Hello I have to reseal at our caravan all dachluken. Now I have filled on the Keder rails already the screw holes with Sikaflex 221 to prevent that no water enters, because he gets anyway still completely new groin filler. Now I read however the Sikaflex 221 is not UV resistant. Does this now something because of the Keder rails ? And should I prefer to take something else for the roof hatches and the oven tube ? Thank you already for your answers

Rain protection/canopy for sliding door wanted. Classic awning or are there alternatives?
Hello, after our self-developed crafter (here we go to the expansion thread) is now practically finished, we are looking for a kind of canopy solution. Maybe you have an idea, which could best fit for us. We have the following requirements:1) Weight: Since four-wheel drive, 2+2 persons and max. 3.5t zGGw is weight “the” topic (for which we want to make many compromises and of course also have to. Please do not have any discussion about this, because everything is clear about this. )2) Use: Since we are mainly free, we are primarily looking for a solution that protects the direct area of the sliding door from rain and sun if necessary and does not need to be tensed or supported. We do not “camp” after all. A canopy (as it offers a normal awning or a sun sail, under which you can also sit properly and which of course also needs to be tensed or supported is Prio 2. Of course, you first think of an awning, which can be extended a small piece without having to support it immediately. Nevertheless, I wonder if there might be a clever solution, which might work in a Kederschiene or similar and would be much lighter than an awning.3) Size: The solution doesn’t have to be huge. If you can sit under it in a completely built state and find some shade, that’s enough. More important is that the direct area of the sliding door is covered. 4) F eatures: Options like electric motor is completely unimportant, because probably means more weight. The possibility of lighting would be nice but absolutely dispensable…5) Mounting: An additional roof rack to which the whole would be attached would be great, because I would have a solution for planned work lights and a solar panel at the same time but I guess a roof rack alone could hardly be found under 50kg of own weight? Consequently, only the awning would remain directly on the roof But there are again tens of different solutions/variants. Long story short: What would you be looking for? Which solution would you prefer? Who had similar requirements especially with regard to weight.

Refrigerator Does not cool properly on gas
Hello, I have in my camper an electrolux fridge, the Womo is from 1994. The fridge had not cooled properly on gas. Then I went to a workshop because I did not have the suitable tool on the trip. This then cleans the burner and the chimney, afterwards everything worked again. Day over about 7° and night down to 2°. Now I have the problem that he from one to the other day not really cooled tomorrows I had 2°C and in the evening then 11 At night at an outside temperature of 10° it did not come below 8°. I checked the flame and it still looks like at the workshop. As a result I am on a campsite and with electricity it cools perfectly. I have installed an extra fan for heat dissipation, because I am in Norway and the temperatures rarely rise above 20° day I think that is uninteresting. Now the consideration is to buy a compressed air can and Are there any other solutions/ideas?

Mobile air conditioning for campers, caravans and co
How are your experiences with mobile air conditioners? Yesterday I got an advertising email from Ecoflow, which now sells not only powerstations, but also a compressor air conditioner with battery operation: Here’s a test:https://www.techstage.de/…/2g42h5s and here’s the device:https://www.ecoflow.com/en/wave-2-portable-air-conditioner So far I only know the small split devices, where you hang the external part in front of windows, for example the Euro AC 2400. not self-sufficient with battery. Or the evaporation air conditioners, which only work in dry heat. Or devices for fixed installation with 12V/24V For the Ecoflow you would have to drill a hole in wall, floor or ceiling, or pierce a window to get rid of the warm exhaust air. In the caravan you might also be able to put the device in the storage compartment, next to the gas bottles. At least a large additional battery is useful if you want to stand self-sufficiently, optimally natural at 540W power consumption I put PV on the roof.

Caravan windows torn down without reason ??
Hello together, since last vacation is our WW, a hobby Excellent 460LU Bj.2012, as always on closed, video-supervised terrain. Yesterday I wanted to get diving glasses and snorkel from the WW for my son and thought when I am there I can “vent” some times. So first roof hatch open, then windows at the kitchenette. First window closure opened, there was the whole window already outside on the ground. The only thing I noticed before, that between the The disc is completely torn off on the 80cm long hinge!! For me a phenomenon. There is no other damage to the caravan so I exclude vandalism, even on the disc no damage except the total damage of the case. How can something like this happen??? The caravan is fully covered (but 500€ SB ) and in the partial casket with glass break also for plastic windows, I talk to the insurance consultant tomorrow and hope he “hi There is no cause. Where would I get a new original disc? Or do others fit with the closures etc? The opening is about 72x35cm The disc is about 85x46cm LG Mickey
