Hello I’m looking for a new station wagon. Budget is ~8000€. I’ve already looked around a lot but the selection is not really easy. Currently Fz is a Passat 35i B4 station wagon with 2l gasoline. Since this has come into the years and it slowly lacks the comfort I find something new. The most important would be that it should not be smaller than the passat or just the size of the room. Even more important would be the reliability. I’ve already looked around: Passat 3b/3bg Mondeo Mk.3 Omega letzes Bj. Hope you can help me with the advantages and disadvantages that make it easier for you to choose from.

Car purchase Golf 4 or someone else ?
Evening, since I have lost the fun of the deeper car (Polo 6N) and the restricted ground clearance bothers me I want to buy a new car. Now I’m not sure what kind of thing it should be.. I drive very little, 60-80km/week, and sometimes long distance ~300km upwards at a time. Find a reliable, inexpensive (petrol consumption, rep. insurance/control) car. Tomorrow I look at a Golf 4 BJ 2000 with ~89tkm. Much more I don’t know yet Should ~4100e uro cost… I’m not sure if a Golf 4 is what I’m looking for, one reads and hears a lot of very common repertures. Can you suggest cars to me? Should be in the price range around 4000€. If no new big discussion about the Golf 4 can start now, there are already many but well. Mfg

Car up to 20000€ plenty of space under 5l consumption
moin, am looking for a car up to 1500€ where the absolute limit of pain would be 20000€. The car should have a lot of space is very large. So 1.90m should have space. Yes the car should consume very little up to 5l would be good. I looked at the Hybird cars e.g. the new Prius and the new Civic both very nice cars, however there are still small things that I don’t like about the cars. e.g. the Civic doesn’t pull right. Therefore my question how much Ps are in the space and up to 5l consumption and which car is in question? Had thought of Polo Blue Motion(Has enough space?) and Seat Leon 1.9TDI (Never closer looking just from the listening legend) Hope you can help me, sry if this is the wrong forum but I’m not looking for a special brand!

Which engine, 1.6 ltr or 1.4 ltr Turbo?
I’d like to buy a new car. I’ve already driven the car with 1.6 ltr. 110 hp and was a bit disappointed. It had to be turned quite high to feel something of the 110 hp. Now, in the next quarter of a year, a new engine for this model comes on the market. It is a 1.4 ltr. turbo with 130 hp. Since the turbo has the power already in the lower speed range, it should certainly be an alternative. To what would you advise me to buy the 1.6 110 hp o I don’t want to race with this car, but it should also be a bit fun and not start with a big roar of the engine. The new engine will probably also meet the Euro 5 standard, the 1.6 has Euro 4.

Japanese build a car that only goes with water.
!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems that you only tip water in. Not as complicated as the German hydrogen BMW. Would be really cool if the Germans would also move in the direction. Is there someone who knows more exactly about it? What do you think about it?

Need urgent car recommendation
Hello together, my husband and I decided yesterday to buy a car. It was a long discussion. We have a deal: he respects my wishes and I make myself smart on the Internet. So: at the moment we drive a Citroen AX BJ 94 with 45 HP, which we want to keep!! AND a metalic blue Mitsubishi Colt BJ 93 (PS fan around 60 or 70) run with 230,000 km. The latter car we want to get rid of, because it has problems with the clutch. (what do you keg you probably daf He still has TÜV until the middle of next year. The Citroen drives my man every day about 30 km. The new car should therefore be for ME. I drive four days a week 80 km, almost exclusively motorway. On the other days I drive a lot of country road and city (per day about 25 km). In addition, the car should be for LANGE routes (like to the coast, or to England or to the warm sea). Still important: we have a 6 year old son, who in about a year a Gess We want to spend max 2000-3000 Eur! We are very uncomplicated people and for us a car is a pure NUTSCHGENSTAND. It should be favorable in maintenance (also spare parts). My husband does repairs, like brakes, oil changes and others himself. So far we have been very well clear with the mitsubishi (also on vacation). But a little more safety DARF it is. On holiday in England we had a newer Ford Fiesta. It can be something bigger. It can also be a K ombi. o.ä. A dream for me would be automatic, but don’t have to! So, that was a lot of input now…but where better than here could I ask that otherwise?!? I hope for help so that I can then present it to my husband.

First car for student
Hello motor-talk community! I have to buy my first car and look for support and good advice at this point, because I have absolutely no idea of cars myself. I have read some basic knowledge in the last 3-4 hours, some of it from this forum, but have the feeling that I could still use a little individual advice. Who doesn’t like this thread or who doesn’t care about my job I don’t force him to read, who a I would like to help a little, thank you very much in advance. First of all to my person: I am 19 years old, student, 1.80m tall, live between Düsseldorf and Cologne and will hold my driver’s license in about a week. My concern is to be on the road with as little money as possible, purchase and maintenance combined. Important here: I plan only for exactly one year, as I now estimate from October2009 for 1 1/ 2 to 2 years will not need a car at all. But this one year I definitely want to drive, alone to gain a little practical experience. I have also thought about leasing offers, but think that they make rather less sense for my special case. I have to insure the car about myself and have also unfortunately for the purchase no one who could be of any help to me, neither parents nor friends who know well. Here a few basic data: For the l 250€ is available for the purchase. In theory, everything is up to 350€, but I would hate to spend more than 250€. I will drive an estimated 15t to 20t km this year. It will probably run out of a used small car. I have already looked at the Opel Corsa or the Renault Saxo a little bit. The difficulty in my situation is that I am dependent on a relative planning reliability, and on a reasonable amount of time. safe purchase, because I cannot judge vehicles myself at all.

Large engine = large consumption??
Hello, I always ask myself the question if a car with a lot of ps/cm3 really consumes more than a car with less PS/hubroom. A low-performance car you have to press constantly to get ahead with it. Best example highway: First it is very cumbersome to get the car to speed so you can drive on the AB and second the overcrowding process with a 70 PS gulf is in my opinion very uncomfortable! You almost need a start to be able to overcrowd safely. n 70 hp car with a 100 hp or 150 hp (you don’t really need more!) compare car, would the 70 hp car always have to pay the most on the motorway at approx. 130 KM/H. Would the consumption be higher than with the engine capacity-stronger cars? My incompetent logic tells me: The more engine capacity, the less speed, so the quieter you can run the car and the less fuel consumption. To be able to say what is most economical, one must know w o you drive the most. For people who drive a lot of AB at a speed of approx. 130 km/h upwards, a 150 hp car is probably cheaper than a 70 hp rotary organ, which must be constantly pressed out. For people who drive a lot of city is probably the low-performance small car first choice. But also I think you could drive a car with more engine capacity more economical than a weakling. A hybrid probably (if at all) only interesting for city drivers, but there comes m What do you say? Please tell me what the reality looks like!

Search: robust, easy to maintain and maintain, cheap new cars
At some point in one or two years I want to buy a new first car and then use my beloved proton as a hobby and second car. Now I already set up a theoretical search with some criteria for a new car. Some criteria: – The car has to be technically very simple, so does not need the latest technical kram. ABS and 2 airbags would even be quite enough. Nevertheless, it should be able to meet e.g. emission standards etc. for the future – The car must – The car should be able to put away a little harder use, i.e., in case of small sheet metal damage do not start rusting within 2 hours and also important: the whole car should be easy to clean inside (especially inside) as well as outside. Simple plastic would be right there. – Spare parts should be available long after purchase and – It doesn’t necessarily need to be a small car, should already have some space. – The equipment can be kept very simple, i.e. eFh, climate etc. I don’t necessarily need to. – The car should nevertheless be reasonably respectable without acting cheaply and at the same time. I know it’s not an easy list of demands, that’s why it’s only theoretical. Let’s see what your tips and tips are. Contributions so surrendered, thank you already!
