  • Whirlpool landing gear

Hello everyone! I have the impression that the V70 has a corrosive poltriges chassis. Especially in the rear, driving over bumps sounds so stupid. The car was driven from 2005 and only 15,000 km. I often have the comparison to other cars. So I like the Scorpio in the suspension much better! The Volvo automatic transmission (170 hp gasoline) is not so stupid either. Here and there Ruckeln and when turning then the 2nd gear goes in, he doesn’t have to! And if you then give gas, it jerks more, the 2nd is inside, but 2 seconds later the 3rd gear again. Senseless switching operations. Is not my car, but I would never spend so much money for it.

  • my new V50 =)

Hello together, because I was always happy when jmd. introduced his new elk, I do it now. Because last week Tuesday I was able to pick up my new company car: Volvo V50 2.0D Momentum, titangrey met., 17′ Zaurak rims (grey lacquered!), business package (Navi, Bluetooth phone, …) High Performance, Dalatech anthracite Had a V50 of the first series before and was really happy. This one is already MY 2009 and after the first 1,300km I am enthusiastic. I took a few pictures and set them here. I especially like the combination of the color with the rims. Was there before quite uncertain, because painted rims are actually not so my case… What do you mean? Greeting, kranzi

  • Finding a solution for the eternal topic: Top speed

I am now unfortunately the owner of a brand new V50 2.0D MY2009, which under no circumstances managed to reach only 200km/h. I gave a really good V50 2.0D MY 2004, which always reached 220km/h on the straight line, downhill even (according to Tach just over 230) And I am very angry about it, because this topic is already a problem for soooooo for a long time and Volvo apparently NOTS about the quality fluctuations at PSA even tried to change. Before I commissioned my friend with the problem, I wanted to know here in advance whether there are now effective solutions for the problem (software update, new valves, air mass meters etc.). With the model 2009 I had not expected to do so, but it is a pity for one’s heart if the Bock from 190 simply did not accelerate further. Should the deviation continue to be so significant (more than 5 percent probably according to previous jurisprudence) the car will probably go back to the dealer soon, however it does for that then. I have so far made many good experiences with the V50, but I am very grateful for the help again.

  • Wipe without ignition key!?

Moinsen! I just noticed something strange… Bzw.. Had I once, I just thought wrong. The following: My ignition key is in my pocket. Vehicle is open. Just the front window was still full of raindrops. “Miracle” and suddenly the disc is free again. Meaning: it was wiped! Now the question is: normal is not that, right? I drove the car last time with a rain sensor turned on – was like that also last time. However, if you pull off the key it should be off after all, right!? It definitely wiped. I did not have a second key here, so no one can plug it. Key is also not in the car. Wipe levers don’t go either. Is that someone else already happening? Say: Wipe in front move without doing anything…!?

  • Volvo’s Integrated Child Seat

For example, I’m not sure that I’m a little bit tired of having a baby seat. Why? 1. the problems of a non-Volvo Isofix seat are still quite well known to me, but the fact that I’m a little tired of having a baby seat for children from 9kg to 18kg. 2. my son has now reached the threshold to the integrated child seat (97cm and 15kg, 3 years), at least according to Volvo. So I bought the cover with a side pölster and headrest. When I took it away, it turned out that the headrest is far too high, which was commented by the dealer with the words, “that’s only for sleeping and not as protection!” My humble view as a doctor needs a 3 year old child in a serious side crash very well a support of the head! In addition, when sleeping, my child seat is always worthless because the rest position of the rear seat does not offer enough comfortable sleeping position to me, and a small child needs to sleep in the car. The belt is dangerously close to the neck.

  • Non-definable, rare noise from the engine

Hello guys, for some time I’ve been driving a V40 1.8 with 122hp BJ 2004. So far he didn’t have any big flaws. Now I’ve noticed a noise which is very rare to hear (here in the video you hear it).Video noise Until now the noise has occurred when the engine has been cold. Today it has also occurred after a 20 minute drive. You can only hear it when the engine is running in the stationary gas, during the ride there is nothing to hear. I hope you can help me quickly and give me the fear that it might be something bigger. Greetings Max

  • Buying aid to a V40 year 98, automatic, gasoline, 140,000 km. 122 hp. € 2,400

Hello dear present, I hope you can help me in my decision-making, otherwise I wouldn’t know who I could ask. Unfortunately I didn’t break the jackpot and unfortunately I have to rely on very cheap used cars. I am looking for a reliable car, which does me good service without major repairs still many years/kilometres. I had a Renault Megane year 2000 with now 150,000 and have the “snatch” full. Never again French!! From one repair to another and now he is standing with the mechanic and no longer jumps. So a “new” has to come, and since my ex had the V40 as a service car years ago and I was very pleased, I was very pleased to have to have encountered the V40 when looking for it. – But— is he also the right thing?? Achja, tooth straps have been changed at 120,000 and TÜV gets new. Since neither I nor my two daughters are “bastlers”, the repairs must be very manageable. What should I pay attention to, or rather leave a finger from it. Is the price too high for old questions.

  • XC 60 Engine recommendation

Hello dear Volvo community, would like to buy me a new Volvo, the lease of the old man expires. This will then become my 4th Volvo (and everyone really convinced me, I became a confessing Volvo fan), changed from the C-Class to a V-70 D5 in 2002, then the XC-90 D5 and now I have a V-70 D5. The next one is probably to become an XC 60 in R-Design, just looks great. Only which engine can you recommend me?……at the moment the T6 is my favorite……just somehow I’m a little afraid of its thirst ……. so again a D5 and then possibly with chip tuning from Heico?…Has someone already had experiences…is it worth it?…………

  • XC 60 – 33,000 km

To all XC 60 interested people! I am so far with the car (EZ 1.1.2009) fun and tireless 33,000 km on the road. Before I had an X 5 (four years), then a Jeep Cherokee (half year…). From the automatic to the distance tempomates, from the comfortable leather seats to the memory function, from the navigation to the Bluetooth (with Blackberry 9700 also addresses visible!), from the sliding roof to the Keyless Drive, from the adaptive corner light to the parking aid, everything simply works wonderfully. No squeaking, no squeaking, no creaking (to be honest, I would not have expected that so easily)! Although I had my concerns about various childhood diseases at the time of purchase, the car was still quite new in production. Even with various tests in German journals the Q 5 and the Mercedes GLK did not always cut a little bit better than usual. However, I finally decided on the large and practical luggage room (golfer) for the XC 60 Diesel with full equipment, and I did not have to think of it up to today with a special fuel consumption of about 9. But the average.

  • Cheap Navi Solution XC60

Hello municipality, there were already some threads about it, but I want to put my finished solution to the end in a new topic. Honestly the original Navi was far too expensive for me, although it is already technically the best solution – operation via steering wheel, no own battery, neatly installed in console. These advantages are however not worth 2000 Euro extra price! Price of my variant: Console…55 EUR Navigon 8410…377 EUR DVBT module…58 EUR Installation went with FSE – installation with! Disadvantage:1. For updating the software or the cards, I have to take the aperture, but without tools with strong fingers. 2. With frequent TV operation and short distances the internal battery becomes empty and the device switches off. Switching on with office clamp over the small hole at the top left! 3. The volume on the AB is just acceptable – the headphone output is unusable and coupling Bluetooth to the FSE is unfortunately not possible – would be optimal, but unfortunately only for headsets. Despite the disadvantages I am completely satisfied with appearance and function!
