  • Moped/Mofa for short distances in everyday life

    Hello together, I want to get a moped or a moped, which I want to use for short distances in everyday life. I often travel in the village during the week. Football training, fire brigade meeting, with friends, … But I am on the road depending on the weather and distance either by car or bicycle. The distances are normal for the car but too short… and for the bike then also too long again, or I don’t want to streken anymore move in the area of 1-8km I like But I don’t like a scooter, because I find a Mofa/Moped much more chic. I especially like what is in the direction of Puch Maxi or Hercules Prima 5s. I have no idea if this is the right direction. Technically, the Mofa, or the Moped, 50ccm and min. 2-3 hp should have. I am 1,93 large and stable built and in the Sauerland we have some hills, which I don’t want to get high with 10 km/h, but also 25-30 total, however, a speed of 45Km/h is enough for me because the distances are not so long and I don’t want to drive faster on 2 wheels, for that I have my Audi A4 I hope that I have thought of all the important information and hope that you can help me choose a moped/moped.     Hello, Only a short introduction, which follows export when an HD is in the garage;-) Come from OWL, am still just under 50ger, have so far quite a lot of dangers, Enduro, tourer, sports tourer and super sportsman. Currently I have a Monster 1100 Evo. Since this year 3 of my fellow riders have born up properly, I want to take it a little quieter. I also had a Buell M2 in possession, which has really poached in the Dolomites. Now it should be a little quieter we rden. Since I almost don’t know which direction to go, I ask for your support and experience. What I don’t want is the typical thick ship with disc and chrome, no chopper and no XB1200r. Thought more on the 48s or a nighster, where the latter is already cheap to acquire. Is there a Bj of which you should leave your fingers? Are there any mandatory points which belong to a visit or criteria, where you should immediately leave your fingers off? How does it look with everyday life? with which model can I also ride into the Alps car without getting lost and yet I can quickly get around the corner? I certainly cannot compare an HD with the current monster and it is clear to me that it will be different. I am therefore interested in your travel reports and experiences in all directions, positive as well as negative. I also like links to Inet pages / forums, where information can be read.   • Luggage carriers Softail Heritage 2006

    Hello, I’m looking for a luggage rack for my Softail Heritage Bj 2006. So far I haven’t found anything that a) would have fit and b) I liked. I would have liked one, but that’s not where the stupid German license plate fits, because of about 2 cm. Such a crap. I don’t want to have such a clumsy carrier. Does anyone have an idea?   • Exhaust Sportster 2005

    I bought a 883 Sportster 2005 and would like to change the exhaust. There is the one from Screaming Eagle with the Harley inscription and the one with the Schreming Eagle II inscription. Is there a difference in the sound or is there the difference in the performance? Does one know perhaps a sound alternative to these exhausts?   • Help!! shovel kit in initial hands

    Tomorrow young, I urgently need help, after my Trude was driven away under my ass in the summer I got a 1969-shovel (unfortunately with evo engine), problem with the story, it is in parts. Everything is available but looks like from ikea.   • Piaggio TPH C48 Year of construction 2009 Power drop, metallic noise from the Variomatics

    Good evening, I have the following problem with my Piaagio TPH C48 50 ccm. Since this morning my scooter does not accelerate as usual. The following has to be mentioned, my scooter was only throttled, everything else remained in serial condition. Until yesterday he reached the max. speed of 65 km/h at 8000 rpm. This morning, he came with trouble and distress, at 45-50 km/h at 7200-7500 rpm. By the way, one hears a metallic side noise from the Variomatics. (The Variomatics, as well as the e fixing screw has already been checked, it doesn’t seem to be there). Add to it that you do not hear this noise in the stationary gas, also noticeable that in the stationary gas the rear wheel no longer rotates. (In the mounted condition). In the last four days, always at the start of the engine in cold condition, a squeaking noise was to be heard briefly, for about a minute. Can someone help me further. The total running power is just 8300 km.

  • Kymco DJ 50S – No performance

    Good evening I bought me a 2011 DJ50S with roughly 2000km. Had a Peugeot Ludix 2005 before. The problem with Kymco is now that the dear previous owners were probably too lazy or too stupid to care for the scooter. Freshly bought and as noted during the test drive he drives only about 43-44km/h according to Tacho and has no pass. Right at the beginning when you give full throttle he loses after 1-2seconds the already weak performance and then drives without noticeable dropouts. And the rear wheel turns first oil checks and notices that there is nothing in it. So oil drained and as mentioned max 200ml pitch black liquid. New oil is tipped in, new spark plug is installed and an open sleeve is installed in the Vario. Carburettor is removed coarsely cleaned with washing spirit and a toothbrush. Reassembled, mixing screw turned out 2 revolutions and stationary gas so that nothing turns. Now it starts immediately, but goes out again in the stand. After c a 15sec drive, it also remains in the state. ( Maybe not the Choke properly installed again? ) The power loss at the beginning still exists and it moves with ach and noise at almost 60km/h according to Tacho. Performance improvement at the beginning only minimal (or placebo effect). Also my gas train is the first cm loose, how can I do exactly what? What now ? Are the Kymco scooters the so sluggish ? Why the power loss? Did not look at the carburettor needle. Symptoms for wrong setting of the needle ? Does the so much influence on the mentioned problems ? MfG

  • Will buy scooter recommendations and costs

    Evening on the other hand, I have to buy a scooter before spring. I’ve never driven scooters before and know me 0.0. I have the normal car driver’s license, so I can drive 50s(?), that’s enough for me. Now the question is, what are good scooters and in which price segment they move. I would use the scooter to come to university every day, that’s city traffic, maybe 10km back and forth. Then what more for monthly costs expect me (KFZ et C.)? Greetings Robin

  • Peugeotroller – good or not?

    Servus! I read myself through the forum out of boredom and always when it is said: brand scooter, no Peugeot appears. :/ I have nn Speedfight 2 from 2003. (takes the Euro 2 standard!). Is it very good, can scratch in curves with the main stand on the ground, reacts to any movement and attracts (for 50s) well. Repairs: nix0no Are the newer years of construction so bad or have I just had luck and caught a “good”? (So ala Lada, Russian automobile roulette)
