    I would like to inform you very briefly that I have not been a moderator in the Volvoforum for a few days now. My farewell is at my own request and is primarily due to a lack of time.   • Car accident with Volvo in the Gotthard Tunnel

    Again a fatal car accident occurred in the Gotthard tunnel. A Volvo PW crashed frontally into a truck with 80 km/h! The following are probably clear to everyone. How can / must the safety in such tunnels be improved? – 2nd tube – thus no oncoming traffic. – middle guide plank (no idea if technically feasible) – traffic flow alternately North/South Gruss Stephan (a little murky in such long tunnels) PS have the pictures of the accident volvos – should I stop or find this here The tasteless?

  • ADAC or DAS? Wanted opinions and experiences…

    Good morning! Since in a few weeks the spare wheel of my V70 has to give way to a gas tank, I think now about the membership of the ADAC after, makes the tyre change difficult, if you have no spare tire. In the course of the change of my new elk my insurance man then suggested to me the DAS, especially since that is also cheaper and so. Well, should in fact cost rich 3 eur less (41.00 annually against 44.00 at the ADAC), so that the price can not be a criterion for me. Woh l but your experiences! What would you advise me to do?   • Insurance shock

    in my anticipation, for the hopefully next week arriving race, I have requested a double card with the volvoversicherung(basler). by the way, I asked for the tariffs for the new one and let me make a new offer, now the shock:58% more expensive than the previous!!!!!!!!! the reasons, some clauses have changed, e.g. company vehicle insurance can no longer be restricted to certain persons, which in my case unfortunately to the more up d. now concrete, so far 620 € at tk150/vk500 both sf19(30%) new 979 € tk150/vk500 both sf19 now but 35%! on my question about the private tariff with restricted user circle, only 606 €.   • Help, no Volvo workshop knows more

    I have a 850 Volvo, 157t k, BJ 93 and for 1 year a problem that has not been able to fix a contract workshop, it is getting worse and worse. The engine does not take the gas properly when accelerating in the speed range 2-3000, the vehicle jerks. from 3.5 4000 revolutions it actually goes through again quite quickly. Top speed is only 160 kmh When I stand in the traffic jam or otherwise like stop + go the engine goes out and then does not bring any Leistu at all. This happened to me the other day in front of a parking garage, when I was finally inside, I almost didn’t get up the small slope to the next parking deck. Spark plugs, ignition cap, ignition coil, engine control, thermostat, bezin pump, Lamba probe, air mass meters have already been tested and exchanged. All cylinders were measured and found to be good. Oh, well, I have to mention that everything gets worse at high outdoor temperatures and full tank. I am really grateful for every tip Eva

  • D5 – really so great

    Hello municipality, I’ve had my D5 for a good month and am “satisfied” at the most. I have heard and read so much good, maybe the expectations were too high. My A4 Avant, 1.9 TDI (without pump nozzle) had the same driving performance at about 1-1.5l lower consumption and admittedly lower weight. My C70 2.5T was much more elastic, I don’t need to talk about the driving performance and the extra consumption of 1.5l/100km could also be accepted; that all rdings with the same weight. I only drove 4000km, maybe something is still happening, but when I step on the gas in the 4th gear at 2000 rpm I expect a 5-cylinder with such enormous torque much more.   • D5 – Resonances

    Hello together, during my last visit to the workshop I called for drones or resonances in the range 2600 – 2800 rpm. I noticed this especially when driving at 140 km/h, because then the engine touches this Drrehnumber range. I know another D5 driver (also XC70) who has this problem. My workshop also noticed the resonances (should be area exhaust gas), but could not circle the error so far because of lack of documentation. But wants to make an effort for information. experience my question: does someone know the problem and has it been solved in the affirmative and how ? For answers already before thank you
