Hello together, drive since about 8 months. a black-metallic-colored S 60 D5. Have the special problem that some of the neighbors indulge in pigeon sport. Did recently more often notice that even short-term adherent feces of the possible animals lead to only hard to remove residues on the paint. Has the paint used today (due to environmental protection etc.) really become so sensitive?? Does anyone have tips on how to eliminate such residues permanently leave it?? mfg Werner

The auto Chancellor has spoken
Berlin (dpa) – Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder (SPD) has rejected demands from the coalition for an increase in the tax on diesel fuel. “This debate is causing me displeasure”, said Schröder on Monday before consultations of the SPD summit in Berlin. The Federal Government does not intend to “change anything” in the diesel taxation. The German automotive industry is currently not in a position “as I wish it to be”. It is important now, “for the consumer peace and trust” The current debate “does not reflect the position of the Federal Government”. But the people had only taken up the recommendation of the EU. Let’s see what will happen. I believe that the last word has not yet been spoken. Has the Hans not snuppered something there? must have been like oil on his prayer mills, the proposal with the 6 billion special income Tach also UFrank

Who saw “in china do you eat dogs”?
the screenshot in the attachment comes from a film scene in which (large) a driver is first convinced to make a daring ride in the safe volvo of »armor steel«, the small picture shows a part of the result – the car is completely too scrapped. I have not seen the film itself, but I have now had the decisive volvo scenes cut out… dear greetings, oli

Volvo soon Chinese?
Ford to hold talks on the sale of Volvo New York (BoerseGo.de) – The second largest US automobile manufacturer Ford Motor Co. is trying to avert the need for state aid through the sale of the Volvo brand to Chinese industry colleague Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. This was reported by the news agency Bloomberg, citing circles. Ford and Geely Automobile had led for preliminary talks. This amount was spent by the Americans in 1999 on the acquisition of Volvo. Ford also approached the other Chinese coalfield colleagues Chery Automobile Co. and Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. because of a sale. For the car manufacturer based in Dearborn, the situation has deteriorated significantly after a record loss of 16.4 billion dollars in the previous year and a fall in car sales in the USA to the lowest level in almost 27 years. General Motors and Chrysler to survive government emergency loans required Ford to avert such a necessity through brand sales.- (© BörseGo AG 2007 – http://www.boerse-go.de, author: Huber Christoph, editor) Message from 05.01.2009 – 08:37h lg, Joe

The target group of Volvo
Who is the target group of Volvo? Here in the forum the opinion prevails, Cordsakko-bearing senior teachers and freelancers are the typical Volvo drivers. Apparently Volvo now wants something away from this image and advertises new target groups. Foresters, winegrowers and veterinarians… to such a profession I believe nobody has known here yet. Greetings, Olli

Frust with Volvo workshop
On the occasion I join this thread from my own experience. I am so frustrated that I will avoid the local NL in the future. Between these two invoices there are just under 18tkm, 2J. & 12T. and 31€ price difference with the same order and effort and the bad hospitality is also not to be surpassed. 47687km/28.12.06 65288/09.01.09 Impertinence No.1 is the trader’s expensive oil price at that time, although the crude oil price in December 06 was about 62€/barrell and in January 09 is about 43€/barrell. As long as it was about the payment of the invoice, the customer service manager was friendly, after which I got into the car and saw that the service ad was not reset. I went back to the AH to the customer service manager and without having mentioned a word, the Kdl spoke to me in the following words to “What’s there?” and that in a very unfriendly unwelcome tone that the language beat me for a few seconds. When I was able to talk again sa I asked him politely if they would reset it. Reluctantly they put the service display back and I finally got rid of it. At least the fitter was friendly who gave me my car back. As a comparison, I now also pull up the seat workshop. I am welcome even if my 2-car is older than the Volvo, I only buy parts and the Ibiza where I can find the car. Conclusion: AH S***** in BRB never again! I almost forgot to mention the oil change in 2009 was made at 65288km and now look at the Km-Stand of the bill. Too lazy to read the Km-Stand.

Car Picture Volvo Workshop Test 2009
Today I bought the car picture and want to briefly summarize the results of the test of Volvo workshops. The whole article was under the question “Is Volvo a premium brand?” (What else^^) At first it was determined that Volvo, just like Audi, provides its workshops with an inspection plan to be processed. Not so with Mercedes and BMW. Funny enough, this was done in one of the 8 randomly selected workshops but even The selected dealers were always in the brackets the overlooked errors of the 7+1 possible, as well as the overall opinion of Autobild, which consists of 70% work performance and 30% service. The best thing was to get rid of the car dealer Markötter in Bielefeld. Here, even the golden wrench would have been awarded if the tester had not been pointed out that the loss of cooling water is to be kept in mind in the future. The loser of the test is the factory. This is also the only workshop that did not comply with the Volvo inspection plan. The overall conclusion of Auto-Bild was that although the Volvo workshops had a better picture than all non-premium brands, the premium claim itself was only occasionally met. That is because, as can be seen, the good results are also very sneaky. quote car picture: For comparison the overall score and those of the other premium brands: Volvo: 2.9 – Audi: 2.5 – Mercedes: 1.9 – BMW: 1.9

Workshop test VOLVO
Hello, I regularly read all workshop tests of all car brands that appear in various car magazines. There are simple errors that every mechanic must find when working through the inspection plan. Almost always the result is not so much. Most of the time the inspection plan is checked, although work has not been done (which is more or less easy to check), e.g.: – Air pressure spare wheel has not been checked – Headlight setting is wrong – Light bulb Number plate lighting is defective – wiping water supplement was calculated, although the tank was brim full before the car was delivered – half a litre of engine oil is calculated more than fit into the engine at all – brake fluid was not refilled or refilled, but was not searched for the cause of tightness – wheel nuts were not tightened with the corresponding torque etc (are only examples) Do you have any doubts that the friendly of your trust there a Have you always had complete confidence in your workshop? Have there ever been tests from Volvo workshops? Why do I ask? Because I always have a good feeling at my dealer, how probably each of you. But nevertheless, one test for half of all workshops is negative (independent of the brand) and that’s how you think about it. A coffee and a washed car don’t say much about the work performance…. Ciao, Eric

Auto Motor Sport: VOLVO workshop test 2006
Hello, in the current issue of AutoMotorSport you have tested 8 Volvo-contract workshops (test vehicle was a V40) I hear now again some whining “should you publish this? – YES! May one! Because it is not a subjective opinion of an MT ́ler but a verifiable and documented test of a renowned car magazine! And this is how it looks summarized: -Autohaus Torsten Bloch, Reichenbach: recommended -Autocenter Koch, Berlin: recommended -Plütt Autowelt Bursche id: recommendable -Autohaus Lieber, Röhrsdorf : conditionally recommended -Nordland autodistribution Wuppertal: not recommended -Autowelt Lindenberg, Ahrensfelde: not recommended -Kroymans Autohaus München: not recommended -Auto Jung, Pfaffenhofen: not recommended Tested: -adjusted headlights -exposed tyre air pressure -brake line suspended -cool water loss -defected fog lamp -rotated belt, held away – wiper blade torn Is nevertheless g ar not so difficult, right??? And now? The compliance rate is just 65% on average above all workshops. There is probably still a lot to do with would-be premium manufacturer Volvo! Ciao, Eric
