As in previous years, we would like to know how you got through the previous year with your mobile kit. Were you satisfied or were there worries and troubles with your vehicle or the manufacturer’s service?Even if you have already voted in December: In some forums the survey was broken. Because all MOTOR-TALKers should have the same chance to express their opinion, we decided to close the survey in general and to start again now.Anew: How satisfied were you in 2014 with your Jaguar? Vote in the survey and external praise or criticism as a comment. We have a direct wire to many manufacturers and they read on MOTOR-TALK. That’s why your opinion comes exactly where it should land: at Jaguar.

His Database Entry – Totaldamage-
Good evening together, 3 years ago we bought from a dealer a Jaguar F Type R Dynamic. Frzg. had cost 58 000€. The vehicle was sold to us with a Parkrempler. About 1 year ago we wanted to sell the vehicle and the new dealer found out that the vehicle has an entry in the His database with total damage. So we led to the lawyer, because the dealer specified the Parkrempler and did not guarantee the accident freedom as a quality agreement–we lost the process. We now ask ourselves the question, since we would like to drive the Jaguar now to the end, is fully insured and in case of an unindebted or even indebted accident as it is then settled? Repurchase value? Only a partial value? etc. Still said the His note can not be deleted because the person where the vehicle directed together has not submitted any proofs as well as indicated nothing… Please for help. Thank you.

Civic 1.8 limousine from 2014 – no problem?
Hello, at the recent Honda festival I was alerted to a Civic Limousine (4 doors) 1.8 Beziner with short registration. The car in itself made a good impression, however, the door panels were not straight processed. The limousine is manufactured in Turkey. My questions: Is there a fluctuating quality of workmanship with this model? Is the car only mounted or installed many domestic parts of the supplier? Are the essential parts from Japan or England or under license from Turkey? Is the engine robust, quiet and durable? How does it look with the rust protection and the general quality? A bit a lot at once, but I have never driven a Honda. The test drive was not a topic at first, because I wanted to clarify what is going on with the car in general. Who drives a “Turkish” 4-door and can say something about it? Thanks for any answers. Greeting Jüppken

Cracking V70 seats, is there any remedy?
Tach people, so mine also does it, the seat I mean. When accelerating there is something clacking in the mechanics. While trying out in the stand, I found out that it is not the pre-back mechanism, but the high-down mechanism. After some time this is annoying. Since I have not followed this topic of various Freds here so far (because it did not concern me yet ) and the search function is currently switched off, now the question whether there is any remedy? Thank you and greetings

DSTC intervention during cornering
Hello together, for 2 days I noticed with my 2004 V70 sometimes during tighter curves a short DSTC intervention without that there would be a reason for it. The indicator light in the instrument cluster lights up briefly and the engine power is reduced. The first time it had occurred on Tuesday on the highway at 130 km/h and rain-wet road. Had there been too much water pushed on the road. After that it appeared again on dry road in a 30 zone. Today then also again on the access to the company car park. Candidates would be ABS sensor rings and the steering angle sensor?

Geared oil cooler not for my D5?!?
Hello, short question; I was recently at the 🙂 to buy my XC90’s oil cooler. Since I have to move heavy equipment more often I have already retrofitted an SK trailer coupling with 3to trailer load. Then I had problems; “gear maintenance required” appeared in the display – after some research I found out that all XC90 with AHK need a transmission oil cooler. So from the 🙂 and cooler picked out and ordered / agreed to an appointment. To the appointment moved up – two days later came the call “Auto finished – but did not make anything!” I then at least still changed the transmission oil (was actually made from the beginning!), whereby my wish for a flushing was dropped afterwards – that would cost at least a hundred more!!! (300.- then the change – including oil) with it was explained that for my D5 MY2007 with automatic transmissions there was no transmission oil cooler. We had together on the computer a bit (it would not get a connection from the drive frame) but I would like to know that there is no need for a hydraulic adapter!

Is the gear oil still okay?
Hello, I’ve been a proud owner of a Volvo V70, D5 185hp with Geartronic TF-80SC(6-Gang), ez 07/2007 for some time. The car ran only 95,000 km. Driven this mileage from the first registration until mid-2010. After that, the Volvo stood until mid-2014 and was not moved. So 4 years of service. I have changed all liquids so far, except for the transmission oil. This is according to Volvo change-free. But because the car stood so long and I do not know how it was driven before, I would like to do the change. I left a little oil to judge the condition yesterday. On the picture on the left is the drive oil from the Volvo. On the picture on the right is the new Dexron III (Attention: does not fit for this transmission. Here only to compare the color). How do you find the color? Should I change the whole oil (about 8L)? Is not enough in this case also a partial oil change (about 4L) and then in 30 to 60 km again? Would you take a mannol/Ravenol or expensive Castrol?

Free Air Subwoofer in Small Car Experiment
Hi guys, I just want to try something out: Auto is a Corolla E11 Compact Subwoofer: Audio System R15FA Power Amp is also there with enough power and the car actually has a system, but serves so little to try out. I want to install the subwoofer that is currently just lying around in the trunk as Free Air. Luggage compartment has almost 300l volume. Now the consideration, how do I build it the best? Does this work in principle when I build it as Downfire, so put out an MDF base plate with cut-out for the sub and its membrane pointing down towards the spare wheel? After that optimize the trunk from the inside as well as possible. I’m open to all suggestions, as I said, is rather an experiment, what actually goes there.

Search speakers for Octavia 2002
Hello Since I don’t like the sound of the original speakers I would like to install new speakers. I already read a lot about insulation but at the moment the money is missing. So I’m just looking for new speakers for front and it shouldn’t require too many conversion measures. Budget is about 70€ (but can also post “P/L scratcher” up to 100€ if you think it’s worth it) So radio I own a Kenwood KDC-164UR. To the car : Skoda Octavia 2002 Facelift
