Hello together, thought, I’d rather open a thread!! In the first line, I’m now talking about my own experiences and soberly looked at aspects, not just a “cheap scrap” shovel!! I’m currently looking for a cordless impact wrench, which facilitates with the work with occasional screwing on the car, screwing around on the yard is with constantly busy posture as well as on the knees quite uncomfortable! Since a real tool range but only in a paa I would like to build on my existing battery screwdrivers, but I will not find Worx 16V and B&D 18V and I would have to upgrade the battery ́s anyway or so… From this point on it goes to the same cost… From the parkside there are some youtube videos, where wheel screws are solved quite well!! Unfortunately not by Güde… Any other suggestions? Would you like to get a e brand, where there are other devices for, sometimes I also have something to make rum, where I miss circular saws/stitch saws and replacement battery ́s are even more worthwhile… Hope there are a few who have already dared the step Many greetings Mopedcruiser

Oscilloscope for troubleshooting – which one is recommended?
Hello, after I put a LIN connection wrong in a retrofit last weekend and then searched for a wolf, the decision was now that I will get an oscilloscope. By chance I stumbled over a few models, which can also evaluate LIN and CAN which in the long term could facilitate troubleshooting of some ECUs anyway. Now I am thinking about whether a battery powered or a stationary oscilloscope is more useful. It makes it a little more handy and easier because the mass/grounding topic is eliminated, but it is usually tray-like devices with a higher price compared to stationary devices, which are however also quite handy. For the trays speaks with some of the automotive-oriented functionality, which might also be beneficial with different challenges. Is there any experience with such devices and a recommendation here? Best Thank you for inputs!

Check/calibrate torque wrench
Hi peoples, I have a slightly older one (about 20 years), but still quite good Gedore. But don’t trust him so much. Would he like to have him tested, so what I’m setting up is also turning on top. Does anyone here have any idea where to do such a thing? I mean basically. Is one looking at a car workshop, or tool dealer? GreetZZ ANDI

Weld V2A with electrodes
Hi, it’s not 100% the right forum but hopefully you have some tips for me. I don’t have a welding training, but with my original welding transformer I actually got everything quite acceptable welded (at least for my conditions more than satisfactory). Now I had to weld two V2A stainless steel tubes (2mm wall thickness), so briefly Google asked (there’s supposed to be quite good) and ‘n Packing electrodes bought. Everything prepared and started n –> What a shit!! Electrode mainly glued tight, seemed to me like the first person. I got it after some time, but wanted to ask you questions. The following thing occurred to me: – Electrode coat stopped constantly, but the soul melted down a few mm lower (after setting down there was nothing more before the overhanging coat was not tweaked off) – electrodes very often stick firmly (very strong, almost no more off). – Apparently goes with g Rougher distance (longer arc) better What is it? Are the electrodes bad? Any tips. PS. I cut two square tubes on miter and welded them together to 90° (especially the outer edge was a bit tricky because of the thin material thickness). Thank you. Searched for new tool made of hard material
Hey, I’m going to ask you about this round, I’d like to buy a lot of tools to modernize my hobby workshop a little. I’m looking for good socket wrench set, ring ratchets (thought in the first line at Gedore) and bit set made of hard material. With the bitset it’s important that they aren’t “round” at first edge, is there advice on a purchase? Ask for concrete suggestions? Oh so … I’ve looked around a little on the internet and s I’m not quite sure which brand to be – do you think I’m driving well with it http://www.werkzeugkoffer.net/bgs/profi-steckschluessel-satz/, or should I rather buy everything individually. Furthermore, I find the brands like Hazet, Proxxon interesting. Please make a recommendation/warning? I hope, on the experience of the community

Polishing machine for headlamps
Hello, the TÜV thinks that the headlight glasses of my car are too “blind”. Therefore I bought for the sake of simplicity and because there was no finer grinding paper than 1200er in the hardware store a refresher set with small pieces 2000er, 3000er and 5000er, polishing paste and sealer (naja). Since polishing takes some time and effort I thought about buying a used, cheap polishing machine, e.g. King Craft KCA 250, for small money. Jetz I have read here and elsewhere that these “simple” DIY and discounter devices are consistently considered unsuitable for polishing, and would like to ask for the technical reason: Why are these devices consistently so unfit and what technical criteria are they, by which one can recognize the basic suitability (speed, power, or … or … or). Do they at least do something for the “polishing” of headlight glasses? Mick

Value of a threaded cutting set (Company Narex, Whitworth thread)
Hello! I have two complete, 28 pcs. threaded cutting sets, the brand Narex, manufactured in Czechoslovakia. I would like to sell these two, but I don’t know at all what value they have (see picture). They should probably be used among other things for (possibly older) mainly British cars. Can someone tell me what such a threaded cutting set is worth, or to whom I can turn? The Internet has not been helpful so far and also Rolls Royce un d a vintage car workshop could not help me any more. Thank you! 🙂
