Oh ever oh ever, today my buddy calls me. As a Volvofan I seduced him half a year ago to buy an XC90. For weeks he is already looking forward to his new bolids like a little child. Drives to the bridging old Astra and is finally happy when he has his new Volvo. As I said, the phone rings. “My Volvo is there,” he says. I am also looking forward to it! “But that wasn’t all,” he says, with a serious voice. In short: On Saturday his Ne delivered to the yard by the Volvo dealer. On the night from Sunday to Monday, 102!!!!! Volvos were flattened by unknowns. Scratched, tires pierced, etc. Of course, his was also there. And now we drive to the dealer in the morning and look at his new, broken moose. “Starts well”, he said at the end, because it is his first Volvo and otherwise almost only Mercer drove. I tell you, although not my Volvo, but also me ta The dealer was already hit for the second time. About 2 months ago, several Volvo bumpers, headlights, etc. were stolen from there. Comforted in a little bit here in the forum. I then print out the sides of it. Make it good, Shaolin priest P.S.: Writing mistakes you find, I give you =;o)

BMW 730i (BJ 1988) for sale, who can give tips?
Hello all, with us in the family the following problem arises: The grandmother of my wife died and left a BMW 730i, EZ 6/88 with 32,300 km (no typing mistake). Now the family council decided to sell the car. Various uncles with “exception” want still EURO 10,000,– for the car. I think for quite crazy (but don’t say that open). Does one of you have a tip on how to sell such a bargain fairly?? My advice to my parents-in-law was: Off into the garage with it, a few years wait until he is oldtimer. Or to the ADAC, have used car reviews made and then re-advised. Thank you very much for the numerous information. Greeting Stefan (who actually wanted to stay out of the topic)

Test drive in the car of the future
Hello, lately, there has been a lot of discussion here about what should be different with the next model and what additional functions there might be. Many individual points have been mentioned and discussed. There are design studies in the dozen. But what if you make the transition to the overall view? After all, not only a technical detail but sometimes also the overall behavior of the driver changes. Phone shifts the work into the car, the stability control leads to a I have tried to put together what a test drive could look like in the future and what is important to the driver. I have attached it as a TXT file so that it doesn’t need so much space. At least I hope that this works with the appendation ) Comments that are not interesting for the general public, flames etc please direct by PN. Le Rapace

your dream cars
volvo-drivers are generally considered a little more nuecher. I would guess that you don’t think about ferraris and porsches ONLY when it comes to your car wash. … and there are certainly not only ONE desired car or is this also subject to certain changes, depending on the personal situation, which also evolves in the course of time. in any case, I am concerned about reachable, perhaps already seriously fulfilled wish and not about any lambor ghinis. i present one: a peugeot 205 was my first real desire car for eternity, except of course from an all-time “driveable kfz on four wheels with at least one year tuev” right after the purchase of the lobe. when I finally had the 205, this big volvo combi was on my wish list at some point. at that time he was still called 850er. well, today I drive one of his successors, as you all know. on my wish list today is always on my wish list. no porsche and also no clk. well, not quite. a 30 year old 911er had already something. but with the oldtimers I would prefer a well-preserved 164er nevertheless. is simply more comfortable =;^) … and if the children are sometimes out of the house, then it may be a big volvo- or saab-cabrio, if necessary also one of audi. or but as a second car, next to the microbus of vw, which unfortunately will never exist, or the future v90, which we will hopefully give again soon d. na, let’s see what kind of car I’m going to come on tomorrow. … and you?

I came, I saw and I didn’t trust my eyes…
When I just brought the cat to football, I had to pass my regular tank (yes Oli… I’m making it hard for you). At first thought the ad was broken, but when I discovered another gas station even a cent more, I knew that this could not be a mistake. The current diesel price is now 1.22€. I thought I was hit by the blow. What are the reasons for this price this time? Perhaps the long weekend that some people use to drive away Does a major shareholder cough? Greetings Heiko (quietly scared and sour) PS: Super costs 1.39€ and Normal 1.37€

Motor brake with the Geartronic: between nice and unusable?
Hi together, after I not only became aware by the MT that most (not all!) Volvo GT drivers (sounds good, right? 😉 don’t use the beautiful GT at all, but let this expensively paid feature be gammeln in front of me – I wanted to devote myself (who also does not use the GT for manual switching) to a small additional feature of the GT (or any other automatic): the engine brake. Brake lining and disc cost money – the wear of the engine by motor brake In addition, you learn to drive more carefully, because the GT does not always work as a motor brake. It’s a lock installed (only in the D5 or do the petrol engines also?), which prevents the D5 from turning too high by switching it down too early. It’s embarrassing, if I actually need the motor brake very important, because the brake is down, I can’t use the engine brake either. I have to brake before I can then use the engine brake. Isn’t it a good idea, isn’t it? The only learning effect (as I have just written before) is that you learn to drive more forward-looking to use the engine brake (is not only a positive effect because of the fuel prices). Before I oli now with a further change of speed, I’ll be able to use the engine brake. age annoying: Who uses the engine brake constantly and routinely? Who doesn’t? And why? That’s why my summary: Motor brake in the D5 GT can only be used with very discreet driving – only when driving I can gently brake “normal” 😉 Your opinion? Good ride! Torsten – the XC fan (and sometimes needs a brake 😉

Controversy : VOLVO – outdated technique or back_to_the_roots !?
Greetings to all moose breeders, I have been rubbing my eyes in the last few days, when I read some Freds : Here 2 highlights : – The Swabbeltronikers are thrilled, because they can move your stone age swabbed mats with intermediate gas to the engine brake when switching down – in manual mode well noticed ….. I had my down turn with Zwischengas before – with unsynchronized gears. Whereby the sense of the automatic anyway is fluted, if only or often the manual G ace is used !? – Enthusiast storms over Parrot-Blue Tooth retrofits for mobile phone with separate speaker ….. Since I am more easily technical horror – these are technical solutions from 10 years ago – where remains the integration into the system, or the electr. side noise filter ? – Also the latest generation of RTI suffers from permanant transmitter forgetfulness, which also update-cilllin seemingly not cures No comment ……. to be continued ……. Additional prosthetics in Premiumelchen u and that as a “series” ?? time to think something … the eMkay thinks

Nederland=Volvoland???
I just returned from NL and have a direct question: Are the relative registration numbers for Volvos, especially for the V- and XC models in the Netherlands significantly higher than in D? I had spent my holiday on Terschelling and what I saw on the island at V’s and XC’s ‘run around ‘was already noticeable. Or did they all show up there just because this is an island that is very popular for family holidays, and such a moose a family nkutsche ist? Although I also had the impression of seeing relatively more elks in NL during the return journey. Greeting (Groetjes) DeWeDo – polylingual

Accident experiences Volvo …
Hi together, we always talk about the safe Sweden in this Volvo Forum. The motto “Volvo for live” is on my key chain. The Volvos are called Swedes Tanks. I have collected some great pictures of Volvo XC70 in special coatings (police, fire brigade, …) – but – someone has seen a wrecked Volvo? Please (!!) don’t misunderstand me now. I don’t want to see any accident photos with injured or even dead (which is why I drive (also w for my many kilometers) yes extra Volvo). Just for the sake of interest the desire to see how a Volvo (most of all of course a V70, XC70, …) looks like a crash test. What remains safe, what is not. How stable is the passenger cell really, … etc. Has someone even had an accident with his Volvo (and can report about it? with photo?) and can now swear thankingly on the Swedes plate – almost from experience. Us all (and also the others!) always good drive .-) Tscha u Torsten – the XC fan
