Autogas at the V70 T5 – which system is recommended? After a few weeks of enthusiastic passive participation in the forum … . A warm “hello together” In the short time I learned more about “my” Volvos than my friend would have ever admitted to me. A great forum, and active participants on the same wavelength! Have also made a concrete request: The decision for the next V70 (T5) has been made, including decision for autogas. rt on ICOM and LPG injection, PRINS/Evaporator is crap, the other beats his hands over the head, brings nothing and much too unfinished. What experiences have you made, especially with ICOM/Liquid injection?

Volvo drivers are women’s understanders
While browsing the Audiforum, I noticed the following text: Quotation Beginning: I find that you have a real problem like me. I had my new A6 configured completely and was safe after a long search, that will be my new one. Until… Yes until my wife said that she finds the profoundly ugly. Everyone … would drive such an Audi. My explanations that the other people only drive A3 or A4 didn’t help. She simply doesn’t recognize the difference. With every A3 Sportback she says “Scho And now? Now I’m looking for X3 and 5. Although I find the A6 somehow more beautiful. Real crap with the chicks. Quotation end. Do we volvo drivers have this problem too?

Volvo delivers templates for fun car experiments 😉 Do you know more about it?
Hi together, what there are for (hopefully) involuntary and/or curious experiments with cars, we already have. Volvo itself informs me today post that they also do such experiments, they even find them so great, that they are distributed by letter (not even by e-mail!!) (for Volvo) to all Volvo customers [whether I should send the photos of my experiments?]. At XC-Fan such experiments are always well kept 😉 Well, what should I do? of course, you are now expecting my question about the procurement of this disc attachment. But I’m not going to make you happy now 😉 Should one of you come and assume that I’m doing wrong with my XC – then I’ll show you the Volvo picture collection here 😉 There were still more such tests of Volvo (not now the many, countless “normal” crash tests)? I remember the ancient experiment with the seat belt on which some cars hung. D Ann was still the tower from Volvos to show the roof stability. Did I forget something? Experimental greetings Torsten – the XC fan (and can do this with a nano-lacquer-sealed disc at all 😉

Power’s gone
Hello, my 460 Turbo makes again mucken: At lower speeds everything is relatively normal, but from 140 km/h the power is completely missing. The engine “capsulates” the power – you give full throttle, but nothing happens anymore (even switching back doesn’t bring anything). At the same time the engine jerks (as with ignition stops). From time to time it is also “first” at 160 km/h. Overall the engine runs extremely restless in the stand or even in idle mode. In addition, it smells, almost like when oil burns with it. could the problem be there? Did someone ever have a similar problem? Greetings, Anja

RTI TMC problems
Hello, now I have read all TMC-Postings here and unfortunately I am still not further … so I have to get it myself: Have a 99er RTI (CD-Version and TMC capable). Unfortunately, the good piece does not find a TMC-Sender. Have a second car with a Blaupunkt-Navi and that finds at the same location various transmitters. Various texts here speak of an extra antenna. Where can I find this and where is it connected to the Navi-Unit? I have another question: In the sky of my S80 I have such a cover plastic under which there is a cable with a green multi-pole plug. What else should you connect? Another antenna for ….. ? Thank you for your answers … Janos

That’s what they should dare to do with Audi.
Aaargh! I’m sorry for my short-term anger, but I’m starting to get fat, as the German automobile press is doing against imported manufacturers with constant subliminal stinging, especially when manufacturers are still delivering very good products (such as Volvo). Latest case: current ams (issue 12/03, page 92). Quotation “Finally, their [Swedish] reputation is already quite hollowed out when you look at it more closely. In my opinion, manufacturers such as Renault are in fact able to shift the image of the security image in my mind by strategically positioning (and timing with NCAP tests) of vehicles exclusively designed for European safety tests. Of course, for me, the effective safety elements in series vehicles also primarily count, but also It is not to be forgotten that new security concepts such as some of the ones installed in the SCC are being developed. Security research is only being promoted by such studies. And at this point, someone from ams would like to call me a similarly groundbreaking safety study like the SCC from a competing manufacturer over the past 2 years. Anyway, to get back to the title of this article, I doubt that the ams ever had such a safety study. It would publish a sentence about a brand like Audi, even if it would be as (un)appropriate as in this case with Volvo.

Everything – just not a Volvo!
The title of this thread is the only condition that is asked. If you hadn’t decided on a Volvo, which other brand, or which other model would have come into question for you. Or sometimes completely beyond your needs in terms of everyday suitability etc. and neglecting the financial possibilities: Which currently current models do you find interesting or attractive? With this discussion I just want to practice he sees the edge of the small and fine Volvo community. Have fun Jo

TMC in Austria
Hello people! Who of you has ever been shown TMC symbols in Austria on the Navi screen? The transmitter OE3 offers this traffic information service according to its own data in 4 federal states since autumn 2002. However, I could not receive a single signal until now, although there were enough traffic obstacles. Now I ask myself, what is the reason for this. In the workshop a filter was changed (???) and pointed out that OE3 deals quite sparingly with the TMC infos. L Last weekend I was in Italy and was able to receive 2 different TMC capable transmitters there, but no symbols can be found on the RTI. There should be at least one construction site at any time; I scrolled over Venice via Bologna to Milan. According to OE3 I allegedly did not have a CD/DVD with TMC code, but I exclude that, because my S60 is: KW 09 2003 (MJ 2003) RTI DVD Stand Wo35/2002 please for your help/opinion Werner

Is an AU harmful to the engine?
As soon as I have to take my car to HU/AU and every time I think about the procedure at AU, I would like to know how you see it. Most of us are probably rather anxious to avoid the red area of the tachometer, since one imagines that it simply cannot be healthy for the engine to cheer it up so much. However, at AU this is done. So, if it should not be harmful to the engine, then why should it be? extra a warning range on the speed scale?!?

Got a callback letter
Hello, today in my mail had a letter from Volvo Germany. This includes a recall for all vehicles with detachable ball head. With the explicit note: Please make sure that the trailer train with removable ball head is no longer used until the agreed workshop appointment! Since you did not know with me if I have mounted a trailer coupling, you sent it to me precautionally. This just for information. Greeting Volker
