Since I have my Smart Pulse new, I don’t have any winter tires yet. My intention is to pull the winter tires onto the existing original Pulse rims and then buy me new chic aluminium rims for the summer tires in the next summer season. Size and dimension of the new rims should not change, because I want to put the “old” summer tires back on it. With Pulse there are 15 ́ rims with 175 front and 195 rear. Do you have suggestions for chic aluminium wheels (best with picture) that fit my black Smart!?

Hello, the new (high-turning) 5-speed transmission of the current Smart is really not the hit! Especially if you know the old sprite-saving and low-speed 6-speed transmission by 2005… Are there any indications that the new 5-speed transmission is being revised by Smart (one gear more or the fifth gear is being designed longer)? If no, what would it cost to change the 5th gear of the current transmission for a longer (speed-lowering) transmission? Who offers such a thing??

We want to buy a new Smart on Monday (451). Therefore I have a few questions: 1. How is the new Cabrio roof? Is it about the material and the technology like the old one or has it done something? The reason for my question: we have the 450 as a convertible and with the roof a lot of trouble: At first it was leaking, now it is dense but it whistles from 80 km/h extremely loud. Besides, it smells enormous with sun exposure. 2. How about the power steering? In the current Smart we don’t have one, that’s right. But the new Smart has instead of 135 tyres at the front 155er. There should be a servo (we drive a lot of city and use narrow parking gaps) after all, or? 3. Does MHD make sense? 4. What should you do not miss out on? We definitely want the Passion. 5. In my opinion, the 451 with 71 hp goes worse than our 450er with 61 hp. Should you take the 451 with 84 hp? However, then the consumption goes probably towards 8 liters… Many thanks in advance for your answers!

Hello, I am here for the first time and hope for help. Drive a Smat fortwo and for some time now a noise appears, not always, but only when rolling out the vehicle when it shuts down itself. At about 30km/h in the 3 gears the noise starts and stops in the 2 gears again. If you leave the foot slightly on the brake pedal the noise is transmitted. Was already three times in the workshop. Demonstration effect stayed out, then a luck, you could hear it, tip unbalanced the brake discs. Could still drive with it. Second attempt. When changing the bike from winter to summer, the brake disc showed glowing. Topic noise addressed, brake discs and laid down were changed. Full hope go, noise still there. Test drive, demonstration effect noise remained out. Quarter-hour before it was still there. Tip from the factory master gear. What now do ???? For a tip I would be grateful. 59hollywood

Was actually looking for a petrol engine, but now I have a very good offer for a diesel engine in my hands. BJ2002, 30Tkm, good equipment for 4,500€. Did I actually find it quite interesting. But now I have the one or the other question about the diesel engine: 1. What does the diesel engine (800ccm) look like with the durability? Is it as vulnerable as the petrol engine? 2. Is there a revised version like the diesel engine from BJ 03? Have been googled some time, but the results of my search are not really satisfying. Hello, I bought a Smart 451 in June this year and am thinking about whether I should go to a customer service for oil change this year. The last customer service was in May 2016. Since then, however, only 3000 km were driven by the car. What would you do or can I do something if I only do the customer service in April / May next year. Hello to all, I have the following problem with my Smart 450 year of construction 2006. In the gears 1-3 a heavy jerk is pressed at full throttle only with accelerator pedals full. With careful operation of the pedal no problems. In the gears 4-6 I have then with full throttle thrust-wise acceleration. As if the turbo times starts and sometimes not. Now the strange thing comes back when I slowly with the gas pedal comes back at some point a point where he pulls through fully when I leave the accelerator pedal on this position he pulls as he should also after gear change but I have to keep exactly the gas pedal position otherwise the whole from the front again. That was already carried out/checked: All spark plugs new all 6 images/forum/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif of course. Wastegate and pressure can tested rods was a bit fixed then they got cleaned up again but still works out of it a little quiet running. Last week I had a small crash but at least before then the memory was read out without having to use this problem. Nevertheless, the same problem still remains quiet again.
