  • What is this plug called??????

Does anyone know what these plugs are called and where you get something like that? Or does even a 2 piece of it lie around where there is still enough cable to solder them again? It’s about a cockpit harness of a 750 Virago to be quite exact. Has snapped with the mobile phone, since nothing else at hand and not quite sharp. I’m just about to reinstall my cockpit and don’t want to unwrap these plugs from the original cockpit cable tree around my new fittings and LED control to solder with it, because if it goes in pants then I have at least the original to rebuild it again. With larger OPs I like to keep a back door open.

  • Turn off engine while driving

My cousin torments me on time for the weekend with a technical question, which I unfortunately cannot answer 100% – and honestly also does not want to test for him! The following: My cousin (17 – hach ja! – be so young again ) would like to know what happens when you simply switch off the engine of a car (manual switching drive) – by means of ignition key during the journey (e.g. at a speed of 50km/h). My answer to f the question: The vehicle will roll out without gear/on empty, the brake power amplifier will no longer work (pronounce the service brake is only to be used for max. 1 “reasonable”/light supplementary braking, since the brake pedal will be ‘hard’ without amplifier after 4-5x) and the servo support is logically no longer available. If you pull the key, the steering wheel lock will rest if necessary. t! So far, so good! However, he is not quite satisfied with the answer. What happens now in the coupled state? How does the vehicle behave or reacts? Maybe someone can bring some light into the dark Thanks, a nice 3rd Advent weekend, Focus-Freak88

  • Inspection of used cars makes sense?

Dear forum members, a few months ago I bought a 10-year-old Yaris with 100,000 KM on the hump. Now the next inspection is coming soon. After some cost estimates I almost fell off the chair. Therefore my question: Is an inspection really necessary? I get oil change at my free workshop for 30 Euro (+ about 25 for the oil brought with me). I change spark plugs, air filter, interior filter according to the specified manufacturer interval itself. As well as other predetermined maintenance work, the brake fluid change could be carried out individually in a workshop. Furthermore, I always have the rather favorable winter or spring checks (usually around 15 euros) carried out with my cars during the tyre change. Here, the braking system, chassis, liquids, battery, lighting and V-belts are checked. Also, every two years the main examination is added. Are there really still such in-depth and meaningful visual checks, which would justify the high financial costs for such an old car in proportion? I would be very pleased about experiences and hints. Thank you very much!

  • Purchase advice A2 motorcycle used

I recently passed my A2 motorcycle license and now want to buy a used motorcycle. Since I am a student I have only a budget of 1,000 to max. 1.600€. I have already inquired on various portals and have the following motorcycles in the closer selection: Honda CB500, Kawasaki ER5, BMW FS 650 and Suzuki GS500. – Which of these motorcycles would you recommend to me considering my budget? – How old should the motorcycle be maximum u nd which mileage should not be exceeded? I am looking for a motorcycle that is very reliable, because it should be used a lot in everyday life. I don’t need any special extras and the design is also rather incidental. However, I would like to make sometimes longer tours over several days. Thank you!

  • Charge maintenance for campers, solar charger?

Hello, we have a small RV with which the radio is connected to Dauerplus. As a result the radio can also be used on the place. However, the battery seems to discharge relatively quickly. After 3 to 4 weeks the battery voltage has already dropped to a low level. I think that the current will not be all too large. Therefore, I could imagine that a small solar panel is optimal for maintaining the charge. There is also the possibility, since Perhaps someone has already gained experience and can recommend something to me.

  • Damage-free classes Reclassification without reason

Hello, in the above-mentioned matter I was ordered to have caused parking damage (with allegedly 2 witnesses). My insurance company had regulated the damage of the allegedly injured person without consulting me (310,-€). To have committed an accident against the allegation, I sued and the proceedings were terminated for minority. In the account of my corruption I have now determined that my damage freedom class from SF7 to SF3 has been reduced I have been asked about my insurance and I have been informed that I can only avoid the downgrading in which I should pay the benefits paid (310,-€) to my insurance. My questions: Why does my insurance not simply recover the wrongly paid amount from the allegedly injured person ? Why do I have to pay the 310,-€ to my insurance to avoid a downgrading ? Wiso should I pay for something that did not happen ? Is the Rüc kgradation justified even though I have not caused any damage ? For me this smells very strongly after ripping off my insurance demands almost from me that I should pay for the resulting damages although they had no legal basis for paying the amount to the opponent ! Maybe someone here knows about traffic,- and insurance right or can help me with this matter … Thank you already for your answers …

  • double payment of damage to liability

Hello dear readers! I hope you can give me concrete help or clarify the situation. At the beginning of 2009 we had a liability damage as a victim (evil parked out, drove to our car). Now the whole “thing” ran a little curious… The vehicle was presented to the Wekstatt, cost estimate, next expert report. The opposing insurance provided us with a calculation check (not quite equal to the estimate – this was before the assessment The AH claimed the balance of the total repair costs from the opposing insurance. The insurance then paid again the total amount of the repair. Clearly formulated – the damage was paid almost twice by the opposing insurance. [Probably the apprentice was used to regulate the costs] The AH has the excess amount of the AH. of course, you have to pay us back. Now my question(s): 1. Until when does the insurance company have the possibility to recover the too much paid? 2. Is it necessary to report the overpayment (enrichment) yourself? 3. Other information? Thank you very much in advance.

  • Automatic gearbox in winter “delivered”?

Hello and good day. I have been driving cars with manual transmissions for decades. I have no prejudices against automatic transmissions (except for a little higher fuel consumption). Automatic transmissions are actually child’s play and „Idiot-safe and at the gearbox gentlest. But how is it in the winter, for example, if you get stuck in the deeper snow etc… Is one rather “delivered” the automatic transmission? I mean, that one with a manual transmission maybe “befr ie can (e.g. several times slow in the second gear…) P.S.: If this plays a role (e.g. technical development of the automatic transmission): I am looking for a used one in connection with this topic (from year 2000 onwards) and would also like to become friends with an automatic transmission.
