  • How good is the V60 protected against martens?

Hello guys, there is a marten in the area – fortunately not yet entered our car. Nevertheless, I would like to throw the following question into the (virtual) room: How good is a V60 (D5) protected against marten? Is the car under the engine largely closed (as is probably the case with some vehicles) or can a marten climb more easily into a V60? How are your experiences? Did your moose ever contact Marten? • Hanging in the luggage compartment net

Hello municipality, I wanted to hang the luggage compartment net for the first time today and notice that the ends of the mounting rod are not angled. I did not get these in the intended holding eyelets. In my V50 these are handled, that mounting principle (holding eyelets) is very similar to the V60 m.E.. In the picture in the guide it is also noticeable that the holding pole is angled at both ends. Am I too dubious for this, have I overlooked something or is this a construction error? Maybe I am also the first one who wants to drive with mounted luggage compartment net on holiday

  • Cold feet?

Hello together, …I drove on the WE for the first time longer with the moose (and finally tested PA on long rides – it worked great!). What I noticed – each after 2-3 hours had really cold feet?!? I don’t know now, whether I have the control of the climate still under control, or that is a known elk problem. But even if I put the ventilation only “up” on the front window in the climate, I had the feeling that constantly cold air blows to my feet? Does someone know the problem or am I just too stupid to control the air conditioning/ventilation properly?! DAnke and GRuß, Camper_73

  • Title and interpreter via Bluetooth

Hello, with my MJ2017 V90 (Kinetic) since the beginning to the condition that from the Android Galaxy S7 no title/interpret information is displayed on the central display. When he was finally to the service and total update (Update 2.0), I could see with the same mobile phone surprisingly in the S90 car rental MJ2018 (Momentum) everything aif the central display. (as in the old V70 III or in the 2017 Audi A4, on the mobile phone or the settings it probably isn’t…). Same behavior with Deezer and Samsung Music. The friendly thought it might be on the equipment line Kinetic, but my impression is that the multimedia elements between Kinetic and Momentum are the same… Does anyone have a Kinetic that can display that? Or a software update with which this was solved? Thank you, HarroHallo, with my MJ2017 V90 (Kinetic) since the beginning to the condition that from the Android Galaxy S7 no title/interpret information is displayed on the central display. When he finally got to the service and Total Update (Update) was not able to see the old device in the MJ 2017, but the same device.

  • Underbody protection / Sealing Experiences?

Hello Together, I have been the proud owner of an XC90 R-Design D5 for 5 days (if it is still to be presented separately, share experiences and photos ) because I would like to keep the vehicle long-term (until now very satisfied), I also think about protecting the vehicle…had it also had so with my 3-BMW, and 24 years driven first think about a foiling to protect the paint, but don’t have to be!? but I think specifically about an underbody protection, or seal. to how far is the Volvo factory protected, is there need? And to what extent? On the Internet are different providers who offer protection for 149 EUR (spraying once with the spray can probably through) and others offer protection for 1000 EUR a professional where each crack, groove is lubricated, waxed and protected. how is your opinion???

  • XC90 too big?

Hello, I’m just about to order a new company car. I want an SUV and also need some space for family and dog. Since the leasing rates for the XC90 are very cheap at least with our suppliers, my budget would also be enough for an XC90, although I initially had the XC60 in mind (which unfortunately has become somewhat outdated in some things). Especially inside I find the XC90 great, but somehow I can’t get used to the size. First of all, it’s the pure dimensions of the vehicle and the difficulties associated with it (inside town, parking garage, etc.), but I also simply disturb myself with the decadence of the dimensions. Despite the pleasing design, this is somehow incompatible with “understatement”, which actually always stood for the Volvo brand. Am I the only one with this “problem”? I just don’t want to notice negatively with the thickest car far and wide on the road (yes, the Q7 is still a little longer, but I think that’s what I mean). By the way, I like the new V90. While I didn’t like the V70, the new V70, the whole new V90.

  • S60R loud “klonck” sound left front ????

Hello people would like to introduce me, am new to the Volvo Forum but not new to Motor-Talk since I drove Opel before and who knows the abbreviation AT-5 (Aut.Griebe) can imagine that I had a lot to write. The constant customer service sentence ????”You are the first one that happens….”????? I could not hear it anymore. Therefore “back too the roots” and bought me a VOLVO again. Now the choice was on the S60R which I bought with approx.13000 km year 2004 as a leader and now about 20000 km without problems drove. I now have a very loud noise “klonck” which occurs again and again on the left front but so irregularly that I can not clearly assign it. It’s like if something is tense and then loosing so that you hear it very loudly and want to enter the steering position maybe at the right turns it doesn’t always occur and it comes to me as if the front is slightly shifted. But it’s also when you drive a few times and then there is no longer a problem.

  • Chassis of the R-models

Hello, first of all I would like to thank you for the many interesting and helpful contributions here. Since more than 10 years I am a convinced Volvo driver (currently 850) and plan now the purchase of an R-model. Yesterday I had the opportunity to have a test drive with a V70R (BJ 10/04). Without a doubt a hammer vehicle! In the previous articles I have actually read only good about the adjustable chassis of the R-models (apart from the transfer problem). In the test drive I was surprised now that the Comfort mode is in my opinion already quite hard (at least in comparison to a “normal” car). Furthermore I noticed that in normal driving mode in the city there is hardly any difference between the sport and the comfort mode, especially with regard to the suspension comfort, if one drives e.g. through small impact holes etc. (if one heats through the angle mechanism, it may look different). Now my question: Can you share these impressions?

  • Navi DVD reader defective or dirty?

Hello, I bought a Volvo Navi DVD 2006 for my V70 Bj 2002 from Ebay (before I read that there might be problems with old devices and new DVD’s). Prompt my reader didn’t recognize the “new” DVD. But unfortunately the device can’t read the old DVD anymore. The friendly one had to run through a cleaning DVD, but unfortunately it didn’t work. On repeated attempts it went again briefly, but since about 300 attempts nothing is possible anymore. According to the previous reports the old DVD from 2002 would still have to work, and therefore I would like to open and clean the reader. Does anyone have an idea like this, or maybe a plan B or C that at least makes the old DVD readable again? Thank you for your suggestions. Greeting Sven PS: The friendly one offered me the exchange of the device with Kulanzschlag for about 300 EUR. Together with the price for the 2006 DVD this is a whole lot.

  • Dirt indoors on the rear doors (wheelbox cutout) or also in the rear interior

Hello Together, I have already noticed repeatedly that when driving in bad weather or over dirty roads in the interior at the rear doors (wheelbox cutout) a real “crust” is formed relatively quickly. Had I before in the form with no other car. Does – if one does not open the rear doors – not at first. Also I have the impression that in the rear interior area, especially where the wheelbox cutout is, in the ground area at the rear seat very quickly always form a kind of dust layer. Why ever. The basic tightness of the interior I would actually assume. As I said, it is a kind of fine dust. No moisture. Especially when one opens the rear doors and looks at the ground (where the seat runs into the area of the wheelbox cutout. There it collects) It also seems that when model collation has at least made similar experiences. So I have now found this mailing from the summer of 2021: Quote: @Molist wrote on the 1st of June 2021. At least there is no guarantee.
