  • Brake discs down after 26,000km???

Moin, I drive a 2017 convertible, 90 hp. When changing the winter tyres, I noticed that the brake discs are completely worn out. How can this be after 26,000 km? I feel hummed, because I bought the car with 20500km and there was a workshop service just before the purchase. The seller told me: “If you pick up your smart from us, then you don’t need the next 20,000 km to service”. Now I drove 5500 km in 10 months and already have to brake new 🙁

  • Can throw the money away, too

Hey, in February 2018 I took over a used fortwo 453 from 01/2017 71hp, before delivery the service A was carried out at the time 2400Km. This received in June 2018 a new steering and an engine-date on warranty. The smart warranty ended on 01/2019 from then there is the warranty extension of the car-guarantee until 01/2020. To maintain this warranty the car-guarantee requires the annual service. As a trained car-ler I take over all the necessary work on our vehicles He currently has 6800km on the clock. Now, interior filters, engine air filters and engine oil would have to be changed, which could be done easily by himself. I received the cheapest service price from a small workshop with 189 € for the so-called Service B. Now please tell me what is really done for this money, which works have to be done at this mileage absolutely ?? Have already done is thinking about doing this myself and letting it happen, or is that not recommended from your point of view? By the end of the year I will perhaps drive 1500km, what serious damage could be expected by then, where are the weak points that I absolutely have to consider? Would be grateful for your advice.

  • Young used ones comparatively expensive?

Hello together, because of interest I was interested in the ca prices of young used Smart – and find this expensive! My current Coupe is a 451 84ps Passion from 2013. Very good equipment with not all but many extras (list new price were about 18,000eur). Purchased at Mercedes, was at that time just over 3 years approved, 33tkm driven and cost 7800eur incl 1 year warranty. I would see the 453 90ps twinamic as the corresponding successor from the current series. W If I’m looking for cars from 2015-2016 with 25-40tkm, the offers are from 8800-12000eur. Apart from Coupe and Automatik, there are not even further restrictions (equipment). Even if I got my 451 cheaply, and in 2016 also the 453 was already on the market, I find the quoted prices already expensive, even inflation adjusted. I would be interested whether you share the impression or how you feel about it?
