  • Lower the 04 Softail and change the rear fender if necessary

Hi, I took a few pictures about the current situation and have a few questions: – Wanted to buy a Müller lowering, because it is still a bit too high for me. Is there a spring travel limiter or something similar? – actually I would like the “styletto hedge” better, but then I probably have to cut off the struts, right? The mW are removable only with later models. – can I just exchange this seat for a like for example with the picture with the “stylet to”? The rear light should be soft anyway, the Kellermann “DF” wanted to mount turn signals with integrated rear and brake light and then make the mark on the side next to the wheel… Then I would have the current Fender anyway “clean” and new paint. I just don’t know what pays off and what didn’t want to spend any sums. Thanks for tips Greetz Ron

  • Volume also security?

Moin Lütt, my biggest fear I have in front of Wild, which jumps before me the Heri. Today I spoke with an oldie who had to sell his 4th and last Harley because of back. We also came to the topic “Accident on Harley through Wild”. He argued that Harley drivers are more secure on this point than other Möppi drivers, because from an HD an unusual and also louder noise emanates (scheuchfect). How are your experiences and observations? For me are me The ultra green one knows his deer in safety, because I scare it away before I do it. The health insurance has no costs if I don’t have to drop off at 80. Who shoots through the country at night with his HD and disturbs people in well-deserved sleep? OK,ok, is only my opinion, but what do you mean? Greeting Klaus

  • Motor tuning

Hello, I let my engine tune many years ago. By Bernd Kramer. (actually known) The thing runs great. Since 30000 km. Does anyone else have experience of engine conversions from it?

  • Number of teeth Gearbox FXD 97

Hello guys, I built a speedometer from the company MMB with my Evo FXD Bj 97. I have to say a horny part. 50mm diameter, all indicator lights in it etc. Works with the HD speedo-gage on the gearbox. So far, so good. But now my problem: for the calibration of the good piece I need the number of teeth of the gear of the 5th gear. Can someone help me there? I have no urge to pick my gear to count…. Thanks and Ciao

  • Opinions and facts on new vehicle concept

Hi, I’ve been thinking about a new vehicle concept for a long time and now I wanted to ask if my considerations were basically possible and feasible. The basic problem with today’s internal combustion engines is that they achieve an efficiency of up to 43% at full load. However, this full load condition will only be achieved in a small fraction of the entire driving time. With partial load, the efficiency drops to up to 20%. * Here would be inte Ressant, what efficiency can be achieved over (e.g. normal EU consumption cycle). Here I wonder if you can’t increase the efficiency of the engine. The solution would be simple: You always let the engine run at full load. Here I would start and use the well-known principle of downsizing. Replace a large-volume four-cylinder (e.g. 2.0 TDI 140hp/106KW) with a small two- to three-cylinder turbodiesel with 400-1000cm3. This would result in a capacity of 30-75 kW per litre. This motor then runs continuously on full load and could already have an efficiency of 43% throughout today. *Are higher efficiencies already possible with a long service life due to higher charges? Now you have the problem that you have a constant power source, but a very fluctuating consumer. A fixed connection via transmission and drive train would be practically nic This is why I would design the whole concept as an electric vehicle. The small internal combustion engine drives a generator continuously. It feeds its energy directly into 2 (also 4 possible as an all-wheel) wheel hub motors. Excess energy is stored on a small battery and, if necessary, is passed on to the wheel hub motors in addition to the power of the internal combustion engine. Thus, short-term performance as with a large-volume internal combustion engine (here 2.0 TDI 10 6KW) is possible. *Can anyone confirm or repeat my theory, does anyone have experience here? Due to the small internal combustion engine all components of the engine can be smaller dimensioned (example water pump, oil pump, entire exhaust gas cleaning system, also the fuel tank!) Also the weight saving brings a reduction of the consumption again. The complete system with small internal combustion engine, generator and battery should be smaller than today’s combustion engines together With the use of electrical auxiliary units, the efficiency of the internal combustion engine would increase further. I just claim that such a small combustion engine would be very close to the 50% efficiency. *Opinions on this?! In addition, you could also use alternative fuels (already established and tested). The big question remains, how high is the efficiency of the fuel. n Generator up to the wheel? How high are the losses on the generator, current converter, lines, (possibly battery charge or discharge) and wheel hub engine? How high would the efficiency of such a vehicle concept be? Thank you for your answers!

  • Electrical problem with the Kymco Fever

Hello, my Kymco Zever ZX is ticking around a bit. It’s a new battery installed. When I turn the key around, sometimes neither flasher, horn and brake light work. The problem occurred for the first time 2 weeks ago, then I renewed the round plugs of the battery, cleaned all plugs with rust solder, smeared in contact spray, partly soldered or replaced. After that a day was quiet, then the game started from the front. Did nothing and after that was a W Yesterday it started again. The electrics react as if no battery was connected, i.e. the flasher relay only creaks, the horn horns very quietly (when the engine is running). My guess is the voltage regulator or the resistance. Or? Thanks

  • Driving with too little oil –> Consequence

Hi guys, I have a question: An acquaintance has driven with his scooter with far too little oil, about 100ml. Now the scooter in cold condition starts badly. If it is warm, it goes smoothly. Since with the old oil residue a few metal parts have come out, I think that maybe the piston rings have already got something off. But what I can’t make a rhyme of is the following: We have removed the spark plug and sanded a bit and cleaned, then by e-pcs arter and Kickstarter saw if there was a spark…and there was no one. Again built in and the part still jumped on.??!! I wanted to replace the cylinder and the piston and so on now, because I think, as I said, that they already have a damage. But where does the problem with the spark come from????

  • Peugeot Jet Force C Tech Darkside Price for Sale

Hello. I have a Peugeot Jet Force C Tech Darkside that I bought in August 2014. Currently it has run 10100 km will probably sell it in 3 months with 12 tkm. Had a small fall two months ago while the cover on the exhaust side was scratched however was the fall at about 15 km h and accordingly only an optical damage. Before sale the rear tire and brake pads front + back is renewed. Only the first inspection was made. and after the fall I had it checked for further damages which were not present except just the scratches on the panel and ESD. The scooter was not tinkered and never hand-made. Papers all available as well as repair book and purchase contract sum about 2700 Euro since I have bought yet another luggage rack which was never used this is given. Just want to know what I can realistically demand for the scooter. Thank you
