  • V70, year 2004, km 140,000

    Hello dear Volvo experts, I’m about to buy a Volvo V70. I’m quite insecure because many people advise me not to. Now I have an offer where I don’t know how to decide. The car is built in 4/2004 and has 140,000 km and costs 11.500 EUR. What bothers me most is the high mileage. Although the dealer says that should not bother me, the engine puts away that loosely but what is with the wear symptoms of the transmission, exhaust etc. I need your help for my decision-making. Who drives a Volvo and is it really that the kilometers driven don’t play such a big role.

  • Jaguar XF 2.7 D or Audi A6

    Hello, since I sell my Audi A4 in two days, I am looking for a new car. For months it was fixed on an Audi A6, but now I have discovered the Jaguar. After a short search I have selected three, which all should cost approx. 14,000 €. For the A6 so far was planned 11,000 – 12,000 €. My question is now whether it is worth buying a Jaguar XF. What is it look like with the maintenance costs, are the deviations very high? I have already read many other topics, also in this forum. However, since these are already 2 or more years old or related to new cars, I wanted to ask again. I am grateful for every helpful answer. MfG Edit: The Jaguar XF are at 103tkm, 126tkm and 150tkm. Are there soon expensive service due ?

  • Wanted: Instructions change lamps radio/climate control panel XC90

    Hello! I tried to change my lights on the radio and climate control panel yesterday. Unfortunately, I was alone and tried to switch with the battery, just that. However, as I had to find out, there seem to be some covers or similar installed from the rear of the whole unit…. But that would mean, you really have to disconnect the battery (VCG specification according to) etc. and completely plug it off and remove the thing to change the lights…. And how exactly does that work then I wouldn’t know… Did someone happen to have a guide on what exactly to dismantle there? Or should I go back to the retreat with my just bought lamps and let it do it? And if, what does that cost? Or did someone ever do it themselves at an XC90? Thank you already!   • S80 2.5D, Automatik, BJ 2001, Farewell pain & looking for an adequate successor …

    Dear Elkfriends, I have now gone through and will soon become the hardest of my heart to separate from my beloved S80 2.5D, BJ 2001 – and only because of the rotten fine dust badge. I bought my elk anno 2006 with 104,000 km for 10,500 euros. We immediately became friends at that time (I had a 960 combi, i.e. already elk trainer experience) and now spent almost ten years and 274,000 km together – tacho stand today 378,000 km. If I distribute purchase price and repair costs over the years, the car cost me in the month silly 130 euros and never let me down. I am sad …, but you should look forward. And that’s exactly where I’m not looking right now. I’m looking for an adequate successor – with particle filter, but still before the body change, so if I see that right, until BJ 2006? If I remember right, then the immediate diesel successor has already got after my S80 (the one still over the uncaputable Audi T-motor) and there was something to be recommended for the engine? And then thanks for the engine.

  • Attention !! 1.4 8v HDI after timing belt crack

    Have recently had a 1.4 8v HDI in the workshop, vehicle is not jumping! Error memory read out, Syncronization camshaft / crankshaft coharence. So control times checked, control times offset by 3 teeth da tension roller defective / loose! Tilt levers tested were in order so control times corrected and tension roller and timing belts ern, motor turned out in order! Engine so started, engine still does not jump on. Error memory read out, no errors! Parameters Injection tested Syncronization KW / NW available, Rail pressure io, air quantity io, EGR io, exhaust pressure io, compression varies by about 4 bar per zyl! After 2 days I have found that the cams on the cams shaft have been twisted minimally, that means the cams are twisting rather than the tilt levers break, since the cams are only shrunk up! Madness !!! Well, if you know no problem! That’s why this contribution from me!

  • Help!!! Is my cooler frozen!

    Please help me! Had problems with my Citroen today at about 25c early after the night shift. When I started my car everything was ok after a few kilometers controlled my car suddenly at 30kmh. In the cockpit came a lamp engine control and I noticed that the radiator fan ran on high but cooler indicator in the cockpit was as always.Then I put myself for 5min at the road edge and let it run in the stand gas. When I tried to drive it he ran again great only that the lamp in the cockpit did not run out.At home I noticed that in the cooling water tank everything was frozen and a noise in the stand gas came out of the engine room. Sounds like water pump! Has my car already pulled a harm out of it or or what else can happen? Please help! Mfg.tyler6

    Hello people, what I find a pity here is that you always have to ask your questions in a very special forum, although my question does not explicitly refer to Citroen but is a general question. So I’m looking for a car in the golf class up to 15tsd Eur , 40Tsd km from BJ2009. From 120 ps best with 5 doors. I’ve already hit Golf6, Seat Leon and Fiat Bravo. Did anyone of you possibly suggest another one or other for my search criteria? Please no Koreans I don’t like the cars so. Thanks for answers. Greeting Another thing. The car should be sparkling.   • No power on the motorway

    Moin since Tuesday I have my V50. On the way to work and back, 25 km of road, city traffic and federal road ever about 1/3, he drives wonderfully. He sprints away from the traffic lights like Usain Bolt. Yesterday I got summer tires and had to drive about 250 km. Then on the highway the first kilometers “normally” drove then turned on the cruiser. After about 100 km of highway times a little pause. After that I noticed that he had no performance. At the time of giving gas nothing happened. I came to about 120-130 km/h (the gas pedal about 1/3 pressed through). I could push the pedal further through, but nothing happened again. In the meantime he accelerated again again, at the same time the consumption went on almost 10 liters. Then again on the country road (the remaining 25 km) again as at the beginning. After that I did not visit my car type again on the highway.

  • Gas, or… why didn’t I do it myself????

    hello again, I don’t know why, but I didn’t really have the impression today that the mechanic(?) had seen something like a sweden tank at all, but I was suspicious and had to go in again, on ́m Li..parking place, and see there it lacks the fire gas drainage. not there, just a hose that lies around there and I had already printed 139 out of the operating instructions (because of the 10 min forced pause after ignition). the battery had ordered the master after vehicle registration (minor), then the actually had to own a fire gas-abltg, or not. can I now drive through the prarie or would the nem suicid come immediately????? to answer am I looking forward to thank you, Willvo.
