Hello community, shortly before 200,000 km, the engine broke down with my treasurer – very annoying. Especially since I had the great service done a week before. I bought it with 90,000 km in 10/2019. Thought at first, someone hit me in the back, because he gave me a jerk to the front when I hit the ignition. Engine was starting normally, however, he started to beep loudly in the same rhythm about half a minute and to flash red on the oil light. Engine turned off directly and then it didn’t turn on again, only a buzz was to hear during the engine’s turn-on attempt. An exact diagnosis could not give me either, to do so they would have to screw on, which they can also like to do. Regardless of that and because I don’t have time, I would like to order a replacement engine, which can then be installed directly, at least a new one with 0 km – what do you mean? My vehicle has 71 hp, you can only order a suitable one with the turbo- one with 84.

After careful consideration and due to the use (excluding short distances) I had been on the road for some time towards the electric car of the small (st) car class. Last week, a three-year-old 453 EQ convertible with under 20,000 KM was bought first hand for under 50% of the new price – comes at the end of the week. I offered my 451 Cabrio Passion with 71 HP and 104,000 for the fixed price of 3.500,- on the weekend and it was gone after a few hours. Purchased 45 months ago for 3.950,- – the value loss was right. However, I had invested a lot besides maintenance, exhaust (with cat) and clutch with actuator. I found the smart concept always class, had a 450 CDI (cross parking but constantly trouble with the AGR), then the 451 (I knew what to buy – maintenance residue). At the beginning I found the 453 too large, but the test drive finally convinced me – before all the turning circle of 7 meters. Sometimes see how the balance looks at the end.

I’m not sure if this is correctly placed in the forum, but I just want to sensitize other people if they order something there and send it back again. I ordered a used disk wiper rod there in October and it was delivered very quickly. When unpacking it together with my father-in-law we came to the decision that this part was too worn out to replace it on the car. I got the answer that I can just return it franked again. I did so the next day and delivered it to the DHL acceptance point. As far as it was quite normal, but then I got a day after the package was delivered there a message from DHL that I would be able to return it to me again. I called up and got the information that with the part sent back from me it would not be returned to the part of the message that was refused to give it back to me.

People, With my Smart Fortwo 451 bj 2009 km 122000 today the yellow control light approached. Although it drives normally also normal accelerated etc I wanted to know by a few smart experts what this could be about?! When starting, engine turns neatly, however, does not always start. Can you possibly hear a petrol pump before setting the ignition? Reading out the memory has not yet indicated any faults. Presumably, that it might be a cautiously expressed one of the famous wobble contacts. To conclude this as far as possible, I want to check the relevant possible weak points. Battery (new), connections / mass at the front right down no visible defects. Sits down everything fixed. A. Ignition lock / switch lever, console solve? How do I get there? B. The same for foot brake pedal connections? C. Driver seat expands. Binge the underneath drawer not to get out to the underneath units. Where can I use the picture room, too?

Moin people, I’m new in the forum and since yesterday also owner of a Smart 451 CDI convertible. I got carried away by a test drive with a Smart Roadster (was too uneconomical for me) to a Smart 451 CDI convertible. Normal no car I would have bought otherwise, my last cars were BMWs or Mercedes, well iwi it’s a Mercedes^^ It’s my first smart and my first convertible. The smart is in the Passion equipment, seat heating, light sensor, radio 9 , Bluetooth hands-free device ….etc. Built 03.08 70,000 on the Tacho. Since I would like to perform the inspections myself I wanted to know if you have a service plan, when will what be done and what is in the inspections on the plan. I also wanted to know what oil and how much the engine gets. Have read there is the possibility to exchange the original tub for an oil-screw, is the exchange itself to work out? About a service plan I would be very connected to you.

Good morning. My smart loses some oil. I have the workshop appointment but only on Thursday morning. In my parking lot I have now placed cardboard in place that it does not get any more on the stones. With a photo of the place where the oil exit. There are a few drops per night. My question is whether this is the engine? Did one of you ever have a leak at the place? Sincerely Jens
