Hello, I had a driving accident (self-inflicted) almost 2 weeks ago or drove up a bus with a final speed of approx. 30 km/h. Now my car is no longer ready to drive. (see photos) Now I had written to a workshop, transmitted the respective pictures and asked for an approximate price range. These told me that I had to reckon with about 300-400 € for the working time and another 300-500 € for the entire front. I would have to purchase the front myself from a scrap dealer/car user, (unmounted?! – I would have thought now) and pick up. My question would now be whether this assessment is realistic at all and if I didn’t end up at 1,500 €+. Does someone have experience and can give me his personal assessment? Does that make any sense at all with such a car? Note: There are no liquids out, the doors are not bent and the right headlight is still completely in order. -> Smart-FourFour, almost 20 years old and <150,000 km -> On-market places are traded under 500-2,000 km and the equipment segment.

Cheap solution for a hands-free device for the Smart 451?
hello I’m usually in the Honda forum. Since we are allowed to call a new Smart Brabus exclusive our own since Saturday, I will probably also occasionally add my mustard here 🙂 On our Brabus the Radio 9 with sound system is installed. Now I want to install a Parrot MKI 9200 hands-free device with iPod connection. I have already found various PIN-legs of the ISO plugs and their peculiarities with the search function. However, information about the Mute connection is missing. Can anyone help me here? Gruss, hoele [Transferred from motor talk from the topic ‘Mute connection Radio 9’.]

Questions from a roadster friend 🙂
Hello together, after a long time we (my wife and I) decided to get a roadie. However, I have rather little experience with Smart (except for a few weekend tours). I drove a Roadster Coupe before YEAR. Has been great fun, with the exception of the switch breaks. Now I have a few questions! – From which mileage would you rather advise? – Are there significant running performance with your usually what is due? (toothing/ Turborevision/Actuator/ Gearbox)? – Are there years of construction with certain children’s diseases or particularly recommended model years? – Can you do something at the switch break? I have read about actuator tuning. Is this recommended? – How would you describe the everyday suitability and also the winter suitability? It depends a bit on the offer whether it will be a Roadster or a Roadster Coupe. However, it should certainly become an 82hp model (Brabus rather too expensive). – How would you describe the everyday suitability and also the winter suitability of the 82hp more seriously? Or is that rather to enjoy it with caution?

Hole grating in the exhaust ???
Hey guys, so have (had) in my exhaust hole grating. Pretty tough the material, whatever it might be, stainless steel probably. Drilling holes had in the beginning 4 or 4.5 he diameters. Then, because the sense behind lattice in the exhaust did not open up to me, first drilled on 5, then on 6 and then with a seperate step cut through the bridges and have only a small edge stand. Had the material presented to me less unruly, but with dremel and corund attachment I WANT to the rest of the back, but in vain. Someone have an idea what to look for in the exhaust ? Just optical thing maybe ?? Or an idea what to do with the rest. Does a tungsten carbide cutter help there perhaps ? Mfg

new smart br 451 needs winter tires fit old?
hello together, I’ll get back. I have a problem. I would like to get winter tyres for my new smart. but since I have only one year car myself, should it be so expensive, because I don’t know if I will take my smart again next year… what can you do here? fit the old rims/WR of the old smarts? or there are adapter discs so that you can make them suitable? I remember that you don’t have a duty to do, but if you drive over the Christmas days in the Hunsrück, you should have some. especially since it’s a company car. don’t want to get me annoyed. so girls, what do? grußle alex

Brakes in front grind a little…
Hello Together, have a Smart 451 Fortwo BJ. 2012 with 48 tkm. I noticed a short time ago that the brakes are a bit grinding and give a metallic sound while driving slowly. I noticed when changing tyres when I turned the wheel by hand. Since then I ask myself if this is so normal? The wheels can be rotated with the hand but a small resistance is noticeably more times less when turning. At the TÜV 6 months ago no abnormalities had occurred. Brake fluid was made recently at ATU. The old brake fluid was pressed through on all 4 wheels. With two videos… Is the disc and surface still in order? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSS6gHnxkjshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBreHeFaUpc

Totally insecure
Hello, I’m new here and I’m a little flattered. I actually wanted to buy a smart but after reading here, I’m totally unsure if this is a good decision. This is about so many problems. Is the smart really so bad or does it just make the concentrated impression. I wanted to take one from 2006. Be so good and clear up. Would I regret my decision for a smart? Greeting basima

Such a ridiculous FACELIFT…!
Hello together, to speak with this upcoming model maintenance of “Facelift” is probably a joke of Daimler AG…! Besides a few ridiculous day running light LEDs, which then also prevent the presence of far more important fog lights, they have not changed anything at the vehicle front! And for the CDI version there should be no cruiser!??? That makes sense! For a gasoline driver in urban traffic there is a cruiser and for the long-distance use of a CDI there should be no one…! So, the big throw will certainly not! bye then Nico

Want to buy Smart , price 8200 euros ok? What to note? Costs? Help!
Hello guys I would like to buy a Smart ForTwo for my wife. It’s year 1/2009, has run 71 hp and 11000km. Panorama roof, Softtouch, ZV. Original CD/Radio, Aluminium rims, Gasoline He also has a Multi Hybrid, one can hopefully switch off, would be annoying when parking… Have 2 factory members driven each 1 year. Cost should he 8200 euros. Is that ok? What does a Smart in tax and insurance cost a year? What do I have to pay attention if I look at it? Are there known flaws? So it is the pure model without a speedometer and watch 🙁 Which tyre size is this? Would 4 winter complete wheels still need. Can I buy these with each tire discount? What favorable aluminum wheels go? How does the Smart drive in winter? Thanks for help Thomas

Heiko190E’s Smart in Winter — with best experiences!!
Moin Smarties, actually wanted to write nothing more on the subject but since from some corners again and again on the small around is hacked here times my experience with the For2 from the deep snowy Sauerland.. Snow So I have to admit according to the reports I have read after the purchase of the Smart I tried to sell the thing again before winter but since we hang on to him and anyway drift artists are thanks to the good 190 are I thought: Collect your own experiences… That was good so!! because the Smart – even the without ESP- masters the winter excellent, also with the Hancook winter tires I am very happy, as the itself on slopes through the snow is really impressive, Ford Ka and Co are standing down.. HeikosSmart is up at the top at first was always pulled over the small because of dangerous winter characteristics, but nu’s quiet in the neighborhood since nevertheless some to walk up the mountain must be seen and above the “small” stand so, still what to the winter road, also there he certainly does not wear man woman too fast over the winter, too good to practice Overthy have made some good luck!
