  • Lima to voltage converters?

Hello Can I charge my 2*12v 140 ah GelBatteries that are connected to 24v with a 24v Lima with 140A or is the current (amper) too high and thereby shoot my batteries? Have a 24v voltage converter attached to it with an integrated Iuou charger ,I’m only concerned that during the ride (fridge/freezer run) the batteries are not vacuumed empty or if I have no shore power available to charge the batteries with the motor. If it goes t which cross section would you need for the charging cable at about 4-5m length or possibly any Midi fuses. And where do I get my D+ for the 2 Lima (on-board network 12v) questions about questions ??

  • Locking at the filling nozzle of the fresh water tank loose

Hello At the filling nozzle of the fresh water tank the locking for the tank cover went out. (see pictures) As I see this was a press fit because nothing is broken and no adhesive can be seen. With what can I glue the ring back in again? Have only UHU and Pattex in the house. Food-safe the adhesive does not have to be, since this tank is no longer filled. I thank you in advance for your answers.

  • CEE 3 pole extension // 2 x 10 meters

Hello together, I am new owner of a Mercedes Benz Marco Polo and have a question about the power cable. First I had bought the 25 meter 3 pole CEE extension cable – but then it was too long for me (especially to roll together again). I would like to give it back now and bought me a 10 meter cable. Much more practical. BUT on the weekend we stood on a parking space, where the 10 meter cable was then too short because I do not want a 25 meter cable and also no space for a e Drum now has the following question: – Can I just use 2 x 10 meters and close them together if necessary (with a rain cover)? I have often read in the net that one should be careful with the extensions. But would be more practical for me, as I do not always have to roll up 25 meters. – If I keep the 25 meter cable, can I still close a CEE adapter 3-pin at the back if the need exists? You should not over the 25 meter It would be great if someone here knew about it. Of course, the most important thing to me is safety.

  • Support load with roller carrier

Hello Together, all the discussions I can find on the internet (also here in the forum) revolve around support load on the trailer, but my problem is a roller carrier on the trailer coupling. In short, to understand. My Ducato box has 100kg support load, the installed AHK has 150kg support load (I have mounted afterwards, from Westfalia), clearly that the support load is limited to 100kg. A roller carrier weighs now depending on the model approx. 20kg, a semi-usable 50cc scooter weighs approx. 95kg, summa summarum therefore 115-120kg. The Ducato had previously a rear carrier for the rear door, which was allowed to be loaded with 30 or 40kg, the doors, respectively the hinges can be removed. Now it must be possible that I put a scooter carrier + scooter with 120kg on the AHK and pull with two clamping belts on each side about 10kg upwards on the door hinges. If I now still make sure not to exceed the axle load, everything should be in the green area. If the support load (e.g. by weighing) is almost impossible with this construction. A problem of “underrunning” is not at all an issue here, since it is not a trailer and it is therefore only about the overload of the whole construction. 1) In D, this should not cause any problems with +/-50% tolerance, do you see that as well? 2) In A and CH, I fear that I come from D, a “preferred treatment”, one knows our nice neighbours in the south yes. onnte find no tolerance for A regarding support load, does someone know what? 3) what does it look like further south, e.g. I, HR or GR, they are a bit more relaxed, since someone has experiences with slightly exceeded support load? Rejoice me about helpful and constructive contributions!

  • Warranty handling not with every dealer

Hello, a topic which I think is too little taken into account is the fact that you can only list your warranty cases/claims with many brands from the dealer where you bought the vehicle. I didn’t know that at the time of the purchase of my Malibu, and would certainly not have been an argument to buy the vehicle. I assumed that it would be like the cars that you drive to any representation in the warranty case. nn. We found ours 350km away, now we have to accept 700km for each warranty case. We agreed with the dealer that he will send the parts to me, and I will build them myself, as far as possible. And that is not insignificant, as the quality leaves much to be desired. After the first long holiday trip however, we have discovered cracks on the panels below the driver’s cab doors, on both sides identical. That is one thing I do not know. cht can fix parts sent to me, now the question is, who replaces the holiday, the time and the costs for this guarantee case. Even with tests, e.g. Promobil, this is not addressed in the least, but instead the Malibu gets in current Hajt (09/2020) in the category Price & Service 3.5 out of 5 stars, something like that should be rated with max. 2 stars. Because where is the service at the customer, if I can not drive to every Malibu dealer?? Greetings Jürgen

  • Buying Youngtimer / Oldtimer RV?

Hello together, please help me with the following question. I am thinking of getting an older camper in the form of a 508 or Vario etc. with 50+. Background of the consideration is that I have on the one hand a slope for the old things and in our fleet already in everyday life irregularly with the 123er likes to travel. On the other hand I hope with these vehicles a robust, oversized truck technology, which still works reliably even after 500 TKM. r Car would be used by 2 people + gr. dog, inner cities (fine dust) would not be reached. Since I live in S-H, Scandinavia would be our preferred travel and driving area. So campsites are rather rarely approached. Maybe still the indication that I am just 2 meters and we both still have the old 7.5 To. driver’s license. Parking space for the car at our home on the property would be no problem. What do you mean? Spinning or a consideration worth? Are there any certain models from the time, which should definitely come with in the selection? Thank you in advance Filou

  • Small business with camping bus rental

The last thing I thought about looking at Youtube videos about camping bus Individual expansions, you could start a rental of such extended camping buses. Due to the current situation camping is always more in demand than ever and therefore the demand for cheap camping buses should exist even with younger people. I would consciously do without too much luxury in the vehicles and keep the equipment consciously quite spartan. So for me neither television nor Internet for camping holidays in nature. I would also use used base vehicles to keep the financial use as low as possible. However, I have no idea what the equipment costs then. Then of course there are also official requirements. I find these self-developed camping buses somewhat iconic. However, since I am working and by the way pay off a condominium, I can not make a year on Wild-Vanlife. Such a camping bus and then because of the main job can not use it so often, is also stupid. Stand around, costs tax and insurance so I can rent this thing if I don’t need it myself. Is that possible, or is it not financially worth it?

  • Does the brake have to be adjusted or not?

Hi, I was at the Dekra for HU today. Failed since refueling brake without function. The examiner sat down to test in the car, briefly hit – max 5kmh, full braking, no function. Drawbar completely pushed into each other. I called home, WW dealer. He already moaning and said “They never get this, because of the return automatic the brake only works from about 10kmh. Tell that to the examiner!” I into the car. 20kmh, full braking, caravan brake, tire squeak. A Iso back to the Dekra, the examiner tells everything. Then he went in to the phone and came out after several phone calls with badge. He then said something about “You also have a Winterhoff 3000 Antishlinger clutch and the WW weighs now empty about 1200kg, can also because the brake does not immediately address. ” Now I am of course unsure. Should I have the brake set? Or is that so correct that the brake does not pack in the low range?

  • Lithium supplier battery via LiMa charging VW T3

Servus, I would like to replace the lead acid battery under the passenger seat with a lithium battery. The following situation: During the ride, start and second batteries are charged in parallel. Separated from a simple separation relay, so that the first battery is not discharged from the second battery in the stand. When camping with mains power supply I have a Fraron charger (20A, two charging outputs). The original Westfalia charger has said goodbye before longer. the LiMa with max 90A and 13,8 – 14,5V, depending on what is running on the side. And the Fraron charger charges with 14.4V, max 20A. Both voltages are too high for a LiFePO4 battery. Now I have only found charging booster with solar function etc for 150€+ and am not even sure if this is the right thing for me. Therefore I wanted to ask if there is simply a voltage converter or something that is hanging directly in front of the second battery and which regulates the charging voltage to 13.2V ( On the battery is 13.2V Normarlspannung). I hope there is a relatively simple solution. Thank you!

  • Find a good cooler

Hello, I’m looking for a well-functioning cooler for the car, and would like to know your experience. I’ve already had an electronic box for 12 volts with built-in pelet lemt. However, it only achieved 20° under ambient temperature and therefore mMn does nothing. Also an absorber box for 230V/12V/gas (car fridge principle), same problem… That’s why I tend immo to a 12V compressor box. Has someone experience with it that he can report. LG
