  • What cars are suitable for offroad?

Hello, I’ve never driven off-road before, but I’m interested in making tours in the future. Unfortunately, you seem to build your own car there for something like that is not possible. Who can give me tips here? Which cars are fundamentally suitable, e.g. which four-wheel drive system? How much power do you need to drive in the area? Is a Vitara with 71 kw? What else do you have to pay attention to when buying? Thank you.

  • Which one do I need?

Hello, am currently looking for an off-road vehicle…but which model would be suitable? The car is not for long distances, but rather as a transporter for various smaller agricultural machines (rare mowers, milling machines etc.). In addition, the harvest of a spreading orchard (hanging) should be collected (access only via forest path/forest path). In addition, the car should offer so much everyday suitability that it does not rain in through a canvas tarpaulin and also trips to In addition, the car must of course be stable and durable and should not cost a fortune. I have now, in ignorance of the history and model range of the company Landrover, selected two models, which could represent the two extremes so to speak. On the one hand, this would be a freelander from about 2002 and on the other a Defender model 110. Both as gasoline. I guess that I might be 3000-5000km p ro year driving. I have no problem driving around with a fast-oldtimer, but of course this should not coincide already… What should I pay attention to with the models ? Which engines should be avoided ? Or are there possibly better suitable models ?

  • Landys in the MT Forum – Sign up!

I thought that a compilation of all vehicles involved in the MT Land Rover Forum with mileage and possible problems – similar to the Volvo forums (bsp ) – would be exciting and useful. So if you want to, you can post your km-stand and any problems according to the following pattern. This information is transferred to a list, which is regularly published here in the forum or updated. So here (m)an example: Year of construction*: 1989Model*: Range Rover Classic SeIMotor*: 3.9 V8Kilometer*: 213’000kmProblems: New steering gear with 205’000km of data with a * should be specified, otherwise the thing somehow has no meaning… I look forward to your entries! Greetings AdrianThe list is intended exclusively for members of MOTOR-TALK.de!

  • The Yps doesn’t want to…

The little red 7-year-old elephant of my sister obviously resented the one-week non-use due to the flight holiday and now punishes her with a refusal of service. As it was heard for the big brother, I lay earlier over the engine, with the result: – No martenbite. All cables are ok. – No fuses. All are without exception healed. – Battery is not, it is full. The starter struggles right to the 1.1 Fire-Motor i In my opinion, it sounds like at least one ignition is missing. Unfortunately, the designers have spent a long time thinking about the most impossible place for the spark plugs, and have finally found it under the suction bridge and the air filter box. In short, without disassembly of half the engine head you can’t get to the candles… Well, I’m clear that remote diagnostics always have a lot of coffee. read the sentence or have to do Galskugeln, but maybe something similar has happened to the one or the other with the engine, so that I could get a few suggestions for troubleshooting before we leave this search to the workshop on Monday…? Would I be pleased… Greeting Derk

  • Crackers/Rassels in the engine compartment during gas removal

Hello dear ones, I have recently had a Fiat Uno 92 1.1 with 50 hp, which previously belonged to an 82-year-old grandpa, who has driven with him for a maximum of 2,000 km/year in the last years. But for that the Uno tip-top is in the shot, if you don’t mind that he smashed both sides, because he probably didn’t see it right anymore + went somewhere along. But now to my problem: with a warm engine starting from about 80 km/h, as soon as I take the gas away, in the front of the engine compartment a clapping is in the This sound can sometimes be heard even at slower speeds, but this time strangely when I speed up. What can that be? Is it something you can ignore or is it something worse (storage damage?)? lg from Dani P.S.: He has the well-known Fire engine from Fiat.

  • Lower Stepway

Greetings! Search now for an hour on the Internet. Unfortunately I am as smart as before. So I ask here in the round. Got me a Sandero Stepway. Is a dream car, only one thing bothers me, the stilts on which it stands. Well, lowering springs exist in the meantime from enough well-known manufacturers. Only throws me a question: The Stepway is already 20 mm higher by factory than the “standard” Sandero. How is this now if I have 30 mm springs If it is 30 mm or 50 mm lower, I assume that it is real 50 mm (20 mm from work and 30 mm from standard sandero). If it really is the case with the 50 mm, I will get into trouble with my current shock absorbers, or if there are already the “standard-sandero shock absorbers” installed. If this is the case, I could bring it to the bottom of the facts without worrying. The 50 mm would not disturb me. I find that the e “Standard-Sandero” lowering is optically quite good. In this case, it is only about the shock absorbers that I do not want to change in half a year. I thank you very much for the attention and for the enlightenment that you will hopefully bring me.

  • The MG 4 experiment has begun….

… and already runs a good month. In search of a smaller vehicle for the daily commuting of the woman and as shopping bag, we decided for a MG 4 Luxury (MJ23) and leased one for 48 months / 60,000km. So far, I can only say that there is not so much to say. All assistants function so far quite neatly. Only the traffic sign detection is rather a well-intentioned advice. Also the cameras front and back dissolve well, even at night, But the fish eye look is somewhat used to. There is nothing to complain about the processing. Nothing squeaks or crunches. But there is a lot of hard plastic installed. That’s also in our Hyundai, but it all seems a track nobler. The suspension is, for me, quite pleasantly tuned and by the rear wheel drive quite agile. At consumption it is, with our driving profile and the current weather, with ~15kwh (BC) quite economical. So are actually always 350-400 km with a Ladu The engine with a peak of 204hp is fun and quiet. It is loaded at home at 11KW and so the MG idR is ready for use again after 5-6h. Oh, there’s another word about the LKA, which is often criticized. I can’t complain about this at our MG with its software stand. He does what he should. The TJA works on the BAB acceptable, but on normal country roads rather very nervous. Let’s see how this develops.

  • Holland Import buy Xpeng G9

Good day Together, I have the opportunity to buy an e-car (X-Peng G9). The car was bought as a new car from a Dutch dealer and registered for the first time in Germany. Now the owner wants to sell the car. For me as a layman there are several questions. The car has a guarantee until 2030. Does this also apply in Germany? If so, is the process easy or can it be that workshops refuse to do something? What about the resale? o was minimally cheaper in Holland. I just don’t want to stay on the car in a few years because nobody buys an import.
