the 3liter Smart (for now) long distance suitable?
Hey people, I’d like to get a smart fortwo soon and love it with the economical diesel. I’ll mainly use it to commute 4 years about 130km via highway. My questions: 1. How much should it have maximum on the clock? 2. What do you think of this Powercap Chiptuning adapter set? thus the fuel consumption or life time of the engine decreases? 3. Does the engine on long distance really consume only 3,4l 4. Is there a model series that is known for hoarse reps 5. How much can used with 50tkm max. cost? Thanks already for answers!

Hello Smart community, I think about buying a Smart and I found one after my wishes accordingly. Here’s the link:http://www.autoscout24.de/…/detail.asp?… How do you find the ? What do you say to the 91,000km too much ? How about the price ? What is an Air Conditioning Plus ? I don’t know about Smarts at all it would really help me if you could write something about it because I’m going to look at the car tomorrow. Thank you

Disability
My buddy has now bought such a “Smart for four” “car”, nobody knows exactly why! Recently we went to three men with the object to Metz, that was cruel. The comrade who was sitting in the back would have needed trombose stockings or preventive syringes to hold the 600 km drive. The thing is the purest harassment ! If you want to open the windows, then you will find the corresponding four operating units somewhere between the front seats. nn additionally covered by the middle armrest, that is not possible at all! It constantly beeps in the thing – not strapped on, hand in the pants or plucked – the suitcase aum is a better glove compartment, the tank indicator is not usable, a temperature indicator for the coolant is missing ! The tacho is a joke, just like the tank content. Who refuels in Luxembourg needs an enormous tank ! *grins* Of the disadvantages that the low ground clearance brings with it, better not report at all. Only the engine, which seems to be quite nice (1.5l diesel 95 hp) if the but lettuce oil swallows ? *laughs* Greeting from the critical driver world !

Help! I bought it now…
Hello, after a long time of smiling at the Smart 42 (excuse me – in hindsight I am very sorry) I could say after a test drive: The car is great….it is indescribable! Now I have struggled with me for a long time, have driven a Fiat Brava in the last 7 years which is actually still quite ok and reliable, but my resistance was broken when I saw Him: smart 42 convertible in stream-green, EZ:10/2001, 61 hp, 23000 km… mer! I bought it, pick it up (if everything works out) on Tuesday…but my joy didn’t last long when I looked into this forum: Achsbruch, engine damage (mostly on models before 2003 when I read correctly), various other defects……Oh NO! I have a right to return, but actually I wanted to keep this pretty little bag until the scrap is passed on to us? And that shouldn’t be in the near future. Of course every car has a “weh-wehchen” from time to time, but vo Now I would like to know from experienced smart drivers: How do I do everything right? What should I consider? Are there “typical” flaws (or also childhood diseases) that should be kept in mind? I would like to enjoy my vehicle for a long time and to give the smart (he was only in good hands! ;o) a nice life to prepare… so please tell me a few tips and tricks so that I can sleep quietly again. Thank you. Dear greetings, SMARTeLady

for4 – how best to drive
I’m on a fuel saving competition soon. There are smarts put with which everyone then drives a just 20km long distance. Now I need a few general and car related tips. Gahren is with a petrol 1.3 95ps switch transmission via boardcomputer then comes to the final bill. What is so the ideal speed range that the engine still manages well? So shortly before nibbling off? Extreme creeping (~30kmh is unfortunately not approved – just like increased air pressure) How do I best behave when it comes to a red ampel? Motor brake or still foot brake? I heard about the engine brake is not injected in the opposite to the foot brake in modern cars. I am grateful for all further tips.

Too high fuel consumption at CDI Smart
Hello we bought us at the beginning of the year n new CDI for2 Smart Passion Bj2006. Now this has a considerably increased sprite consumption than our old CDI Smart. ok that had the smaller tires this does not make out 1.5l. In purely computer terms we come with a tank filling 300 km far which are then always about 18l diesel. These are then about 6 l to 100 km. That is a bit much for the CDI Smart… We were now already with a consumption measurement in the smart center according to PC li If the flow rate at 4.7 l is still heavy but better than 6 l. The smart dealer can’t deal with our actual consumption of 6 l Smart prescribes the test with the read out via the PC. So the problem with the high consumption –> purely mathematically from petrol station to petrol station with 6 l still exists! Can one of you please help me here… with our old Smart we are with a tank filling and the same distance at approx. 450 km i Comen mmer Since you could already think about buying a polo or something so the smart is a pretty swallowing woodpecker!

Water in the SMART again
Hi. After I sealed my two plastic windows in 42 with tesamoll and silicone and through the two windows no more wassewr penetrates into the interior, I had to find out that it is getting very wet again under the floor felt. And even at the driver’s side! Passenger side nothing and the battery compartment is also dry ( luckily ). Where does water enter now?

Smart sales
Hello! So selling a smart is more difficult than I thought. I don’t have an exaggerated price idea. Maybe it’s just because I live in the countryside. But there are also people who somehow don’t know what they want. For example, they ask for a power steering. Or you look at my car and then say you’ve seen a convertible. Besides, the people with a price idea go to the thing, you can only wonder. I might do it that way, but then I think mostly, let it be a bit shallower, that’s better for everyone involved. But as already described above, either I want a coupe or a convertible. This question should be solved first and then you should look around. If I am looking for a station wagon, then I don’t look at any soda. Let’s see, maybe it will work sometime. MfG Bertus
