  • V70 Problems with on-board electronics ?

    Hello Have on Saturday resp. Sunday made some “interesting” experiences with my elk. 1. Drive car in underground garage, park, get out and close LOCK at the push of a button. When we came back about 2 hours later, all orange flash lamps with dipped light lit. What could have happened there? 2. On Sunday something drove up a mountain and parked car. Shortly after getting out the cooling fan ran under the bonnet; is in itself nothing extraordinary. An hour later back at the car and marvel that the fan still rotates. Open door and get in. Uuups, why does the air come out to the vents? Ignition key was not yet in the ignition lock at this time! Has someone found something similar ?

  • Geartronic spins- How to repair?

    The search function is unfortunately still out of order, therefore my new thread. My Geartronic recently spins. Either it doesn’t turn at all, or switches like crazy into gears, where it has nothing to look for. I suspect that the electronic control on the gearbox, or the Mechatronic has suffered damage due to the extreme heat effect of the engine (T6). The heat problem has been solved by now, but now the gear has to be repaired. The Geartronic seems to be a GM (Opel) gear (Made in USA). Maybe someone knows who can repair this type of gear in North Rhine-Westphalia cost-effectively?

  • XC90 suspension: Very, very “straff”

    Dear XC90 friends, I’ve had my XC90 D5 since the end of May and now notice that the – as also found in the MOT. “somewhat tight” suspension tuning more resembles a full-blown rumbling. Every channel cover and every road patch is mercilessly communicated – partly the whole car wobbles. That can’t be wanted with a travel car like this, right? Who has similar experiences? Thank you in advance.

  • Severe storm: rain sensor and DSTC

    Hello together, once again the popular topic rain sensor: I have become accustomed to the way it works, but what the RS did yesterday was the crowning. I have the adjustment ring on the steering wheel lever normally in the lowest position. I get well used to that. But yesterday then that means: Flood-like rain, car in front of me, the spray swirls up, windshield wipers run at the fastest speed (as determined by the RS), then it happens. The wipers change from highest speed abruptly into interval mode!!! At about 80km/h this means an estimated 20m blind flight!! There I was baff. Luckily then I am not the one who goes into panic on the brake. Whether there is a GE jump on it? at the visibility and water conditions had changed to my forgiving nox… Have the RS then set a level more sensitive then later (m.M. after too early) I would like to drive into the next higher speed, but always better than not to see anything. I’m very receptive to the topic of DSTC, but have only reacted to a lot of praise on a piece of music.

  • AU did not exist: charging pressure limitation valve except target range

    My V 70 D5 Premium didn’t pass the AU for the first time today with 176tsd. Something with the turbocharger, my unfriendly opinion. Error message is PO 244 charging pressure limitation magnetic valve out of order. The turbo is gone, the valve, if that were it, would come 800 teuros, the complete Turbo 1000 without installation. I don’t trust the roasting, the car runs like cut, 1200 km with a tank in mixed operation, from time to time, once a month comes the message: engine maintenance required after locking at 2500 touring. Shut down and start again was the solution until now. As a woman I don’t trust a mechanic, they always hold you for stupid and clapping in the most expensive rep. Does anyone here know the message and has an idea for the solution? Thank you and nice greetings!

  • S60 2.4T Fan Problem – HOT

    Hello – my S60 2.4T 8/2001 has a problem: During the ride it keeps perfectly 90°C cooling average emlerature. I noticed by chance in the Torque that it goes clearly up at the stand (have stopped at 104°C). After that I caught my little Volvo tester. Both fan levels are off without air conditioning. I activate the climate, goes fan level 1 to ON. Temp rises however as said over 90… When should fan 2 trigger and what activates it? Recently I kicked it half way, then the fans ran after full pot – so as the fans still went without problems. Thernostat is also new since I have never reached more than 78°C in winter… Thanks for your help!!!

  • 2.0jtdm oil pressure faulty!?

    Hi people got started again again. I hope you can help me a little bit?! since 2 days there was always a short error message from the engine? to the first thing? to the first thing I had to do about 3 days ago I changed the engine oil and it was not too short! At my old ford it always went to the last drop everything out.Well, since I had about 6liter oil there I started 3liter and started a short run and then I changed the filter and wanted to let it down the screw was really impossible! Of course I would have been upset with a lot of power but didn’t want to destroy it again and so I would like to get back the oil from 3l as before and felt again new oil (Aral high tronic J 5w30 c) to the next one more times.

  • Normal already switch off the tank automats well below the preauthentication amount?

    I wanted to refuel today with empty tank for 1.869 €/l but although the plug-in of the map had been pre-authenticized, the pump has already switched off after at 41,19 liters and 76,98 €. So the normal noise went on, sounded like if the tank was full, but you could not refuel any more. When I plugged the card again still 4,22 liters went in until the first switch off, and with twice refuel then again 5,18 liters for 9,68 €. Was my first time that I filled so much, before never over 60 €. But is that really normal that the already at 76,98 € instead of 80€ switch off?

  • 156 1.9JTD 16V Sporadic power loss / motor control lamp

    Hello, I have the following problem with my 156 1,9JTD 16V and need your help. at approx. 3000 u/min comes the engine control light and the car has NO power more. Stop off, restart, the error is gone until it occurs again at approx. 3000 u/min. Whereby the error does not always occur. Just sporadically but if then read out at approx. 3000 u/min. Error memory resulted following: Error code Overview: Motor – EDC 16CF3 OBD Error code: P0238 Charge pressure endor A – signal too high Error code: P0238 Charge pressure endor A – signal too high Error code: P0704 Clutch switch – signal faulty Error code: P0704 Clutch switch – signal incorrect Yes, the errors were listed 2 times. The charging pressure sensor and underpressure hoses have already been exchanged. Does anyone have an idea??
