  • in love with the for four !

Hello together, I’ve been a for four, temporary, as a company driver since my company car is in the factory city for a week. I have to say that I made rolling eyes when I learned that I drive this small car almost 10 days MUST now for just under a week I am totally excited and I want to get one. I researched and had to determine that the for four was built only from 2004 to 2006. what I don’t understand?!! I drive a 9 5 ps diesel with full equipment, except navi. on the side stands passion. has leather seats and a huge sliding roof. I came with about 40 liter diesel 1000 km far. na if that is no argument to buy this vehicle ….. !!! he is also full on the road and when I give kick-down it sounds like a motorcycle gas there so I am totally excited about this smart and will definitely buy one, if not even the company car I drive at the moment DARF ! what are the typical flaws of this vehicle ? the for four I drive is an automatic with 95 diesel ps, with leather and large panoramic sliding roof. just one I want to have. what are the flaws ? thanks to you smart drivers !!!

  • Add subwoofer to Smart – Beginners are looking for tips and help!

I recently had a new Smart forTwo. Since I am already a thinker, I have ordered the sound package to myself. However, the bass is really not ‘beautiful’ enough for me. That’s why I wanted to install an additional subwoofer now. I took a brochure from the media market around the corner of Magnat. I had either thought about a band pass subwoofer, or a bass reflex subwoofer (no I don’t know the difference). So I thought about a Magnat Edition B30 or an AD 130 Reflex. I know that you need a Hifi amplifier. So I need input, and that’s a lot. Is that possible? Relatively easy without changing much on the smart, installing more subwoofer power? And that’s also best so that it can be removed without any problems without leaving any damage. How do you do that and which material is best? Thanks in advance!

  • small Smart or vw Lupo? Need tips on how to buy max 1500€

Hello, I am looking for a small, very economical 2nd car for small short trips, I am “forced” to buy a reliable car as soon as possible because I finally got a new job and don’t have more like 1500€ at home. What does the small Smart consume? I rarely drive city rather overland and often. The Lupo 1.0l with 50hp consumes about 5.5-6l in mix operation, I think the Smart should top it or? What should I pay attention to? I read a lot of smarts at mobile dr in stands” engine when starting weak” runs only on 2 cylinders, “motor squints”, engine only half power” What does it have to do with it? I thank you in advance for your answer.

  • Pricing Smart Convertible

Hello guys, am currently looking for a suitable Smart Cabrio. Yesterday an acquaintance offered me the convertible of his mother. I personally keep the price but too high… the following vehicle Smart Cabrio, EZ 06/01 KM 66,000 color silver/silver power ?? no 45 HP… Equipment: climate,El. mirror, El. windows, leather seats, aluminum rims, cassette radio with CD changer Condition: I would give him a 3. Has been used stop by Mutter. On both rear lights is a On the top of the window frame is the “welding seam” on both sides where the metal frame of the disc connected with the columns are torn by the varnish. He told me that this is normal. Is that true? 2. When you open the doors on both sides a scouring spot can be seen where the edge of the plastic cladding around the door handle comes to the body. Do I have it reasonably usable e Priced he said we’d agree somewhere between 4500-5000, and I kind of think that’s too much.

  • Question about the Smart ForTwo Convertible

Aloha he, I plan to buy a Smart ForTwo Cabrio with 85hp as a second vehicle from year 08. Ideally it is not black or red and has extras like light package, seating, audio package…. I have already seen a few affordable ones at Mobile and autoscout24 (about 11000-13,000€). Now my questions: – 85hp because I want to overtake here and there. Do I need a lot more fuel with the engine with the same driving style than with the 71Ps’ler? In a test drive I didn’t have the feeling d as there are huge differences. Both from the pull through and from the consumption. But that is subjective…. – There are vehicles offered where the “great service” is due. What does this mean in terms of money? So what can cost such a thing (usually) – What do I have to pay attention to on site?. It becomes my first smart and my first convertible. For further suggestions I am happy to have. Thank you very much in advance Krauti

  • mhd buy – what do you pay attention to?

N’Evening! We need a second car! Among other things, there is a Smart 42 as an annual car as mhd (think, it should have the greatest mechanical reliability). The intended purchase price would be approx. 8,500€ – that should be realized?! What typical weaknesses does the Smart have and what typical weaknesses does the engine have? It will remain our car as much as 150 to 200tkm and it has to tear it down without engine damage or the like! Could it be able to do that? Driving profile would be like this ca. 3km city + 22km country road with ~80km/h + 6km city with a lot of stop ‘n’ Go The CDI is supposed to be rather weak-breasted – I hate that, therefore no diesel at the Smartie! Every now and then a holiday trip and otherwise a lot of country road with 70-90km/h in leisure time.

  • Engine probably flattened

I have a question. I bought a Smart last August Built 99 with 83,000 on the clock. Now I have big problems with my engine. Came out only black smoke in the back and no more performance. I towed this directly to Mercedes and relied on my used car warranty. I called the seller (dealer) and he told me to have it repaired. The insurance(guarantee) will take care of the damage plus the SB. SB would be in my case at a I can pay 40% myself in parts. Now we start from the worst and I get a new engine (because the personnel costs pay the guarantee, which certainly has to pay less when installing a new engine than when repairing it). That makes just under 500-600 EUR only my excess. Now my question: Why do I buy from the dealer if I have nothing from a used car guarantee? In the end I pay! I bought the car privately, which would probably have cost me less than 1000€, then I would shoot a cheap engine and install it myself (am a mechanic). Now I have paid a guarantee when buying, which in the end does not bring me anything but costs. Is that so right? Because in the end I have nothing of it. This insurance applies only to engine, turbochargers and diff. I am even forced to do my maintenance at a specialist workshop. to let what is again cost!

  • Smart 451 MHD switches in cold condition only with high DREH PAY

  • Purchase advice Smart convertible

hello, I am currently planning the change from my mini cooper to a smart cabrio and have various questions: 1. cabrios is available from 2001. since 2004/5 there are nen facelift and these convertibles are directly significantly more expensive. you get also some from 2001/2 with a little km hurt, because often city car etc… there were also important technical changes in addition to the facelioft so that you pay 5k euro instead of 3.5k e.g. approx.? 2. how much does the gasoline cabrio in the see to the diesel? unfortunately I can currently no I don’t guess if I’m still doing 25tkm a year or if I’m getting under 10k fast (by moving). I think tax etc. is also more expensive with the diesel. 3. many old smarts have only 50tkm away although they are almost 10 years old for example. is the smart eigtl. for such short distances “extra” gelget or are such motors certainly not the best then? 4. is it very different to drive a cabrio in the rain or in very cold weather? is there something leaking, colder or windy? r or something in the art? well, in summary I just want to save and cheap cabrio driving I then don’t brew a full cascade anymore, insurance is either way even cheaper, the car loses less value, less consumption etc… but also wants to buy nothing where I then have maintenance without ending. what do you think?

  • Differences in consumption of the F2 Coupe CDI

Hi I’m currently looking for a Smart Fortwo Coupe or Convertible CDI, budget 45.000€. What I noticed: Somehow there is a different factory specification for consumption in each display. There are “total consumption data of 3.0l; 3.1; 3.4 or also 3.8l. I have two 2006 CDI Pure (41PS) on hand, an automatic, a hand switch, both are indicated with 3.8l. So it can’t be on the gearbox?! Can someone tell me which model (pure, pulse, pasion etc.) I should take to be able to Do you drive a lot of roads and even more motorways than the city? Or is the difference only on paper at the end? Btw, should I – especially with regard to longevity – prefer to use a hand switch or automatic? Thank you in advance for your advice!
