Smarti consequences 🙁
Hello Smartfriends, unfortunately my beauty is the days a bit unsavory along a guardrail “ratched” because she wanted to avoid a rabbit… The fender is in the back right, scratched is fenders front right, door panel in the middle and tridion up to the tank cover Some things I can polish, if necessary even stick the fender, but favorite would be new or used parts for small money …It’s a Smart 450 from 07/2002 in grey metallic (Baygrey) Well now agree e Questions: 1) Do you have a source where I can get cheap used or new body panels? 2) Or does one of you have parts? 3) What could I use for gluing? 4) And the most important – where do I get the right paint for spraying and paint pen? Is it in the smart center? Is this even possible to paint on the plastic with spray can Is there a color number for BayGrey? Thanks in advance to the round.

Oil change
Hello together, have now my first oil change with my cdi Bj. 2003 behind me. Sucking out the oil from the measuring rod is really an “unoptimal” solution. When looking at the engine from below I mean that it is possible to perform an oil change over the outlet from the oil filter! has anyone ever tried something like this? I mean that it is the lowest point of the motor. if you jack up the smart front a little, then it would have to be so possible? Greetings hanne

Moisture in the Smart City Coupe
Hello! I hope you can help me! I’ve been driving a Smart City Coupe for six months and have been having a problem finding moisture in both footrooms for several weeks. On both sides the carpet underside is dripping wet! Have dried the carpet several times and after a ride in the rain it is wet again. What can this be? My car dealer has already renewed both door rubbers, resealed both rear window windows and examined the entire car without Erfo lg! Maybe you can give me some useful tips. Thank you!!!

How much can this smart cost?
Hello, I have been offered a Smart and wanted to ask you as a smart driver about the price. 1 hand accident-free checkbook maintained Air conditioning Tiptronic ( semi-automatic ) Central locking with remote control Pure Cdi Driving gear is in a good condition KM: 95000 Price: 4000 is this offer ok? Or should I rather put on 1000€ and get one with less km. After a test drive with a CDI from the Smart Center I was very averse because the engine was even and the car switched only at half-gas. Then I drove this and he drove much better and quickly reached the 100km/h. The car is thought to be the second car, only for city and completion drives or to eat KM. Thanks in advance.

motor is VERY loud, is that the smart usual ???
Hello, I got my first car 3 days ago. a smart fortwo & pulse gasoline 45hp BJ 2002 with 80 000 km running. I’ve often heard that the smarts have problems with the motor and also on the internet many smarts were offered, which already have an exchange motor. I think that a smart is a super car for the city, which costs little in maintenance & that is important for me. I took a familiar to the test drive, which looked at it and said that Now I picked him up for good today and had a little bit of fear, because the engine was really extremely loud and made light grinding noises. Some say this is normal with the smart, because still I am afraid that I have to put in a lot of money again because what is wrong.. is this normal ???
