hello people, we’re just about to get a saab (the first one), a 9-5 2.0 se from 98 – the first self-deserved car. unfortunately it’s not enough to a newer one. do you have tips for me, which I should pay special attention to? probbefahrt was i.o., no funny noises, drove well, condition is almost perfect to call, only the sid has pixel error – seems to be a common problem. he has 80,000 km, I don’t know what has been done already – ask however stillma l after. we have the possibility to conclude a guarantee for 600 eu for 24 months, which covers the turbo and the electrics. are there parts that would like to break and be excluded from the guarantees as a rule? what should I ask concretely? thank you for your help! and please deal with the stupid questions of a newbie …. greetings, e.

  • 250 km/h

Hello, my father drives a 9-5 Aero, which I also ride from time to time – basically quite passable, but why all over the world the distances on the speedometer from 200 km/h are reduced !?! Especially when driving over 200 km/h the time has to be reduced to take a look at the speedometer and not enlarged ! What interests me, whether I drive 125 or 135 – this looks different with motorway curves and speed 225 – 235, especially when still difficult conditions like We Many greetings! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Mondeo TDCI 115PS / Motornails

Hello guys, had the problem that the engine ran at times very rough, and that in the 4th gear in the cold engine condition a strong jerking was to be noticed during acceleration! I drove to the workshop, this found a hardware defect and replaced an EKB or ECG part, and played me up a software update, now the jerking as well as the unround motor run away is almost eliminated, but now I hear an unbearable and very loud nailing of the engine true, whether in the cold or warm engine condition, especially if I drive off or constantly drive a speed! Now my question, can I just drive back to the workshop and let the old software play on it at guarantee costs, speak with which I did not have these engine noises or can you not make downgrade with the ECU? Because in this condition the 20 year old sewing machine of my mother is quieter than just my updated Ford Mondeo, but supposedly the master de The workshop itself was tested and felt the car with these sounds as fine, well the love should go to the ear doctor…

  • Footroom is wet/wet

Hello, for some time the footroom on the passenger side has been wet again and again. If I have my Leon standing in the rain or driving in the rain, no water penetrates at all. I only always notice it in the morning, and that mostly after it snowed (but not always). I have also done a watering can test, which also did not get through water. I was also recently in the washing machine, and there were no problems. In advance: I am not interested in cars. Is it possible that damp objects in the car (e.g. snow brooms or disc sponge) can lead to such a wetness? The things are lying on the back seat, so I think that you can rule that out. 2. Can possibly snow get into the cockpit from the engine compartment? What else could I do for tests to get the leaky S It’s really just the passenger side, everything else is dry. Thanks for your answers, and a healthy year 2018. LG

  • Ordinary PDA mount for the Mondeo ’02?

Hi, I have a gooseneck mount with suction cup for my MDA2 that regularly falls off the windshield (now the first time in the steering wheel). This should now be over. The part has to be kept in order and still visible for navigation. Does anyone have an inexpensive tip? I saw on eBay a few mounts that are clamped between glove compartment and radio. I liked that very well, but was with almost 50,-EUR plus (!) Porto do Then I saw a bracket that is clicked in the lambs of the ventilation – not quite my favourite, but I would take it to the necessity. Unfortunately, there is no version with rotating head again, but in this case it would have to be absolutely necessary, because otherwise you can see and operate the part very badly. I am open for good advice. Greetings, adixx!

  • Webasto ThermoTop C in 2002 TDCi

Hello guys, I had until recently a 98 Mondeo TD with retrofitted Webasto ThermoTop C (with prefix clock and self-made mobile phone remote control). The car is gone, the heating I still have, incl. installation kit. Can I install this heater in my now purchased 2002 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi? I have two statements from Wetrkstätten: 1. The heating comes in the back, behind the fender or something and I have to get the new model. Installation approx. 150,- EUR 2. The heating comes in the back I can keep the old one, but I need a new installation kit because of the automatic air conditioning system, which my old one also had. Installation and mounting kit approx. 1100,- EUR (16 hours working capacity) In front of the engine room there is probably no room for the thing. So now the hoses should go under the whole car!? Does there actually enough heat at the front? Or do I just raise the underbody? The ventilation on the 98 model was already too slow and I needed forever until the disc was opened. But the engine has always been warm. Has anyone experienced a retrofit? If so, where did you put it and what else did you need? If someone can give me a few prizes, it would be nice. Greeting Paule

  • Winter experiences with the TDCi

After 2 weeks of winter holidays in the Bavarian forest (-11°C) I wanted to tell you my experiences with the TDCi :TOP : – perfect cold start behavior – short warm run phase (after 3 minutes warm air comes out of the nozzles). – traction in snow. As some with strong gradients already stopped the Mondeo passed easily (with ESP off). – Heatable windshield and seat heating are worth GOLD ! Really a must in winter. – Consumption hardly higher than at normal temperature FLOP : – loud nailing at cold temperatures – joints of the windscreen wipers freeze quickly, thus constantly dirty disc – rain sensor in case of snow rain unusable. The salt residue disturbs the sensor -> it constantly wipes… – air conditioning : after some time cold air comes out of the S. – relaxed driving in the deepest snow due to the automatic. It switches gently and logically, so that you do not have to worry about nasty surprises on slippery roads. Cheibendüsen (*bibber*). Only when 24.5°C is set it gradually gets warm again in the car. All in all a great winter vehicle. Gruss WeKoe

  • Five-month experience report

Hello friends, I think it’s time for an experience report of the RAV 4 of the 5th generation. I would like to praise the design of the vehicle, which I personally like very well. The electronic driving resistance systems work so well for my taste of course. The consumption at the moment has levelled at acceptable 5.8 liters with a range of 800km in the city. A very good value. The planetary transmission switches very well, the car is very lively to drive and the Seats are also very comfortable. Processing in general is not as good as expected, which is not so bad. Even worse is the noise in the interior at higher speeds. This is already very loud and annoying in the long run. Wind noise and the roaring engine are unpleasant on longer rides. How do you feel about these sounds? Have you already done something about it? I will drive the days to the Toyota dealer and ask if it is possible the vehicle at To yota and whether Toyota offers that at all. Sincerely Kadir

  • RAV4 Adventure Hybrid – Impressions Test drive and questions

Hello together, due to various changes in the driving behavior of the family and me, we want to change from two cars to one. The Rav4 would cover all our needs: well in the city and on land, can move our caravan, is great for the Black Forest winter etc). Now yesterday I had the opportunity to drive the og. model sample. Purely optically a, from my point of view, successful car (also woman and children liked it). Our two current cars are an old T5 VW Bus and a Ford Focus Vignale (2 years old). Driving in the city and on the country road is a dream with the hybrid drive. Quieter and more economical is probably not possible in terms of weight plus e4x4. That’s really succeeded. On the highway, of course, until 120kmh everything is good, then it becomes louder due to construction, mainly due to the wind noise. What I noticed in comparison to the assistance systems of Ford: distance tempomat is good, but without shield detection or no e Implementation of the detected speed limit. I thought there was a tracking assistant? If yes, this is too subtly set or I did not manage to activate it (which I don’t believe). Android car didn’t work reliably (either with Xiaomi or with the Google Pixel). I feel a bit backward for an FL model on screen and implementation of the UI. The 19 inch rims make the car a bit tough? Here I would be interested in the difference to 17 or 18 inch. l see, I’m not quite convinced yet (laughing at a very high level). Of course, the hybrid technology is really very good. Can you understand these points? I’m happy about feedback/exchange.

  • Motor problems without end with CHR

Hello community, maybe someone knows that or you can give me some advice. At the end of 2017 we bought CHR gasoline, annual car, i.e. BJ 2016. 2018 started mistakes, often the car went into emergency run, switched ignition coils, but everything did nothing. Vehicle has gone into emergency run again and again, especially the problems occurred in spring and summer, not in winter. Time and again error memory read out, then again time and again ok. Error memory, but the cause was not fixed. always only tried out, spark plugs exchanged, ignition coils… Recently again emergency run, this time numerous error messages PCS malfunction, malfunction AWD, LDA malfunction and EPB malfunction. Workshop also doesn’t know what to do. Toyota thinks that the engine is dirty and wants to clean. 20% takes over toyota, the workshop at least 30% but we still have to pay about 1,000€ for more than uncertain output. W as would you do? Repair attempt? Will ask the dealer if he will take it back after almost 3 years, but don’t think about it greeting, Alex
