  • COLOURS – metallic or not ?

What I’ve always been… but never dared to ask… that’s how Woody Allen could start. So: I’m talking about car paint, more simply: about the COLOUR. I personally hate all metallic colors. Silver alone would still be tolerant and even fits very well with some cars, but I find this cursed mixture of washed out to exotic shades with shiny metal aspect disgusting. I am looking for the classic, normal, good, old colors. From the time when a black was still a black and a green a racing-car-green. Who feels similar or how do you see the ? asks Doc B

  • CAR CHECK 2003 – Mercedes crashes, Japanese again in front!

Also this should be interesting again: The (not surprising) results of the “CAR CHECK 2003” customer satisfaction survey! -absolute winner: Lexus IS 200 (229.5 points) -absolute loser: MB V-Class (22.9 points….!!!!!) (NO write error!) By the way, the rankings, especially for Mercedes and VW models, are almost exactly the same as the results of the JD POWER studies! -MB A-Class in the compact third-last rank (86.2 points) , average value 105,3 points -MB M-Class in the off-road vehicles second to last rank (80.9 pt.), average value 105.1 pt. -MB V-Class in the vans last rank (22.9 pt.), average value 94.3 pt. e.g. middle class: MB C-Class (120.7 pt.) , average value 126.1 pt. 1. Lexus IS 200 (229.5 pt.!) 2. Mazda 6 (195.9 pt.) 3. Honda Accord (180.9 pt.) 4. Toyota Avensis (157.3 pt.) 5. BMW 3er Compact (153, 3 pt.) 6. Subaru Legacy (149.4 pt.) 7. Mazda 626 (145.2 pt.) 8. BMW 3er Lim. (142, 3 pt.) 9. Lancia Lybra (134,6 pt.) 10. Audi A4 (134.0 pt.) TOTAL TRANSFER LIST: 1. Lexus IS 200 2. Mazda 6 3. Honda Accord 4. Skoda Superb 5. Toyota Celica 6. Honda Jazz 7. Nissan X-trail 8. BMW 7er (old) 9. Toyota Avensis 10. Toyota Yaris 11. Audi TT 12. Audi A8 13. BMW X5 14. BMW 3er Comp. 15. Porsche 911 MARKENRANGLISTE: (in brackets Rank 2000/ change to 2000) 1. Lexus (1.) 2. Porsche (2.) 3. Honda (17./+14) 4. BMW (3./ -1) 5. Mazda (8./ +3) 6. Toyota (6.) 7. Audi (14./ +7) 8. Daihatsu (28./ +20) 9. Chevrolet (13./ +4) 10. Subaru (11./ +1) …. 17. Mercedes (10./ -7) …. 20. Ford (27./ +7) …. 26. VW (23./ -3) 27. Opel (30./ +3) …. 32. Smart (24./ -8) Here you can already see, for example, that Opel is on the way to improvement, while at VW it looks the other way around (which also corresponds to reality!)….Ford is a noticeable piece in terms of customer satisfaction overall ahead of the two, a trend that also corresponds to reality. Mercedes crashes 7 places… which, of course, is the qu. Alitatively catastrophic A-,M, and V-models have to owe… also this reflects exactly the real mood image of the owners of these models. All in a somewhat surprising overall result, if you look at the development of the last years…

  • Best car for 10,000,- €?

I don’t want to be too predetermined from the beginning. I would like to hear your suggestions: 2 adults + 6 year old daughter. Sporty – best 6 cylinder, less turbo. 10 to 20,000 km a year Hold time, probably 2-3 years. As little value loss as possible. Quality. approximately 10,000,- € Merci.

  • 30 year old leathery man looking for fun car

Hello together, some time ago I received some tips on how to buy a car here. I am currently driving a BMW Z4 Roadster with 265 hp and the mileage of 52,000 km at year 01/2007. The car provides an all-year car, but is mainly located in the garage and is used to do the following activities: – Drive to the training studio (6km easy distance) 3 to 4 times a week – rides to the food shopping / shopping 1 times a week (mostly on a tram) iningstag) – fun trips in summer, like as often as possible, but always only distances of 150km up – weekend trips to eat, cafes, eat ice cream etc.. Conclusion: My car is taken out 3-4 times a week and stands around the other time. My mileage in the last year from August to August was about 9,250km. Luggage compartment values etc. and maintenance do not really hit the debate. Now I want to upgrade. I assume that for my 8-fold matured ride I am already 12,000 euros – 18,000 euros to pay for an upgrade. However, the following criteria should then be met: – from Euro 4 and green badge – Roadster, if it is not a “cult car” like Ferrari, Lambo or the like – more PS, more NM – no American model (no Viper, no Mustang etc.) – BI-Xenon – automatic air conditioning – automatic transmission (except “cult vehicles) – purchase via a dealer – sporty car and no SUV or a Lim o What do you think of models for me or what would you buy as a 30-year-old leadiger? Thank you for your help and for further questions…

  • Afraid of the tunnel??

Apparently a lot of people are afraid of going into the tunnel, is that really so? I’m always happy in the tunnel, that’s something else. The light also often looks cool.

  • Vehicle letter disappeared – dealership says shipped

Hello, right on the topic: I bought a car in the car dealership 3 years ago (as an annual car). Car should now be sold. I noticed that there is no vehicle letter in my possession (have never held the vehicle letter in my hands). Right in the car dealership called and asked for it. Car dealership claimed vehicle letter was delivered to me via mail. When nobody knows. (A proof is not available for this). Vehicle letter has never arrived at me. , who is now responsible for a new acquisition; that I should go to the admission office and apply for a new one. Who is responsible for the costs? *You, had a pech* (literally). Has anyone here experienced the same situation? Many greetings and thanks for reading.

  • Cheap sports car 3000-450€

Hi, I’m currently driving a Toyota Yaris and would like to switch to a cheap but chic sports car. I like the MR 2 series from Toyota very much, especially the older ones but also the new ones, also the Celica series (especially from 2000 model) Mazda MX 5 I don’t like and with the Ford sample I doubt the reliability. The car must be used every day, winter as well as summer. My budget is very limited with a maximum of 4500. Optimal would be a car with 4 seats, 2 would be n however also ok. Do you still know model series that have a sporty look and are also reliable in everyday life? Airbag for driver passenger should be available in the series. Mfg Marcel

  • understatement: yes or no ?

moin all! so short for those who are not able to speak English: understatement means as much as understatement and in this case very discreet but strong cars are meant, which one does not look at their performance and spritziness at best… what do you think of it? one should look at a car, how much power it has, or under circumstances even use optical tuning measures to conceal missing engine power ? or do you prefer to see evaporated views of viscose drivers the straight inhibition let’s get rid of a harmless looking golf being heated up ? also quietly post photos of your understatement or sporty styled cars…a lively but fair discussion would please me P.S. I wanted to start a poll, unfortunately (still ?) doesn’t go with me…

  • Tata Xenon

Hello for now, today I have to ask a question. Looking for a new (used) car I have stumbled more by chance than wanted over the Tata Xenon. Sure car from Iniden. The technical data reads well, but how does it look with processing; driving behavior etc.? Do I also fit in with my 190cm body size at all? Which replica is this?(Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Terrano?) Which license construction is the engine?(Mercedes?) I mean for 13470,-€ you can’t On the other hand, I also have little demands on my car and with 2 years warranty. from A to B bring Diesel 2 t it should be able to pull space for my family plus luggage and also accommodate two large dogs. rear drive or four wheel aways towing vehicle Well and as a horse holder you are never sad over such a pickup a bit of comfort is never bad(climate, etc.) Wanted to test the pickup even once, but since the dealers are right far away, I thought I would expect a lot. first of all. Search function returned zero hits, which already made me a little stunned. LG Frank

  • Is anyone interested in Fisk Karma?

Moin, I am very interested in the new Fisker Karma (see photos), which is now to be finally also available in Germany. The price list available on www.fisker-automobile.com mentions at least EUR 101,800.00 for Karma. But I read a few days ago on the Internet that Fisker wants to introduce Karma in Germany at the absolute battle price of only EUR 69,900.00 in order to quickly win customers. That would be a hammer! Does anyone know something here? r den Karma? Look forward to contacts! Best greeting Dominik
