  • How a drunken ride can be worthwhile…

Quotation: Award – The former Council President of the Evangelical Church in Germany, Margot Käßmann, receives the European Culture Award for Civil Courage. As reported in advance by the news magazine “Der Spiegel” on Saturday, Käßmann will be awarded for her resignation after a drunken journey about a year ago. According to the information given by the Kulturstiftung Pro Europa, the prize will be awarded on 4 March in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt. Käßmann has become her personal friend. In February of last year Käßmann had been stopped with more than 1.5 promilles of alcohol in the blood at the wheel of her car. She had subsequently resigned from the Presidency and her position as Hanoverian bishop. I thought that was a joke, but unfortunately, it was not possible for me to say that I was aware of the responsibility and to draw the consequences, the “mirror” quoted from the jury’s explanatory statement. It’s the truth. Who the hell does such brain-burning bullshit come to mind? So long Ghost

  • Overtaking accident…

Hello, last night the following happened! So, my dad => at the wheel (including my mom and I) were in a Citroen C5 on the way to my brother, because it was already 18 o’clock, and therefore quite dark, my father could not see the driveway to the house of my brother (are 2 houses with the same driveway…) The house (my brother) is the second, because now my dad wanted to turn into the first driveway (still NOT a blinker) I told him immediately he should We were about 30km/h fast, when we wanted to turn at the right driveway (HABEN SICHER BLINKT) overtakes us at the moment a small Smart Roadster and crawls fully in front… (cot wing, bumper, steering bar over! > Front left) The Smart then it has thrown 2m further on a stone high, so about 300kg heavy stone from vertical, placed on horizontal and itself on top of it remained seated… (estimate the speed at 60km/h) The Smart -drivers now deny that it was his fault…! Police was suburban… Both cars had to be towed! Well, a question like that; how would you judge this situation? If I forgot to mention anything, please let me know.. mfg + thank you in advance…

  • Illuminated flashers

Hello. In movies from the USA you can often see that the turn signals also shine when the light is on. I have two questions: 1. How can you connect this so that the turn signals can turn on with the standlight, but still when the turn is still possible? 2. Actually this is not allowed, but I have read that light yellow fog lights are allowed, if they only go on together with the normal lighting and are not higher than the turn-off light. has a nice Tüv tester, who enters the luminous turn signals as light yellow fog lights, wouldn’t it be allowed?

  • Xenon=Blender!?

Hello together! Last night a car with probably xenon light was driven behind me. The lamps were so bright – my passenger could have read a book – that I could see in the cone of my headlights (H7 lamps) the shadow of my car. Besides, the lamps have blinded me extremely over the outside mirrors (interior mirror was already “turned”. When then another 7 BMW came towards me with Xenon, the blind flight was pre-programmed! Is it only the fact that the headlights are getting more and more “armed up”, or is it also because more and more drivers have adjusted their lamps and their lamps correctly?

  • Accident costs

Unfortunately, I looked too little in the rear mirror today while driving backwards and drove a 1 month old polo against the bumper. the is now in the license plate area and above and the paint is damaged, with me it’s only scratcher. can anyone tell me which approximate cost I can expect? so with regard to insurance around and around. this was my first time now, therefore please after the ask tails if necessary.

  • Behavior with possible uneconomic parking rempler repair of an old vehicle by the accident opponent?

Hello, now I have an accident handling question… yesterday morning I had a light parking rampler when I wanted to park in the station parking lot. Due to a mirror-smooth background the car absolutely did not react to the braking, absolutely no delay and so I unfortunately pushed with my bumper at the front left to a Ford Fiesta back right despite extremely much space. Streets were top, had thawed and therefore probably nobody expected I’m driving a bridge car until spring and can hurt that, have only a few straps and a slight dent. It’s a Ford Fiesta type GFJ, something around year 1990 – 1995. As far as I’ve seen that, the Ford also had small straps and a minimally pressed fender. Maybe there were still a few scratches below, unfortunately it was too dark. So – I left a note and left the accident for safety reasons. r reported to the police. I had initially hoped for the value and the general condition of the car it makes little sense to invest there still big and 100 – 200€ which I would push into his hand. After all, the car is to have for 200€ in Mobile. Unfortunately I got now today information from the car dealer that the holder plans a repair, estimate 700 – 800€.. Now on Monday will examine the car and the damage itself before there is something in it. and I report this to my car liability insurance. Under 500€ that makes hardly any sense to me? So, how should I behave now? Of course I am willing to pay for a damage caused by me, no issue at all.. only if all this costs twice or three times as much as the whole car is worth, I find that hardly reasonable..? Hope you can give me a sensible and reasonable advice.. thank you! Greetings, Sebastian

  • ADAC – normal or plus membership ?

If I would like to register in the ADAC, I think offers more than most protection letters. Which of the two would you choose? Drive about 10 tkm a year, mostly city, then follow highway and AB. Usually within a radius of 30 km, alone or for two. Almost exclusively domestic.

  • Trailer badly attached, accident – who is to blame

Hello, the following happened (me?): In front of my house is in a dead end my little trailer, there is about 3 m space to drive through. The last trailer had builders who drove in with the truck. Since the craftsmen felt disturbed by the trailer, they pushed the AH out of the dead end and about 50 m further to the car of another neighbor the trailer coupling of the trailer only slightly placed on the trailer coupling of the car. the car started and then after a few meters noticed that the (my) trailer was coming along. She scared and sharply braked, whereupon the trailer made itself independent and crashed against you and another car. Both vehicles are damaged. The neighbour thinks that I or my insurance (the trailer) must pay. That can not be true or? Dear greetings, Viviane

  • EC compliance certification obligation?

Hello together, an acquaintance of mine got into a traffic control of the police this morning. There was a request for the EC-conformity certificate. Since he could not present these, he had to pay an obulus of Euro 10. That is completely new to me. Is this right? I thought the vehicle license would suffice. Greeting H.F.

  • AB: Differences Switzerland / Germany

I am travelling a lot in Switzerland and in Germany. What is very surprising to me is that the Swiss are heavily motorized compared to Germans. I always thought that a speed limit on the AB would lead to less powerful cars being bought, but in Switzerland it is really the opposite. From my personal experience I would say that up to 90% of customers in Germany use the four-cylinder, in which Schw On average, I see more than 50% larger motorizations. Do you have an explanation for this?
