Hej, can you see the maintenance and repair history using the FIN? I bought my XC90 from a Volvo dealer 500km from my current Volvo partner last year. Here at my place of residence I am told that you have no access to the history. (And I forgot the information from the Volvo dealer’s car dealer’s house) But that would have to be stored centrally on a Volvo DB according to FIN? What interests me? Whether the immobilizer/handling wheel lock has been changed before, because I would otherwise order this in a preventative way. I have MJ18. Could soon be due. Stupid, if it would not fit me at all in time.

97 V70TDI with defective cruise control
Hello in the round! Unfortunately my favorite toy has said goodbye to my oil burner – the cruiser doesn’t make a sound anymore. Engine control light was on at times, error reading revealed a defective pedal switch on the brake. So switches changed, errors deleted – and the cruiser still doesn’t like. However, the error is not set again. Now I have 2 suspects: On the one hand the turn signal lever or its div. cruiser switch, on the other hand the responsible control relay. However, the search for forum revealed for me contradictory information, which relay is now affected (once 101-102, once 106) Is there meanwhile secured information for this purpose? And if yes, what part number does the relay have or what does it look like, so that I can look around a corresponding part of the butcher? Or maybe someone has a corresponding lying around, which I can use for a sample and possibly acquire…

Need advice from one who knows about tyres and legal matters 🙂
Salute, we recently bought a used XC90 from the dealer. Don’t know me very well with cars – so, you’re welcome to laugh. 🙂 The car has Continental 235/55 R19 105V XL on it. With these tires, the car also got a new TÜV on sale! Because we now have to put all-weather tyres on it, I wanted to order new tyres in a workshop. Now it comes: In appearance, however, there are only the 235/60 R18 min 101V. 1) Did the TÜV not look exactly or is 55 vs 60 and R19 vs R18 unproblematic? 2) Since I don’t have a bug to buy new rims: would a new tire with 235/60/R19 OK? 3) 55 vs 60 what does it matter? Driving? Optical? I tend to be one of the 3 (in order) manufacturers. Warnings? – Michelin – Goodyear – Continental Many thanks in advance XC90 2 (L) 2.0 D5 AWD: Greetings

App “Driver Performance” missing
Hello, I haven’t been active in the forum for a while (before 740, C70 I, V90, V60 and XC60) and I’ll be back with this question. I’ve been driving an XC90 T8 (BJ 2024) at the beginning of the week. Unfortunately, I can’t find the “Driver Performance” app. I mean, that’s what the app called the previous models. I mean the app with which I can see consumption data. I only find the fuel consumption in the driver’s display. The power consumption is not displayed anywhere. I mean, there would have to be the app in the middle display. So combined display of electricity and gasoline per ride etc. I’d be very happy if someone can help. Thank you and a lot of greetings Alake

Touran Motor 1.4 TSI engine damage at 77,000 km ==> 8,000 € need your help!
Hello, I’m done and I need your help. Our Touran model 2013 has 77,000 km of engine damage. With 2 cylinders the piston is kaput and accordingly the cylinders. The engine was normally running but only management lamp was on and the pressure on the cylinders was not correct. The total cost is at 8,000 € for an exchange engine. Service was made at 15,000 km (at VW) at the gas station at 70,000 km. VW does not want to grant any culant because 1) car 5 years old 2) service was not or at the wrong place. Oil was always in there however. However, for me it is a production error. No service could have looked into the engine and could have seen that 2 pistons are defective. Do you have any suggestions to do anything? Are there companies that exchange such an engine cheaper and make sense to reconnect at another VW location? Are there any other options? We live in the area of Bonn. Many greetings and thanks! Gregor

If the repair exceeds the vehicle value..
It’s probably somewhere in the forum, but the right search term is going to make me do it, so here’s a direct one: My 2003 V10TDI now has 190.000km down and the friendly one now said that the engine has so much oil leaks, that you should shoot the car better. I still get a detailed list, but it’s about oily turbos (they’re probably swimming in it), leaky oil pump/tandem pump and valve cover. Everything together certainly more than 800€. My idea would be either to pay in for a new purchase of a mainstream car or to try selling via internet platform indicating the known problems for 4000€ VHB. Is there another option like for example used parts dealer and what would be expected there? Thank you for your help with “disposing” my diva, I’ll miss it. Snever…

OffTopic: What’s completely car-crazy
Here’s something completely car-crazy! http://forum.clube31.de/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=309 clicks on the link to the “alpina mouse” , he doesn’t want to link directly to it. Homepage Who of you pulls the same with the Phaeton ? Unbelievable… if you know what such a B12 precision is worth… I say from the investor’s point of view probably the extremely best money investment … And you pay attention to the videos, finally the “kerl” creates more space, so that he can really start collecting… Can someone tell me the lottery numbers of next Saturday ? greet dsu

XC90 – Camera image dark at night
Moin together, I have a question about the camera system at the XC90 and your experiences with it: In the evening/night the picture is almost completely black with me, no matter if the rear lights or brake light or front light is on or not. During the day no problem at all, but at night it completely regulates down into the dark, instead of at least reproducing or amplifying the ambient light. Sufficient light from the street lighting should be available, it affects both the front and rear cameras. So suppose a software problem. Is an XC90 T8 Recharge with Android system, year 2023. Did any of you have similar problems? How were they solved? Had it two days at the service, got it back unchanged. With the V60, which we had before, this was not a topic at all. Thank you, Mathias

Volvo S90 II car can not be opened – Problems with KeylessGo
I have the following problem: KeylessGo sometimes didn’t work lately, with the second key already. First key doesn’t work with new battery, the second key doesn’t work anymore. Open with the mechanical key doesn’t work either. Keys can be turned, but the lock doesn’t matter. After many attempts, the car is now open and it started after several attempts. Starter went through quickly, so that the car battery probably isn’t the problem. Nevertheless, I first connected a charger. Since I need the car tomorrow morning, I don’t dare to close it again. Did it try with an open window, but there was no reaction again. Does anyone know what this can be? Especially irritated me that I couldn’t open the door with the mechanical key. Frustrated greetings Jürgen

Led headlights moist
Hello guys, I finally bought a S90 D5 R design with quite full equipment yesterday after a long search. I noticed with the vehicle that both headlights are wet from the inside. The car has been standing longer outside in the rain weather now. The seller said that this is normal with the Led headlights. What do you say about it? How likely is it that both headlights are leaking at the same time? Or do you say that it is normal with the Led headlights. The Active High Beam Assist headlights are installed here. The vehicle is from 2018, accident-free and with the Volvo dealer. Thanks already in advance for the answers.
