  • Trained as a two-wheel mechanic… yes? no?

Hello guys, I don’t really know any more… about three years ago I completed my AU training as a machining mechanic specialist. Milling technology and gained three years of professional experience.( last year I changed the department for various reasons and therefore did not work in production..) but I noticed very early that my job was not fun and a second training would probably be the best. I know that I like to handwer This year, I discovered my interest in motorcycles, (of course, I also drive myself ), which led me to the idea of looking for an apprenticeship as a two-wheel mechanic next year. now I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the job, e.g. shitty working hours little pay… read here last time an article there was what of 900 euro net and that not only as a bachelor, that would of course be very sobering, which would be a reason for me this profession definitely not to learn, because who can live from it, apart from that I as a machining mechanic really well earned, but money is not as well known everything.. to which I agree.. wanted to know if it really is true that you have to do a lot in summer and in winter as good as nothing has to do (to that I have to say if at all before my training at a big company to make, say Honda suzuki etc.. a three one company would not come into question for me, because I can imagine this if at all by tariff or even overtariff paid, then into one of the companies.. by the way, I have become 23 years last week and have slowly shot that me so slowly the time runs away. short and scarcely about answers to the topic of salary and working time I would be super grateful, gladly also al General opinions on my post.. hopefully I get a reply here at all, just post here for the first time and am absolutely no computer ass hopefully anyone can read this here xD gruss Devin! PS always drive with reserves ;D

  • Harley Dyna oil pump

Moin together…. My 95 Dyna Superglide is in the workshop and weakens with the oil pressure. Problem should be old oil pump in combination with slightly tuned engine. I want to know if the statement that the engine for changing the oil pump MUST be removed, true. It is a 5-speed gear without kicker installed and it should be inserted a standard S&S pump. Greeting and thanks

  • Harley Davidson FLST Fat Boy 1992

Servus, I’d like to get a Harley Davidson from my year of birth. So I’m looking for a 1992 Fat Boy with the Evo engine (gassing engine). Since I had very few points of contact with Harley until long and I can’t claim to be a professional screwdriver, I’d be happy about your expertise. What should I consider. What’s important? I’ve already found a Fat Boy that I’d like: https://suchen.mobile.de/…/details.html?… V I think someone here can already tell me his assessment. PS: I want to buy the Harley as a small investment. First of all, thank you very much.

  • Charging the Harley battery via the cigarette lighter connection?

Moin Moin, does anyone have experience with power sockets? I would like to put such a can on the frame of my Harley to charge the motorcycle battery via the connection of the cigarette lighter. Have pictures charged – the can is connected directly to the battery (power cable with eyelets). Unfortunately, find no clear information. Some claim that the battery is only partially charged, others say it works…. Can someone recommend me a proper can + matching charger hlen (if it works)? Currently I have to dismantle the seat and release the tank to get to the battery (custom frame / parts). About short info I would be happy to have a nice weekend. Greeting Steffen

  • With extreme cold 91 octan better than 98?

I drive an old suction gasoline and drive this year into the mountains in Switzerland. It sometimes starts badly at cold temperatures. Battery and spark plugs are ok. Therefore my question: Better Super or Super+ refueling? Or no matter!? The lower the octane count the easier the flammability or? So 95 octan or even 91 octan (I think it still exists in Switzerland) would be probably better?

  • Self-made vehicle tools

Hello, I’d like to know what kind of car tools you’ve built, or how you’ve been remodeling? I’m thinking about pullers or similar LG Michael.

  • Unusable tool

I once used the pipe pliers from father-in-law to screw a pipe apart. I can only advise against buying cheap tool, see pictures. Is there even more so to buy scrap? Perhaps still pictures of tools that you should not buy.

  • Harley won’t go into first gear while the warm engine is running.

Harley doesn’t switch into the first gear while the warm engine is running. Who knows exactly the problem and what did he do about it? Clutch is new (was not the reason) and all oils are fresh. The phenomenon suddenly occurs for two weeks, has not announced. In cold condition it can be switched on. At the start of the journey, too. After a few hundred meters you step like against a wall. It remains in the second gear. I had after a long drive that I even did not go into the second sha It’s a bit annoying to start at the traffic light with the 3rd gear and grinding clutch. No funny noises. All other gears can be switched. Fat Boy 1990 Greeting, Eddy
