Hello everyone gruss at all times. I would like to start a question that has been burning me for a long time on the occasion and regularly excites me again (at least a little). key word marketing athletes and performance promise from the manufacturers. I have a few examples. the Golf IV GTI in special edition (25 years GTI) engine 1.8 t with 180 ps, all kinds of snaps no man needs, one for a “compact athlete” weight of around 1400-1500 kg and rides the porsche gt 2 executable 996 , creates with standard chassis, and power (about 460 ps ) the same round times on the north loop as a tuner ( SHK ) specially prepared gt 2 ( 993 ) with class c chassis parts and 650 ps ??? the same gt 2 of techart getunt ( 996 ) with over 620 ps (techart indication ) drives with non-licensable chassis and exhaust only 6 sec faster ?? has porsche da a little cheated with the performance and left the testern a doped exemplar, the porsche customers do not reach with their cars the values measured by sport car, smells already or?? the m3 (e46) creates as replacement copyplate for a test suddenly not even the factory specification, the test copy was frisier at the first test. and there are still more empty promises (usage, topspeed ….) writes times what you think about it and whether you have noticed other things, or have made experiences with it yourself.

I would like to know whether domes in motor space always bring a stabilizing advantage!? I know that these seem true wonders in the c70 cabrio of volvo, but have already seen them in a number of other cars. at cabrio, the necessity of additional stability is clear to me, but honda civics? in golf? besides: what does that cost? above all: does any of you already have experience with domes? can you make the »self«? *lol* dear greeting, oli

==> Super sports car compared ! Is there an alternative to Lotus Super 7 ?
Hello, here’s a very interesting link for all those interested in super sports cars. With the link you can get directly to the track test with 185 different sports cars.http://www.track-challenge.com/main.asp?useframe=tracktest.asp If you click on the button in the middle, you can actually compare it. If you click on the red bar at the top, you can sort the lists according to the correspondingly clicked section. 0-100, 80-120 and small Hockenheim course of the HKT GTS, a super-seven replica with 220 Audi Turbo-PS leaves the most of the super-decent sports cars standing. 0 – 100 …. the HKT Seven tenth with 4.1 seconds 80 – 120 …. the HKT Seven twelfth with 3.5 seconds Small Hockenheim course …. the HKT Seven is Ninth with 1.13.20 min. ================================Now my question: is there a better and above all affordable super sports car except the Lotus Super-Seven replicas ?? The HKT costs by the way about 45.000 Euro, so only a fraction of the prices of the other super sports cars listed there !!!!! Many greetings Holger, also in the Seven on the road

Amazing… superficial?
Who sorts the contributions here according to the frequency of the answers, comes to an interesting realization: the places 2 and 3 occupy contributions, in which it is about the appearance of cars. This encounters me with a confusing question: “Why is so astonishingly only about the appearance of cars?”. Of course, it is also discussed about other things, of course. But is the relationship between external / internal values actually okay? I mean, what does one actually have from the car? It drives one from A to B, all things that the car does then, when we just notice NIX of its exterior, sit in it. The appearance of the car only comes to bear when we leave it! So, if we don’t need it right now! Interesting or? With people you say you should pay attention to the inner values. Nevertheless, we also look at the external values, is clear, an ugly woman / guy pulls a ni I mean, you’re going to go to 180°. I mean, you’re going to feel like popping. That also increases the feeling of life. What about cars? Do you also get the desire to drive the car when it looks great (or at least good)? Do you drive the car because it looks so good? Or do you drive it because you have to drive from A to B? Or because it’s like a beautiful person, you can’t leave your eyes behind. Do you want to drive a car? Do you want to impress others with the beautiful car? Do you want to show what you have conquered? No one wants to drive an ugly car, even if it drives well (except for financial reasons perhaps). Everyone wants a nice car, even if you don’t get anything at all, especially when you use the car. Everyone talks about the beauty and ugliness of cars. I also belong to it. Did we still have the sense of proportionality? Or is slowly running? Think first, then talk!

Diesel or gasoline?
Soon I am faced with the problem of having to buy a new (used) car. I have a few (brand-independent) questions: high-torque diesel or high-power petrol? Van, approx. 20,000km/year, caravan 1.7to, not for heating, just disengaged (max. 160-180km/h). We don’t need to discuss tax, insurance and maintenance costs here now, can be roughly flat-rate. But how are the different engines, if they have 200.000km down? My A– Omega now has 380,000km open clock, and if I move the right foot down, the 115 horses need a while to get into trot. A not small number of them have probably already been put into early retirement. The exhausted chassis still underscores the somewhat sluggish driving impression. Will the modern common-rail diesel after 200 mille still be persuaded to overtaking maneuvers to some extent? How sensitive is the modern engine technology of today? (Diesel) and Otto) I would be very grateful for long distance experiences or tips from professionals. Accident-free driving you all. Greetings Frank

Question regarding maintenance costs etc
Now I decided to buy a decent car for about 500€… Now I would only like to know how it is with the entertainment costs. 1. the consumption is very important. I will probably drive so 10,000km a year, because it is more worth a gasoline. Now is only the question how do I recognize the consumption of a used car? Normally the rule of thumb applies, the more horsepower and the higher the weight, the higher the consumption or? What should you do here? and from which horsepower number/weight etc. is the consumption at approx. 8 liters or below? Would you like to avoid driving a car with a consumption of more than 10 liters. 2. Taxes: What are the taxes calculated and what do I have to pay attention to? Diesel are more expensive than petrol, but I know so much about what points you have to pay attention to? Also the horsepower or the engine capacity or what else, have quite little idea of these things… Is there any side where I m 3. Insurance: Which cars are cheaper here and which ones are more expensive? The insurance (if it goes on my name) is already very expensive anyway (bin 19) and I would also like to know what you can save on and what that depends on 4. Propensity for repair and repair/replacement costs: Which brands are the cheapest and the risk of a repa? Questions about questions *gg* Hope me can help MfG Johannes

Help with the purchase/selection of used cars
Hi I hope I have chosen the right forum, there was unfortunately no general… I am now 19 and I am just finished with the school and want to buy now n car and am just working for it ^^ From the 1.9. then Zivi starts… But I have no idea what kind of car I should take and what to look for etc. I will not drive more than 1000km per month because of civil service etc… in time I will have about 400 € per month available, of which höc Is there no diesel or n petrol better? Actually, n petroler because at so few kilometers the cheaper diesel is not worth compared to the high taxes or? I write down some data on how the car should be, maybe someone can help me – should not cost more than 2000 euros – no high taxes – relatively low consumption (under 8l if possible) – at least be half tidy (look, condition etc) – not a be negligent for repairs – reliable Have looked around at mobile.de, but have no plan at all which model or which manufacturer I should take… I would have thought of VW, because the vehicles are usually quite robust, but I was told that the tax etc. are too expensive :/ oh yes, would not be bad if he had at least a few hp and pulls something *g* but that is probably not possible with the money so rather incidental would me over totwor MfG Johannes

“Turning cart different” or “The Car Rates Quiz Part 2”
Hello guys, as I see, you liked the opener thread! I also like it! Let’s turn the Spiess around: The openers want to polish up their dubious personality by the image of a very specific car, but which cars really fit to which personality? Who wants to do the slightly different Auto-Rate Quiz? I’m going to start with: Which car do you fit this psychogram: Male, 37, double family father, chronic spelling weakness, fußba llgeistert (currently oriented towards the end of the table), pacifist basic attitude (“Make Love, not War” or “Poppen statt Kloppen”, former civil servant in the retirement home, birch stock shoes and terraced house, 2 Yorkshire terriers, convinced of the eco tax, red party book, but green on the ballot sheet, union member, open-air camper with nail in the tent for hanging the Pirelli calendar, can not program his own video recorder, uses neither horn nor light hoop, musi The Dire Straights may have stopped in the 80’s, but can’t write this, wants to boycott the BILD newspaper in the future because of undifferentiated feces journalism (precisely because they don’t like the Schröder and the Trittin), chronically broke, but regularly new cars, since he leases everything in his life, even Perry Rhodan and Ernest Hemmingway, motto: The last shirt has no pockets! The first one, who calls the manufacturer and model right, can set the next task! L os we’re doing it

Everything just not boring!!!
I don’t understand why many people buy a new, expensive partly bad car. Then the eternity must pay the bank installments, and can not even sleep because of loud fear for their not yet paid car. So honestly as long as I can pay myself an overpriced Bmw…not from the postage box I let it stay! For that I prefer to buy an old, great car with corners and knew. That has character and you can also fall on by the way, if you want. Don’t get that soo many golfs and small cars driving through the other side. They hang out so much to my neck!! This shouldn’t be a VW attack, I just don’t like VW. They just build overpriced cars that all have no face.(why are so many tuned vws) Every VW looks like a passat and that’s already since human memory. Motto: rather not stand out at all than negative, or what? Of course there are cars since I think it’s what? But at least they look like something!! Koreans also make boring cars. Ok, many people have to pay attention to the costs rationally when buying a car. But I don’t think almost all new cars have any character. I haven’t seen a new car for a very long time where I would say, whow that’s crazy. At that time cars weren’t perfect yet, you had to look for yourself when you had to change oil… No electronics for that, and you could make yourself at the car. For the money I get a De Tomaso, Dodge Challener… Well, I don’t drive a dream car either, but one had to come here and soon is the anyways and then comes the next, and the next…
