  • Winter tires…

Yesterday a letter of my duty tyre dealer fluttered into my email mailbox: which winter tyres I would like to have to my new car. Basically I had so far almost always Conti, apart from an exception. Now I have the choice of the torture for the XC60. Tyre size is the 235/17. Has someone experience with: – pirelli Scorpion ICE and snow – Conti 4×4 (which I have up to date and would take again) – Dunlop WinterSport 3D – michelin Lat Alpin With the rims there is only the choice between Pest-Cholera-Tripper in silver or black. I decided for the m.E least evil.

  • V60 – so far he doesn’t go to me

Hello guys, this evening I got the V60 as a replacement car. It looks quite chic from the outside, but if I put myself in, I just lack the “elch feeling”. I just lack the feel-good factor; can also be due to the cheap equipment (bad plastic [does not work] and the fabric seats are too rough for me. I haven’t driven a lot yet, but I’m quite satisfied with the steering and chassis. Also the overview is neat for a new car. Let’s see, I still have the car the whole day tomorrow. Maybe I can report something positive. LG Stefan

  • V60 clatters

Hello! Our V60 (D3, Kinetic, 19000 km) has been clapping for a few weeks. It’s a short noise that sounds more like plastic parts, which occurs with short bumps (e.g. Gulli cover). On a brisker journey, e.g. highway it no longer occurs. The noise comes clearly from the rear right, e.g. height recirculation seat/C-pillar. My search has so far only resulted in exclusions: It is not the trunk flap, not the cargo compartment cover, not the luggage net, not the tank lid, not the belt and there are no parts lying around. Has anyone experienced a tip or even similar and if necessary solved? I am grateful for any help!

  • V70R and OIL

Hello dear Volvo community, I bought a Volvo V70R from priva MJ 98 with approx. 200 000 KM. I thought for a long time because the body had some used tracks but nevertheless closed up. The owner was a trained screwdriver and a Volvofan who sold his whole Volvo collection because of illness. I looked at the car last weekend, and looked at it for 2 hours. Except for the Karrosserie and a Kaputter Nebler was all in order. Today I picked up the car with my girlfriend in the convoy, about 200 km away from home. Tonight I took the car in the garge in the magnifying glass!! Since much of the oil on the oil measuring rod was not even at the lowest mark. The oil cover is also directed at petrol, but it probably happens. The pre-circuiter drove every day maybe 35 km to work and back! So not so far I can find a turbo is a little oily, in the charging air hoses is just an oil film. In the clothing under the cooler package is oil as well as on the forum, just like the turbo is consumed by a lot.

  • Overtake 2.5T engine?

Hello, I hope I’m here in the right forum. Hello, a friend of mine drives a Volvo C70 cabrio with the 2.5T engine. One of the first ones that were built from 2000. The engine has now almost 270tkm on the clock and there are some things that need to be done. The clutch must be made absolutely, the timing belt, water pump also because it loses cooling water, ZKD has to be new and somewhere the turbo leaks, it whistles so nen bissle past the side. The workshop meant that there is a total damage, because the engine goes into the thousands and the car is not worth more. Right you, could be very expensive, therefore it will be made itself and we have decided to take the engine out. We have from April the possibility to bunker the car and to work on it. And if the engine is once outside, you will get comfortable to exchange all parts and to check it out. The question is now, since the head has to go down anyway, what can or should be done right with the valve seat and the valve loop, or if it is enough to make the piston ring again?

  • Turn signals on!

Hello, I have a volatile phenomenon, but it doesn’t stop every time. if I press my flasher no matter if left or right, it doesn’t blink, but the flasher just lights up until I take out the flasher. I assume that it is on the relay, if yes, where is the flasher relay?? A small question I would have in addition. If the cam crankshaft sensor has so slow a blow away, and the engine does not start now and then, then the motor control light lights up?? With the antenna ring nothing should normally light up. With me nothing lights up if the engine doesn’t want to start. I know that from other car manufacturers that lights up the motor control light when the cam crankshaft sensor has a blow away, so I ask, because then I know where I have to start looking. Because in addition, I have the problem. Before I forget it, it is a C70 2.0 year 2000 Thanks and a nice weekend!

  • Project Ceiling light switch with lighting

There is an unergonomic place in the 850: the ceiling light switch. I fiddle every time before I found the thing in the dark, I often catch the single buttons instead of the central toggle switch. Since one or the other may be as good as me, the idea comes to me to install a discreet lighting in the switch. If this works, I would of course also like to introduce it here. I would like to have an extra ceiling light module for this project, so immediately the question: Does someone have one left or can remove one from a battle vehicle? Don’t worry: I would pay for this quite normally, I wouldn’t have given it anything (if someone would spend it for the purpose, but I wouldn’t mind …).

  • End pot 855 2.0 10V – V70I 2.5 20V equal ?

For my 855 I’ve had a new end pot for ages, because it sounds a little very ‘sporty’. But I never really got to change it – ‘Sound’ since about 20TKM is the same and consumption is ok. I have a V70I since today, which just sounds ‘sch.ße’, because there is obviously more than one hole in it. Vlt. also somewhere in the pipe – I haven’t been lying under it yet. After some googley I noticed, the different provider for both elks offer the same pot. 850 has type 714 (2.0, 10V, 93 KW) V70 has type 740 (2.5, 20V, 125 KW) After all, the V70 has 32 KW more and would like to get rid of something more ‘air’ … !? D.h. could / would I imagine the at least of pipe a little bigger dimensioned. Are the VK all just deppert / no plan / wrong info or fits the nevertheless? Info and experiences please.

  • Blis

Hello to all playful moose drivers, VOLVO is allegedly unable to deliver the BLIS system announced with loud marketing shout for the foreseeable time. So my latest information. Reason is probably the unreliability of the system. Too bad. But better so than so http://www.spiegel.de/auto/current/0,1518,321452,00.html Greeting from the cucumber

  • Engine control light burns permanently: EFI-131 Engine speed (RPM) sensor, signal lazy

My new V40 was a very good offer (350 euros) but apart from a dent in the fender, the engine control light shines permanently. However, he passed the exhaust test and the engine runs well. In the error memory there were first 3 errors stored. After deletion there was one error left: “EFI-131 Engine speed (RPM) sensor, signal rotty” In English: “EFI–131 speed sensor, signal activated” (must be deactivated) Does anyone know this error? And why does the motor run super with this error?
