Hello guys, I’m proud owner of a Smart 451 built in 2009 and I never have a little problem that I need a little help with. On the last TÜV visit a lot on the rear axle didn’t bring any braking effect, hand brake was ok. After I aired the rear brake line everything was ok again but only for a few days, after that the problem was there again. Also the replacement of the rear brakes did not bring any success. What could it be that I only enter the rear brake line air? I’m already looking forward to a few suggestions for troubleshooting, Thanks already in advance

Smart Roadster 452: Measuring the temperature of the engine oil (experiment)
Hello, dear Roadster friends, Some time ago I announced elsewhere in the forum that I would construct and install a floor pan for the open engine compartment of the Roadster. Similar to what is common in the automotive industry toootaaal nowadays. Even at Daimler. Purpose: dirt protection, rust protection, power line, fuel saving etc.pp. Maybe another enthusiast has already started such a project? Then please let me know, thank you! In my insignificant knowledge, the Mercedes-Obrists have pushed our Nicolas Hayek out of the Fima, with the typical sub-layer argument, the car is finished – NOW is sold! The Brave would never have agreed to let go of a car that is unfinished in important respects! Not even for later retrofitting they have tried…. :/ The engineers had in fact everything in planning and preparation, as one sees when looking at the car bodies.

Diagnosis tool Key learning 450 Bj 2004
Hello, someone might have a clue which diagnostic device (Amazon, Kaufland, etc.) is naturally able to learn from my 450 Bj keys. Is there something like that? Can this be one of the launch devices from 750 Euro where “Immo Keys” is advertised everywhere, but unfortunately only Merzedes and not Smart is supported? Delphi with laptop and additional hardware is actually too complex to work in. Would you like to just buy, connect, works Thanks for the tips Juergen

Smart 451 strange squeaking while driving slowly.Brem drum rear right significantly hotter
Only after a month I notice that it is not the others, but my 451 year 2007 Smart. It squeaks somewhere(not always) while driving slower in the zb.1 course. Of course, I first thought about the brake drums in the back as the previous owner gave me this new at the sale.It just provoked the noise again and when I squeaked at 10km/h and pull the hand brake a few times then it slightly changes the noise. Just got out and fingers to the rims in the back. Left was not even lukewarm and right already very warm, the brake drum itself should be hot. Must be clear, or? because the engine is running the heat out somewhere right brake drum, which I don’t believe. What do you think?
