Hello, we have bought a caravan and that is a Dethleffs 515 RK (1500 kg load 1800 kg). At the moment we are still driving a caddy that can pull 1500, but now a new vehicle should come in. There are a few corner points that the vehicle should have: 1. traction power up to 1800/2000 kg 2. price up to 20,000/21.000 € 3. stationary heating (possibly alternative=?) 4. starter coupling (can also be retrofitted) 5. …. A friend says to me he should have all-rat, but unfortunately I don’t know if I need that besides, the vehicles really cost a lot of wood and some don’t even offer that. 6. He should get a lot of KM on it. (long-term danger) To the individual brands I can only judge by stumbling from the internet, whether this is wrong or correct I can’t say: Vw with a little km too expensive.. with a lot of worthwhile? Opel price performance is good enough with 120ps biturbo to pull so much in the praxsis I don’t need a Bian family for a Bian.

New car XC90 in workshop but I am not mobile 🙁
Hello dear Volvo community, I have here a question of understanding…. My quite new XC90 (new vehicle, 10 months old.) must now be changed for the second time as planned. A turbocharger hose has to be changed…. Now to my story: The exhaust system indicator light lit up yesterday morning on the way to work (30km from home), I then drove directly to the next Volvo dealer, who read out the car and said that a turbocharger hose is defective and has to be changed. Ok, he ordered it and asked me to repair it tomorrow morning. I should bring the car by 8h and can pick it up again at 14h. As far as it is so good…. Now I am there tomorrow at 8h and then ??? How do I stay mobile, say how do I get to work? The Volvo assistance does not take care of the case, since it is a planned repair and the assistance only helps with breakdowns…. The workshop can provide me with a workshop car, but would like to have 50€ for it.

D5 battery weakens, who could be helped in the long term?
In two other threads I have already presented my problem on the subject of no heater and no start/stop. Also the hint of a master that you should think about a battery charger with so much technology with only occasional use, can not really calm me. Since the car was just at the annual service and I addressed the problem battery and also the warranty expired in December, without which the problem seems to have been solved, I would like to know from other sufferers whether and how you have been helped in the long term in order to sensitize the workshop with the troubleshooting. I look forward to your answers.

Volvo XC90 T8 Mj 2019 no E-mark, E6b/E4/E6d-Temp and environmental plaque?
To the info: The XC90 T8 Mj. 2019 definitely does not get E6b or E-marks (was here already discussed and suspected). What I really find the hardness is that it has now only E4. I still wait for feedback from Volvo. Have until now only the info that just now with the new standard is tested and for that the CO2 emission is too high and the E-range is too low (and these birds do not know that 6 months before. They were still quite proud of their E-marks during the sales interview). I just check whether you can undo the purchase contract, because the assured property (namely E6b) is not respected. Although practically with the gasoline (yet) no role play, because only diesel with E4 and 5 are affected by the driving bans (or since today also not again ???), but after that there is still one on the idea, the particeklaus kick of the gasoline and – zack! – will not be banned with E6 again with the gasoline.

Correct function of the belt warning device on the rear row of seats (XC60)
Hello together, I have a question about the function of the belt alarm on the rear row of seats. I believe that this safety feature does not work properly with me. 1. Situation: Passengers get in the back and do NOT buckle up. I start the engine and start driving. Result: Display in the instrument cluster that no belt is used. However, NO warning tone is issued. 2. Situation Passengers get in the back and fasten themselves. I start the engine and start driving. Passengers buckle down during the ride. Then he descends and I continue driving. Result: Display in the instrument cluster that the belt is used at the rear right. With the warning (warnton) the warning is made that no belt is used. Even after getting out, the warning tone does not go out. I can either close the belt without the driver (which is not particularly wise at all) or make the car short. Question: Is this also so with you? Or do the rear warners react to you just as before? Many greetings Andreas

Integrated child seats in the fund seats at the XC70
Hello. Our family is about to buy an XC70 MJ 2016. Now I would be interested in your opinion about the integrated child seats in the fund seats (family package) regarding safety. Are the integrated child seats as safe as a child seat fixed with Isofix? What do your children say about the comfort of the integrated child seats? Our son is 7 years and 125 cm tall. Thank you for hopefully many answers.

Heico performance data for D5 published on homepage 🙁
I’ve just seen that Heico has finally made the power data available for the D5 MY2012 with the 4h of the engine. Should actually be a reason to be happy – but exactly the opposite is the case! There is not only no improvement on the MY2011 230 hp variant – but on the contrary: all the values have changed, despite 10 hp more (where are they actually?) significantly worse! Let’s go from the hand switch FWD: MY 2011 230 hp 0-100 km/h : 6,8 sec. MY 2012 240 hp: 7,1 sec. MY 2011 230 hp 80-120 km/h: 4,0 sec. MY 2012 240 hp: 4,7 sec. (only for comparison – even the 205 hp series variant gives Heico already with 5.1 sec.! at the 215 hp they do not publish it – probably the values of the series are better than the tuned Heico values!!!) The same game at 80-160 km/h: MY 2011 230 hp: 1,0 sec. MY 2012 240 hp: 13,1 sec. (also here the MY3.4 to the series!

My new S80 D5 Moose
Yes, yes, because the new S80 is in the market hall and has to be out there. Titan grey on 17″ Cassini rims. Double exhaust pipes like a V8 and this with a D 5 engine. The first 2 km to feed to Aral and also the next km are clearly too rough in the engine noise even when the engine is cold. This is hopefully after the ~ 5. refueling. TANKEN First horror after starting. Only 600 km range. My personal minus record. To compare my old V70 D5 1.510 km after refueling. See also my entry in the range thread. Winter tires at Tachostand 36 km. Borbet Alu Felge in dark grey. Looks nice. At photos. Don’t let me ask. Greeting Rainer13

Used car purchase – What do you have to look for?
Hello, so I have to get a new car and have discovered the V40 a little bit. But I have a) No idea about cars b) Not so much money. So as you can see, the usual problem Now I look inside in autoscout and mobile and see Volvos already for so 3500, for years of construction around 2000 and so between 100,000 and 180.000km. With the photos everything looks nice and the equipment sounds crazy, for one of the so far 0 equipment had. Therefore my questions: If you think about the purchase of a V40, what do you have to pay attention to? What do you have to ask, check etc.? What are typical defects? What is not so bad? Which mileages should be made when it comes to the check booklet? I have read the hand brake often causes problems. What does a repair cost? What does it cost with the Renault drive itself? From when is it there / no longer there? For tips and hints I am grateful.

Delete engine control?
Is there a way to delete the lamp for the error indicator of the engine control? The reason is that the car was ticking like crazy when speeding and the lamp lit (but only after minutes) (the engine had already run warm). My guess was humidity or bad fuel, because it now runs nicely. A visit to the workshop resulted in reading out (by 23€) that everything is possible: valves, control, ignition cables, coils, candles,…. That was not very productive, because the cables, coils and candles were exchanged a year ago (similar error picture at that time). 100 meters after the workshop the lamp lights up again, even though the engine is brav purring. That’s why my question, because I would like to know how often the “error” appears. Oh yes: S40 gasoline 1.6l 109hp BJ2001
