Hello together. I hope I met the right area in the forum. Otherwise it had nowhere really fit in. I would like to know how high the towing costs in average so are after an accident. My car was towed about a month ago after an accident and since then stands at the tow truck on the yard and is to be picked up on Monday. Before I should pay the still open invoice. On the phone they told me first what from 500 to 600 € and then 10 minute n later they called me and said that they had just looked and I should bring 1000€ with me. On my tow tow towing after accident zone 1 was checked. In addition, rescue 45 min. And under the job is Bergen behind the guard plank With weight surcharge and that has not been made. Was also only a dare of the golf class. So simple car. In the office also a price table hung but unfortunately I did not remember it completely. allow to tow costs from 155€ and under storage I think there was 10€. But I can’t tell you exactly. Maybe another small night surcharge because it was around 6am. Maybe someone knows about the prices of towpers and can tell me how the prices are about? If there are large regional differences the use and storage location is in NRW.

Does the road traffic regulations apply in the car park and on the supermarket parking lot?
Hello Polofreunde, valid in a publicly accessible parking garage and on the supermarket parking lot the road traffic regulations ? I once heard that in parking garages and on supermarket parking places, because they are private, even if it says, “here the road traffic regulations apply”, this just does not apply. So I can not rely there on e.g. “right in front of left” and other rules of the road traffic regulations. Does anyone know that exactly ? Greetings Braver Polo

Blitzer Mistrigger?
Today (like every day since my work path) I passed a lightning column, which monitors 2 tracks. Tempomat stood on 82 and I was on the left track within an 80’s zone, I just overtook a Corsa which was probably traveling at less than 80 kmh, then strangely the speedometer triggered. Since it was a test drive (new car with just 70km on the clock) I worry now that I can’t make an objection there when a photo comes. a mistake can happen or did the cruiser go wrong? Do I have mail to expect? With my golf go with the speedometers also easy 85 according to the speedometer and I was already overtaken and it did not trigger with the overtaking.

Is there still a public parking space in D’land somewhere without oil stains?
Hello motor-talker, I was in a public car park, which fortunately was nicely empty, once again noticed that almost every parking space is oil-infected. Once you have been sensitized to the topic and look around at supermarket or other public parking areas, it is already shocking how little environmentally conscious many obviously behave. Even on relatively newly furnished parking areas there is actually not a single parking space after a few weeks A car doesn’t necessarily have to drive around with a licking engine, or is that completely impossible to avoid with older models? Instead of investing in a new seal, it seems that only oil is tipped over as needed. But there is no oil for free. I think the topic is already worth discussing, but it does not seem to have arrived in public at all. CO2 emissions, particulate matter and environmental zones, yes, these topics are important. However, the pollution caused by unnecessary creeping oil loss seems to be just like that. The parking space of a new tenant who recently moved into our residential complex with an admitted slightly older vehicle is unfortunately also mercilessly damaged by oil stains after a few weeks. How do you tell her that without being a merciless skewer? Oh yes, if the topic doesn’t fit right here, please postpone…

ASP-Seminar – Which points will be removed? The oldest ones?
Hi together, just got mail: 8 points accumulated… 2008: 3 points (too fast) 2009: 1 point (too fast) 2009: 3 points (too fast) 2011: 1 point (too fast) I could now reduce by the ASP 4 points. In 2013 the 3 points from 2008 would fall anyway. Which points exactly will be redeemed? The oldest ones? Or asked differently – if I do the 300 Euro expensive (!) seminar, will next year in 2013 the 3 points from 2008 still be redeemed? If no, makes little sense, the decay v on 3 points by 300 Euro only one year to be preferred… I drive quite a lot, the “1 points” were simply too fast, I admit, in the 3s it was 1x extremely unfortunate 50s zone highway and 80 or so and I don’t remember the other 3s at all… Thank you!

How do you operate the clutch?
Hello guys, I’m new here but I’ve already been following some topics in this forum. Now I have a question and I’m registered, I’m not sure if this is the right category. Question: How do you let the clutch come? I always leave my hack on the floor and “gile” almost over the pedal but that’s sometimes extremely impractical, especially if you have to start constantly (e.g. traffic jam). But if I leave the foot completely on the pedal and then virtually pull my leg back ( In order to let the clutch come) I have hardly any feeling and the start-up is therefore also very unclean. Do I do this right? In the driving school this was never explained/shown and I have always done this and with it no problems, can not run off the engine completely normally and if it has to be I can also start fast enough and so on. But it is just annoying if you have to drive constantly because you are in a traffic jam. Then have to “position” my foot again and again. That’s why I have my doubts as to which method is the right one. How do you do it? AmIdoinitrite?

He who honks is wrong
Perhaps others have noticed it, but the importance of the horn has changed over the decades from the danger signal to the moron alarm. Three examples of today: 1. I drive through a narrow spot, at which the front direction was reversed a few months ago, in a privileged direction. To me comes a horny car, which forces me to an emergency braking. 2. I drive on a red-pointed traffic light with static green arrow and hold before driving through correctly I stop for traffic and leave room in front of me, so that a vehicle can drive from a side street to the free left turning lane. Here the honking idiot comes roaring over the barrier area from behind. And these are by far no isolated cases. With experiences from the past days I could extend this list almost as desired. On the other hand, I am as good as not using horns in a meaningful way. Although I’ve been paying attention to this for some time, drivers only use their horn to alert others to their own misconduct. I think the industry should react to this and pair the horn with the braking system in such a way that their operation simultaneously triggers full braking to a standstill. This would certainly be the case with the current use of the horn as an assistance function in order to relieve the driver. This function would not interfere with the remaining use of the horn.

in the first-aid kit buy new…
Yesterday I wanted to buy a new first-aid kit with a very large and well-known car accessories store, where also the warning triangle and warning vest is included. The set is not so expensive with approx.13-14 Euro, but here I noticed something. I took the first thing in front and looked at the expiration date, well I didn’t think anything special about it, was still ok until 12/2013. Since this set was not welded in, I asked my wife if she would lie deeper on the shelf. D The place on the shelf was at the bottom and since I have a problem with one leg and can’t bend so far down, my wife should look. There was only another package here that was welded in but. Here I said, take this because it’s still welded in and you don’t know if someone else has already taken something out. There I also looked at the expiry date and here was 12/2016, so the expiry date was longer. And I was then also clear here, the other set was not without reason directly at hand and this so deep in the shelf not immediately visible. So pay attention to this date when buying and also look at the other sets. Greetings Gero

XXL Parking Curse or Blessing?
In the current car picture, the last page reports about XXL parking spaces. We also have a parking space for extra wide cars here in HH. I find it a mess, why a special treatment? I am even in favour that the boxes (Suv/Van) should be banished from parking garages. Everything that is over 4.50 long and 2 meters wide does not belong in parking garages, certainly not in inner cities.

Autobahn-Stau — no toilet — what to do? — Here’s a tip!
Have you experienced this before, urination on the highway in traffic jam and no toilet far and wide? In this case (only for men) I have a small, old warm bottle of rubber lying under the driver’s seat. My wife kept it; once belonged to the children. In it you can easily drain water. Volume of the bottle is 800 ml. That should be enough for the first. Close with the screw cap. Then nothing runs out. Don’t fold, take hardly any space and i A friend of mine has an empty granini bottle in the car. What kind of practical ideas do you have? We used to have a VW Multivan. There was always a small 5 liter bucket in it for emergencies. Women could use it. (was also used when the AB toilets were very dirty at rest places) Greeting from the sailboat man
