  • Cheap reliable beginner car, please ask for advice

Hello, we are just looking for a new car for my girlfriend. The first car you had just driven for 2 months was a Renault Twingo BJ 2004 75 hp and so unfortunately quite fell on the muzzle because there was always something new about it. So we are looking for a new one now and want to get advice and help from you experts Our idea about the car: Price max. 250€ mileage max 150.000 The rest we are actually relatively open. I had a few cars here now. The Ford Fiesta and the Citroen C2 are well-chosen. How does the Fiesta look like? Are there known problems and what are the experiences with the control chain? What should we look for when buying the Fiesta or Citroen C2? Here are the links to the cars?http://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?…http://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?…http://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?…

  • Dodge Ram Srt 10 – Who drives one and can report?

Good evening together Is there someone here who drives a 2004-2006 Dodge Ram SRT10? We are currently looking for a fun third-party car for fine weather weekends, possibly with occasional camping trips. I am used to a lot of the Panamera Turbo and AMG G-Class in terms of consumption, but I read the most diverse statements on the net. I am aware that my own driving method strongly influences this factor, we drive or cruise but 80% overland and highway (130…because Switzerland). e write 16L – others report about easy 35L … what’s the thing now ? Does someone really drive the car and can’t just report about the uncle who knows you? Does the car (and the RAM in general) have special flaws that you should pay attention to during a viewing? What about the general parts supply and how expensive are normal wear parts such as brakes, air filters ect? Is the normal service for the semi-experienced hobby screwdriver feasible? How to write 16L – others report about easy 35L … is RAM technology generally reliable / prone? Is running performance around 100,000km a problem? I thank you for your feedback and wish you a nice evening!

  • Cadillac STS 2005 V8 4.6l front shock absorber

I drive a Cadillac STS Jg. 2005 4.6l V8 rear drive For a long time I have lost an oil in the front left of the shock absorber. Although I only have 86’000km on it For me it means to replace both front dampers. Now at GM Parts Online I have selected the part number of the front shock absorber for my chassis number and namely GM 19181634 for 355 dollars. If I now look for this number at Rock Auto the system gives me 3 different shock absorbers at below Monroe 39135 for around the 88 Euro. I would like to decide for this because from my point of view completely sufficient. Now to the bellows, which one should also change immediately, does not cost much, I have 2 to the choice the delivery. At the more favorable stands: front; rear wheel drive; except magnetic suspension control. At the more expensive stands: GM 88957131, front; “soft ride” suspension (option code FE1) At the top of the damper dome, where the 3 screws of the spring leg are located In the middle of the screws is an electric plug (under the hood ). Now my problem is that I do not find out if my car has a “softride” suspension or not. According to English Fooren I have read that the option code sticker is in the spare wheel dump, which I also found, there are numerous codes executed on it, but nowhere of “FE1” Hassi number is by the way 1G6DC67A550230248. If someone could help me, I would be very grateful 😉

  • Problems with Slift Co 2.30 e Lift

Hello, I have a problem with my lift. If I want to lift the lift up, it doesn’t work at all. As soon as I make a reset (small button on board) and then press the down button for 15 seconds, it drives down completely and the LED on the control panel lights up green. If I want to let it up now, it only goes up by piece (so keep pressing the high button) and after about 20cm the stage stops and the orange LED flashes. What I still have a problem with my lift. It has been noticed that a red LED always shines on the board. I hope you can help me with this… Thank you very much.

  • Forester SF fender expansion

Hello Subaru-community, I got myself as a second car, if a little more space is needed, now add a Subaru Forester SF. Got the very cheap, only the clutch had to be renewed, but so the car is really top and I love driving with it… ok, the obligatory clock repair was still necessary, but thanks to the error description here in Motor-Talk, and since my girlfriend works in a electronics company the small soldering point was no problem… 🙂 So, now but to my own I don’t know exactly what they call it… but I’m sure you know what I mean 🙂 The problem is now that my dealer said that they are probably no longer available and I didn’t find anything in the www. I might have found something like that from you guys, or I would have thought where to find something like that… the surrounding area. n Autoverwerter have unfortunately also nothing. I would also be glad if someone could give me the original parts numbers. in addition a photo of a Forrester with these extensions. Greeting Roland

  • Status report Turbo conversion – and urgent help sought

Hello people! With my conversion it goes on. So far all oils were exchanged, engine and transmission are again a unit. Timing belt is on again, n newer of course. I also made a new seal for the Downpipe – so fast was not to find any. Now it is that the plan should run the following dimensions: – Pick up trolleys high enough – Gear and motor at the front of the piece, possibly release axle to it – Diff out of the back – And then differently again together. I was lucky to be able to conjure up the hydro coupler from the moary we learned how it works :P. I don’t worry about the mechanics and connections sooo the worries, I can solve that. I get the electrics to break my head. In the Haney Manual there is a running plan of the turbo inside, but if I look at this, my control unit has about 70 pins, and there are only about 50. I can’t imagine that the other cables are only for fun. Then we come to the problem: M In one opinion, the safety boxes of both vehicles are quite similar. The question arises whether they are also INTERN. If so, I would have to separate the lighting wiring harness from the motor wire harness (for the turbo cable trees) and only hang the motor wire harness in it. However, I do not want to make any mistake, and to grill my control unit or so fax. So – Tips away from the front! Running plans – bring it! Or other comments. ch too planless at the moment. Thank you and greetings reno

  • All-wheel is not overpowering!

Today I had a sobering experience with my Allrad Subaru. I went to the Allgäu to take a week’s holiday there. So I looked at the apartment and then started to walk with the dog. A parking lot I already know controlled and targeted location. About 20 cm of snow. I did have Allrad and that should not be a problem, so I thought. Drived about 4 meters to the parking lot and noticed, here I can not get further, so rather straight back out. Ni I got off to shovel the snow behind the wheels with my hands. New attempt and nothing went on. You can guess it’s squeezing clutch and tires. Good advice is now expensive! There’s a young girl holding her lupo and she says she’s pushing me out. But we put a rope on it and she pulled me out with her lupo! All-wheel is not all-powerful! But the clutch smells so strange.

  • 75/6 – Reconditioning with SR Power Kit & Silent Digi ignition?

Since 1980 I have been the second owner of a 75/6 (90S equipment) and we have since completed nearly 300,000 km together. Never had trouble before, but all 100,000 new KW bearings and new upsize pistons as well as the usual (heads, clutch etc.). Now the next overhaul is on, the cylinders are at the end (2nd level). My question is now: Do I stay at 750cc with contact ignition as before or follow the recommendation of my workshop, on Siebenrock Power Kit 1000cc & Silent digital ignition umz So far, the cow has been running absolutely without problems for 37 years, only this stability remains with the increased torque? I am a relaxed driver, who can always be warmed up, but has also driven for many years for cost reasons 30s single-range oil… What experiences have you made. Best regards

  • Cadillac CTS 3.6 Ventilation defective?!?

Hello dear US car, respectively Cadillac fans, for almost 4 years I drive a Cadillac CTS 3.6 limousine from year 10/2008. Regarding driving comfort, performance and rarity value I love to drive with this vehicle, or to cruise. The Cadillac is currently equipped with a season mark and stands in my garage in winter. I am very happy to be able to move it again almost daily from April… However, there is a problem since last summer. 4 weeks before the season back to end e was, I wanted to go with the Cadillac a bigger tour, put the air conditioning and ventilation on high level and – nothing came… The ventilation hums, however, no ventilation, not even a lukewarm, out of the openings (the climate is no longer cooling). I tried everything, put the ventilation on a small level, set it on a large level, air conditioning and air conditioning out, but nothing went on. I assumed that logically anything about the ventilation, maybe even the complete unit defective Does anyone have any advice about what can be broken here (possibly a known problem with the CTS), what spare parts cost and where to get them cheaply, but above all also how to remove the center console and get to the ventilation unit?? I don’t see any screws, clips or anything else. Maybe I have to go somewhere else?? I am grateful to you for every tip, for every idea! Maybe someone has already had the same problem here and can explain his approach. maybe someone also found something on an American side that could help me… Thank you very much and thank you very much, Markus

  • GMC C30 no longer starts

Hello all, I have the problem that the engine does not start any more on my GMC C30 truck with the 7.4l machine from 1982. I have switched off the truck quite normally and the next day it did not jump on. The engine turns, but it does not say anything. Also a shot brake cleaner does not make it run. Therefore I rather do not believe in a problem with the fuel supply. In advance I always had problems that the engine died at certain speeds and almost died off arb. With a little feeling in the foot you could compensate for this again. Do you have suggestions or experience values? Thank you in advance, greetings Sören
