  • Caravan windows torn down without reason ??

Hello together, since last vacation is our WW, a hobby Excellent 460LU Bj.2012, as always on closed, video-supervised terrain. Yesterday I wanted to get diving glasses and snorkel from the WW for my son and thought when I am there I can “vent” some times. So first roof hatch open, then windows at the kitchenette. First window closure opened, there was the whole window already outside on the ground. The only thing I noticed before, that between the The disc is completely torn off on the 80cm long hinge!! For me a phenomenon. There is no other damage to the caravan so I exclude vandalism, even on the disc no damage except the total damage of the case. How can something like this happen??? The caravan is fully covered (but 500€ SB ) and in the partial casket with glass break also for plastic windows, I talk to the insurance consultant tomorrow and hope he “hi There is no cause. Where would I get a new original disc? Or do others fit with the closures etc? The opening is about 72x35cm The disc is about 85x46cm LG Mickey

  • Motorhome broken open, reinforcement panels missing in doors

Last weekend our 2014 Adria Twin 640SLX was broken up at a campsite in France. The thief drilled a small hole under the lock in the driver’s side and probably moved the pole with a hook. The hole is hard to see. Various things were stolen, he failed on the navigator and triggered silent alarm. Except ours were still 3 WoMo on Fiat chassis. The owners noticed this only after I told them and they The car body workshop is surprised that, according to their statement, the handles are usually mounted to a steel plate from the inside to prevent this from happening. However, it happens that the WoMo manufacturers can expand this because otherwise there may be problems with the mounting of the roller blinds. So a sheet metal body no longer really offers protection against burglary. With us the front doors are now always connected with a clamping belt, so far I had with these doors n does not take protective measures.

  • Camping bus base – Ford Transit or VW bus?

Hello! We would like to buy a camping bus in a few months. By 2013 we drove for over 9 years a VW-T4 with a canopy (unfortunately sold because I needed money at short notice) and it itches again, the camping virus and is looking for a vehicle for many years to use. I am looking for something in the price range 35-40k€. Regardless of the interior layout – what is to hold the then from the base vehicles? Current transit or later VW-T5, early T6? A little appalled I am from the engine’s origin ot. The vehicle is supposed to replace a car in everyday life (about 4tkm short distance p.a. + holiday trips also about 4tkm p.a.). I would like a petroler. Petroler is not available at the Ford and the VW-T6 currently 150hp(or more) – which gasolineers were there at the late T5? But it will probably be a pin search to find a VW camper with petroler. (in the T4 I had the VR6, was good thirsty, but with my low Jahers driving performance I took that in buy) I find a diesel at short distance (m Ax. 8km, but mostly I less), which makes up the half-yearly driving performance, somewhat unsuitable? What does it look like with the rest of the technology? Preparing for rust at the Ford? Buying a VW diesel? Thank you!

  • Weight, payload, plastic harness

Hello municipality, you have a nice Sunday afternoon, how many campers we have weight problems. Actually we drive constantly overloaded on vacation, but have never been checked. Now I have found that our kitchen equipment (all porcelain) has a very nice weight. Of course the overweight is not only because of it. But I want to try to reduce it as far as it goes. In an Aldi brochure a straight a plastic crockery Crofton is offered. zeptable alternative to porcelain plates? I used to have melamine dishes, but can remember that this was very expensive. Does anyone have experience with crofton dishes? Greetings Aspergius

  • Mass problem Hobby

Hello together, I’ve already searched everything, found a lot about mass problems, but nothing that really fits my problems. We went under the campers a good year ago and together with my sister and my brother-in-law we bought a 93er Hobby 521 TSM Classic de Luxe. He looks great, very well maintained, but still laid a new floor and made the covers new. We also painted the underbody with WoWa underbody sealing. He had a hole in the rear light, since there were no spare parts, I patched the place with a repair kit. I guess now, however, that this hole just became a disaster for us, because unfortunately on the day after the purchase it rained so much that the rear light was flooded. As a towing vehicle a Golf 4, the AHK I installed myself, with vehicle specific 13-pin. E-set, also extended with permanent plus. At first everything worked without problems, only the NSL indicator lamp The WoWa has no NSL. Now to the problem, we now have massive mass problems, the rear lights become darker when braking, when I flash at the same time than wildly confused. At the beginning this error was minimal and hardly visible. With a 7-pin. transport trailer I do not have this problem. However, the NSL burns continuously, even if the ignition key is pulled off, but not on the vehicle. he NSL shut down on the vehicle no longer works, in between, but also not always. Another problem is the fridge, which initially worked super well and cooled at 25 degrees in the sun even on Lake Garda. But now it does not work on 12V (he has never, since I put the permanent plus only after the holiday) nor on 230V, even on gas not, it will initially be a little cool, you can feel that on the ribs, but then that’s it. ak already had a WoWa dealer checked, but he could not find a mistake. All resistances etc. were probably fine. I already searched the side of the caravan Ottos and got there tips for troubleshooting, would like to check everything with a friend, who knows himself better with electrics and caravans on the first March WE times and build a new clutch on his fend, but if you already had similar problems or have further tips, just to the electrics, d I would be very grateful!

  • Brake light rear left doesn’t want …

Nice Sunday, the brake light at the rear left (alcove construction) doesn’t work. 1. Light replaces, also tried at other places. It works, but not at the position of the left-back brake light. 2. It shouldn’t be a fuse either, because the brake light works at the right back. 3. I bent the contact pin already to the front, so that it is safe to contact. What else can this be? What would you do as a next step? In the appendix I have photos. Thank you, Alexander.

  • Trouble with TÜV because of battery next to boiler in Knaus 530 tk Sport

Have a 95 Knaus-WoWa, 530 tk Sport. There is the battery next to the boiler in the children’s storage room. So far no topic, now the TÜV has objected. So where with the battery? In plastic pot? Is in size 420 x 200 x 200, (battery is 390-80-200) – does not fit quite in the width, because drain valve for boiler is in the way. In the cabinet to the charger? Must first the wheel box be built over. What do you do? Who knows exact regulations – can I use the Bat terie can also be converted with wood (share a damper box), lead ventilation hose down and finished? Or who better solved this and can give advice? Thank you in advance!

  • Trailer tyres different from appearances

Hello, I ask you, maybe you know each other I bought a new motorcycle trailer two months ago. Now I have found out that in appearance 155 13”, but on the trailer are 165”. That is certainly no disadvantage, only I will have Problme at the first TÜV? Be good if you could provide me with arguments. My dealer will surely tell me about “no problem” and in three years I will be there. Greeting Eike
