The hammer came then still in the SC, the SC had not at first a rented car before, then called the hotline from there, there one actually meant that I couldn’t get a rental ticket, I had to drive my smart again, the hotline again, and had to call it again, and then the SC got a little bit of a ride).

Hello community, my wife has been driving for 4 months Smart BJ 2000, 96 000 km. We bought the truck so normal in August but so slowly I think that the dealer has linked us because we only have problems with the car. And tomorrow we want to drive to the dealer and sometimes nice talk about warranty and repair if given. Now to the problems: – If you turn on the light only burns the floor light, the normal light as well as the main light does not go. Lamps are however quite. – the handbrake light light despite that the handbrake is solved – to 700 km the car eats up to ok about 115 km/h, easy jump again and in front of me have a truck in sight. I get closer and get closer to the truck, somehow I had a feeling that the car once felt less power and I didn’t have to go down again.

For two days (we’ve had it over – 10 degrees in the last nights) my Smart Fortwo, gasoline engine, 61 hp, built in 2004 and 24000 km light up both the ABS and the ESP control light. I’ll turn off the engine immediately and start it all back to normal. During the ride, both lights light up again from time to time. I think, however, that the ABS works because I felt the pulsation in the pedal during a strong braking attempt. Who has the same problems or is there any remedy for a car that was already more in the workshop than any other car I’ve ever owned or just been driving (Saab Cabrio and BMW X3 and Honda Africa Twin). Hello, I’ve also had a 451 with 71 HP since a month, is really fun the part. Now it has snowed hard in the last days and I could test the winter tires (although used but still well preserved). It is Hankook in the standard size 155 / 175 and it is clear to me that Hankook is certainly not the market leader …. but that’s not possible at all! Neither on stuck snow nor on snow mud… When the little one finally sets off he constantly slows down with the ESP, as soon as you just breathe the gas pedal he wants to get across …. not that I have something against it … but he doesn’t drive straight out at all 🙁 Now my question: Is the larger tire width 175 / 195 or even 195 / 215 in winter rather conducive to liability or is the little one then too light and builds up no liability or should I order only the best winter tire in the 155 / 175 size ? What do you drive so and how do you get along with it ?

Moin, now in the cold days I’m more and more interested in the fact that our Smart CDI is getting warm too late, even after 70km there is no more than the 40 degree egg in the combi instrument. I also noticed that the fan for the cooler is already right after the start. Besides, the heater doesn’t work so well anymore, the light is on but there is no warm air. Hello, I’m just thinking about whether I have a (used) smart. In general, I want to have a car of my own (otherwise only have my mother’s polo, and not always). With the smart I found a car with a rather cheap “lifestyle” effect and driving fun (?) in the purchase. The 451 passion should be it, gasoline (pure city car, clear) and 71hp (or better: 81hp). Would be nice the “sound package”, or at least the additional boxes + subwoofers. But since the car is bought used, you can’t expect that in every car. So, my questions: What should you look at when buying? Tomorrow I drive to the smart dealer, but I have already run a little on Autoscout24.de. Are 800€ realistic or should I rather assume that I have 9000? From how many kilometers on the tacho you should consider buying two times? What follow-up costs can be calculated (except now of course insurance, gasoline)?

Hello, I would like to buy a used car soon and have put the smart cdi into the narrow selection. Now I want to know if the smart is the right car for me. I am often at risk of the smart CDI and am satisfied with the driving behaviour. As a matter of fact: I have about 7000 euros available which I would like to invest in a used car. I will drive about 300 km of city traffic every month, 1000 km of motorway (with approx. 120 km/h) and 1400 km of highway (I think a diesel makes sense when it comes to mileage). I don’t have a lot of money, therefore the car should be as imperturbable as possible, or not often what expensive things are going wrong. I have never been allowed to drive a car on me, and I am only 23, which is why the insurance is a big cost factor. Is the smart CDI a good choice, if it is important to me above all to keep the operating and undercrow costs low. The consumption values of the smart speak for myself, however, I have already read here that the fact that the actual consumption can differ greatly on the highway. Which vehicle’s a good choice?

Hello together, here in the ruhrgebiet it snows the whole day at up to minus 5 degrees. under the snow cover we have partly pure ice. our smart (winter tire) broke out tonight on a straight track. at approx. 40 km/h it has become an uncontrollable shot and on the opposite track sideways a approx. 10 cm high bordstone popped up. the rear mature is incl. rim complete fritz. at the front mature I could not see anything at first glance. am not sure if we can now run it over the full cascade or if maybe only the mature is broken. but is probably rather a wish idea; just as the banged up 🙁 what can with such a lateral crash (stand after that completely on the bordstein). still break everything. what for a technique sits behind the mature? gruß, oli
