6 gear GT, crazy…
The Geartronic of my S80 D5 AWD (MJ 2011, 120.000km) just makes me despair. The following symptoms occur: sporadic jerking when switching automatically from the 3rd to the 2nd gear. Sporadic intensive jerking when changing the drive stage from “Neutral” to “Drive”. The strange thing is that this jerking occurs only sporadicly and not permanently again. It comes to me especially when the engine and transmission are warm. The following works have already been done by the Volvo contractor: error memory read out (no errors) Complete transmission flushing. Current SW played out. Unfortunately no improvement. Now I have a date for calibration of the GT. Supposedly, this is a huge effort. Does anyone have experience with it? Did someone have the same symptoms on his 6 gear GT? Thank you for your help. LG, Nordisk.

Comparison V60 and BMW 3 Series Touring
Hello dear Volvo community, since I change my vehicles on average every four years (sh. signature), I have been looking for a successor for my 320i touring for a long time. Due to the company philosophy of Volvo, the brand is quite likeable and is on top of my note. I have already tested the V 70 several times. Since I was (still) somewhat disturbed by the size and durability, yesterday a test drive with a V 60 D3 momentum from 2011 (163 hp automatic) was available. I would like to report on the comparison of both vehicles and then get rid of a question. Pro BMW: Pro Volvo: Undecisive: Conclusion: The V 60 is a nice car. However, it did not immediately “Klick”. I then felt more comfortable in the BMW. But after the first hard blows in the back of this feeling again. If I want to change the car next year, the 3 model is still not in the budget (where I also have to test the ride comfort first. But it should be better in the F31 than in the E91). From the V 60, however, if I want to be able to make a replacement with the V?

Search virtual purchase advisors – against payment
Hello together, funny thread title, right? I would like to see two or three Volvos (V70 II 2.4 20V 170 hp) in the far north next week – for me from Lake Chiemsee a day trip. Experience in the purchase of used cars is quite available, but in the eagerness of the battle I always forget something – and unfortunately I am not really fit on this model (yet). Now my idea was the following: A nice and well-informed V70 II person keeps himself ready for one or two video meetings by smartphone and inspects the car “with me” in peace and quiet, while I crawl around there and he lies in bed because of me – I wouldn’t care. I would have thought about 50 € compensation per appointment, that would be worth it to me. How do you find it, would you know someone or would have someone for this experiment? Of course absolutely without any responsibility afterwards – it is clear.

Volvo V70 T5 2001 light kink / stagnation at loading pressure at approx. 4000U
Hello, with my T5 I noticed that with a DZ of approx. 4000U a slight kink occurs, a short hold of the charging pressure and then goes on. It is not a sinking, but only a small plateau (at approx. 0.75bar). It happens to me that the phenomenon is less pronounced at temperatures below 22°C. But with the popometer the feeling of a small power drop occurs. * No fault in the memory. * 98 OktanWhat’s new: * Candles * Air mass meters * Cam wave adjuster What can this be? In the appendix: horizontal line on the ordinate on both diagrams: To constantize the values I drove for a time with the tempomat to ensure the stabilization of the ignition angle and the charging pressure. Then from 3000U I started to pull through as the starting rotation number with the third. After that accelerated up to 5500U. Right yellow line at x-axis at just 3″ (time in seconds): Small break-in. You can see it also with the ignition angle curve, that what changes there. But according to T5 the driver has always been a similar characteristic.

Service interval for new cars
Moin dear elk community. At the moment, I am a bit bored, as my elk ( My 17, XC60 T5 ) has to feel that most of the time leads a rather stress-free car life and therefore my thoughts are currently drifting towards the service that is about 2 months ahead. Means in plain language: Since I am mainly travelling with a company car, our elk is predominantly my wife’s wife for occasional shopping or other smaller tours and will probably not even scratch at the 6000 km annual running performance. The car is now 2 years old but he had been on a car yard for a year ago and again got a service with oil change before delivery in February of this year. So it is almost, at least seen for me, still relatively a new vehicle. I would really be interested in how you would approach the prescribed annual Volvo service at such a low annual running performance in my place? But considering the fact, perhaps a possible warranty or culant regulation only in the case of cases, I would be grateful for no need for a service or for it.

Retrofit the rear camera. What is needed?
I would like to upgrade my GP3 without a TV tuner to a rear-view camera that works as much as possible with the RNS810. The camera doesn’t necessarily have to switch automatically when inserting the reverse gear. If this is done manually at the push of a button, it’s half as wild. I just don’t really see what exactly I need for my vehicle. I found this set in the net. (http://www.service24shop.de/…/…fahrkamera-VW-Phaeton-3D::3117.html) What is this special for a control unit that is installed there? I’m a little bit afraid of the price and now I’m considering whether I can buy the control unit individually and also the original Volkswagen camera. That would have to work as well, right? Or is there another possibility? For example, about the TV tuner? Is it easier to buy and install it and then the cam to do it? VG Tom

The sound systems
The previous threads on this topic are already a bit older and did not give me the answers I had hoped for. I would be interested in how big the difference between 8/10, 12/12 and Dynaudio really is. I also read something about a DSP 12/12. What’s different and why isn’t there any more? Did one of you have the 8/10 and have changed to Dynaudio? Mine had “only” the 8/10 and I was still thrilled – I found the sound more than good, nothing was rumbling or rambling, only the rear view mirror trembles at higher volume. Despite the lack of subwoofer the bass was very good and above all not exaggerated! Thanks for your help. LG Robin

AT Motor, D5 seems to be a surprise egg…
Since the beginning of the year I have been very satisfied with the car and I was surprised that Volvo is building such bad engines. the engine felt like a 1.8 liter with max. 150 hp, was – especially in urban traffic – extremely nagelig (there were my Mercedes diesels very quiet even in the past..) and loud, consumption around the 10 liters at a lot of highway. then after 60 TKM a new engine, because the old one was torn. so far, so bad. I felt that I had to torture myself still 2 years, until I can buy a BMW again. now I have a new engine in it for a week and 1.5 TKM and the car seems to be a completely different one: consumption (minus 2 liters!) finally all 205 horses on board is clearly quieter he has also become asking me now whether the previous engine was a negative breaker or a new development was installed. how do your D5 Diesel run like this?

winter tyres V60
so – my V60 I get in the middle of the winter and as standard equipped with summer tires (which is a nonsense – can not let me drive with it at all from the yard). Well – so still have to order a set of winter pushes. I tend to the Michelin A4,m.E. one of the best tires and strangely the cheapest offer of Volvo. There are certainly more here before this question – what did you decide?
