Hello! About 2 months ago I gave my used car in payment when buying a new car. The car was then probably forwarded by the dealer to another dealer (“purchaser” which has now obviously sold the car. The car given by me in payment (VW Golf IV) has been regularly maintained and has m. E. – I am not an “auto expert” – no obvious flaws, which I would have tacitly concealed. Now a letter of the new owner reached me, de The new owner has approached me with many questions. Little surprising he wants to have some information about the acquired vehicle, e.g. repairs carried out, defects that I have already noticed, there is allegedly a Macke on the rear bumper (of which I don’t know anything), alleged ambiguities with regard to the km stand at the timing belt change (this has been carried out in a VW specialist workshop; evidence is available). r uncertain how to react to this letter: On the one hand, I have nothing to blame myself for any hidden defects, on the other hand, I am very surprised that the new owner approaches me after (!) the purchase and wants further information. Therefore, my question: Can/May/Should I react to this letter – or can I possibly get into a situation in which I have to fear legal consequences? Of course, I know that I do not have a contract Westfalenblitz (Germany) and Westfalenblitz (Germany) have given the car – of course – in payment. Maybe you can give me “relevant” hints on how to react … Thank you and best regards Westfalenblitz

Perfectly explained – driving on the highway
Hello together, by chance I discover the following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVCQJJOyODI I’m really impressed. The driving style is practically identical to mine or I handle it that way. The motto is “give room” – give you space to each other. It shows you how it is not done and it shows you how to do it. I think it’s great! Just because someone has to drive over or should not necessarily close the gap. I hope it rings now at one or and DEPARTMENT!!! Greeting -dodo-

Safety of cruise control systems
Moin, based on the topic: http://www.motor-talk.de/forum/tempomat-bis-250-t4804397.html Let’s discuss the safety of these facilities here. Let’s do a few trick points: – modern cars switch off the cruiser as soon as an accident is detected by the airbag system or other sensors – retrofits or older systems are problematic. I don’t know what it looks like, for example, for Golf 3, whether the MSG shuts down the cruiser or even adopts a gas signal. if the airbag-Stg. reports an accident – faint drivers with foot on the gas tend to pass through the gas rather than slip off. At least I have already seen two accidents where the drivers passed out, gave full throttle and then were stopped by a wall or fence – driving a car remains a risk – in the question whether the cruise control should be limited one could also discuss a general limitation at once…

Dark season = Dark clothing?
Something that has occupied me for a long time: dark clothes in the dark. WHY? Every day I meet dark figures during my rides, or when I am travelling with my dog. There the pulse goes up when you suddenly stand in front of a big black dog with just as black master/wife. And I mean NOT the color of the skin! What is that supposed to mean? My loved one – she rides along with a colleague as a passenger – told me that she is almost a darkly dressed figure on the side of the road. Almost I would have been tempted to write: Too bad! Are people not aware for a second that they are virtually invisible to drivers? Especially today in rain and darkness and poor visibility it is even harder to recognize dark figures on the roadside. The school has started in NRW. What do I first encounter? Dark-dressed schoolchildren. HIMMEL parents! Don’t you have a sense of responsibility? Here the local station Erstkläsler equipped them with warning vests. And? At the latest in the next class, this “stupid” thing is no longer dressed and the kiddies are running around as if they had to disguise themselves. If something happens then … is of course the stupid driver’s fault. Should he be careful … And, no, I have no vision and I have often heard of drivers who have problems to recognize darkly dressed people early enough in the darkness. Is that so difficult to dress conspicuously so that, because of their own are people all tired of living??? Actually, the fashion designers would have to be sued because they spread black fashion. If you try to buy all serious something bright for outside, you will wonder how many dark garments are offered, 99%. Or are all gothic pendants? However, I totally fall away from the faith when those who complain about darkly dressed people even dressed darkly around ufen.

“Pay as you drive”
I have recently read the following article in the Tz, in which it is about the system: “pay as you drive”.KfZ insurances calculate the insurance contribution to be paid on the basis of the recorded driving profile.Find that the German insurers should use this system or stay with the previous system, which calculates the contribution from the damage-free class, type class, risk group and annual driving performance. n, for fogenden reasons: 1.)The actual frequency of accidents is included (freedom of damage class) 2.)Data protection 3.)Since “pay as you drive” creates even greater incentives to sneak/extremely defensively to push out even the last bit of discount. 4)If you are a frequent driver, this has a negative effect, which I have to say for the sake of fairness that this is similar to the current system. For the “pay as you drive” system, the aggressive driving behaviour is reduced. In the logistics industry, the technology is already in its infancy. What is your opinion about it, or does anyone have any further arguments that speak for or against the system? Greeting Meggi

Lights left on highway
Hello fans, my 120 km/h was shown at night on the BAB as above! Was overtaken by car on the left and then it flashed 2 times red in the height of the overtaking, who had to be faster than me! But: The red flashes came from the left, so from the direction of the middle guard plank??????? How does so and why? Has someone allowed himself a joke and flashed out of the car, because I drove the 120…? How does a speed camera get to this point in the traffic? Does anyone have an idea??? Thanks and Greetings, NT

Search for freely accessible asphalt track(s) all around Karlsruhe
Hello guys, I’m looking for a paved road where you can drive nicely (without or with little traffic). I’m thinking about drifts in rainy weather or something like this video. Of course, it should be as legal as possible. Is there a kind of register for such places? Maybe I’m just a little naive but I’m sure I’m not the first one to look for something like this. There’s probably some nice places. Does anyone have some tips? I find this a less interesting race track as it can be found in Hockenheim. It is too far away and requires too much planning (registration, etc.). LG Ric

Questions about trailer operations in Austria
Hello together, I regularly drive with a team consisting of towing vehicle and car transporter through Austria. The trailer has a permissible total weight of 2.7 tons. The towing vehicle has about 1.5 tons. We come with race car to a total weight of just under 3.5 tons. Now I was told that in a control the Austrian officials can use the actual payload of the trailer and theoretically demand that the trailer is decoupled and a suitable Is that really so? Secondly, I was told that if the car that is standing on the trailer with the rear over the edge of the trailer has to be placed a warning sign or something. Can anyone say something about it? Is that true? Google has not spit out anything useful about it.

parking in front of garage entrance
Hello , all troubled drivers Our ‘Youth’ lives in a house in the middle of a street (so on the right and left further building). The sidewalk in front of the garage entrance is naturally lowered. An acquaintance, who was to visit the house, and with permission parked on the street in front of the garage entrance, got a ‘bottle’, because there is just parking forbidden. Permit to or from. Prohibition remains ban! Who has already had such or similar experiences, and d, is it really true that, even with my son’s permission, I am not allowed to park before his driveway (of course without any kind of disability) or even before my own driveway, but still on the road? I’m curious about your opinion or even your experience

XXL – Parking in Airports Detach or Real Help
I just read something about XXL parking spaces in airports. I think that’s a good idea, finally more space to get in and out, but why does it have to cost again? After all, we’ve all already paid for our bigger cars – when buying. But if you can eliminate the doofen doors, I’d probably rather pay in the future. What do you think? Or chew a car with a sliding door. But who wants to be bomber with such a Pampas?
