  • Passat B7 140 PS EZ14 vs. Octavia III 150 PS EZ15

Hello dear forists, after a hard setback when buying a used car, we have now decided to go deeper into the bag and invest directly in the long term. Basically, the decision will probably fall in a price range of €20,000. The following vehicles are currently available: Passats from 2014 with 7-10Tkm mileage, 140 HP TDI for 19,000-20.000€ Octavia III from 04/2015 with 15Tkm mileage, 150 HP TDI for 21,000€. The vehicle will be 95% long distance Jena/Wie The question is now, which justifies the extra charge for the Octavia from 2015 of about 2,000€, although it has run a little more. Is it the newer 2.0 engine? The Navi software from the new golf? I don’t get quite smart and hope for an answer on your side. What would you and why buy? Best regards

  • Digital display retrofitting … speed, rotation, temperature

Disclaimer: it’s not about tuning or manipulating the speed! My used scooter has a very imprecise speedometer, a tank indicator and a few more lamps. As a hobbyist, I therefore came up with the idea of whether a digital display for various information could be retrofitted. Here are the features: + no structural intervention + access via Android & iOS + tachometer with Vmax/Vavg + tank/drive book + total/day kilometer + compass/GPS position + tachometer + engine/outside temperature + Battery charge + petrol/oil tank level + date/time + location/theft tracking + push notification + …What else do you want? The entire display will be completely open source, i.e. the electronics, hardware, firmware and 3D housing can be retrofitted, improved and even commercialized. The material costs would be almost 15 euros.Technical implementation: * OLED (display) * ESP32 (wifi/bluetooth) * GSM module (Internet) * GSP sensor (tacho) * HALL sensor (turnaround) * NTC sensors (tem) peratur) * RTC module (clock) * LDR sensor (dimmer) * … No cables can be tapped for implementation, via which an electronic throttling could be realized or which mean a structural change in the sense of the penalty regulation. During the ride nothing can be adjusted at the settings for security reasons. The scooter must stand to adjust the mini-board computer via smartphone. If such a digital display would be interesting or there is this with the above mentioned function Is that what you’re talking about?

  • Piston eater what to do? Piaggio Liberty 50 S Sport 2 measure

Can it be that this minimal adjustment deviation in terms of oil pump caused a piston eater? (see picture) Piston eater shows itself as follows. Oil pump installed and set. Driven about 10 km without problems, then parked in garage. On the next day no more starting possible neither E-starter nor Kickstarter, Kickstarter blocked – you feel it clamps. Vario open – belts can be rotated about 5 – 10 cm in any direction, but then blocked. g Oil trace under the scooter. Spark plug shows black and oiled – funny, if you think that there is allegedly no oil in the cylinder because of piston eater. Well, my question. Changing is not a witchcraft, because there are only a few screws and seals. If I go here now and change the piston with the cylinder, I have to make sure where the piston eater comes from. Can you check the oil pump for function? I have to empty the carburettor so that petrol does not come again without oil. What m Do I need to know how to proceed???

  • Aerox drives me crazy

Hello guys, the Aerox doesn’t come from the spot. Well- He has to move 110 kg extra when I’m sitting on it, but he should actually do that. The engine starts immediately, the Leo-Vince – exhaust makes a hell of a noise – only the good piece does not move forward, you can give gas as you want. If you push, it runs off at some point and you have the (subjective) feeling that it is getting faster now. However, then come back engine dropouts, probably the Verga In the variator I have replaced the 4.3 g – weights there with the original ones (something more than 6 g and the slightly glazed coverings of the centrifugal force coupling I thawed with emery paper. The V-belt looks great. Nevertheless – no difference. The thing does not start up, I can give full throttle as long as I keep alone with the legs, nothing works. I am now close to the Aerox, after the If I spent more than 50 hours in this thing, disassembly into its parts and screw it up. A good advice could possibly save me and the Aerox…

  • Scooter with 300 to 400 ccm

Hello, after I sold my Yamaha X-Max 250 last year, I’m looking for a scooter again. It’s supposed to be a manoeuvrable flicker for the city and country road, I hardly drive a highway. My Prio is on good performance/weight ratio. So it should be at the light of the King. There are nowadays the 300s or 350s with the driving performance of the 400s. 25hp he should have at least. Which are to be recommended or. what experiences have you made with this class?

  • Watch out for traps!!!

Be careful if your opponent’s own insurance or insurance offers you to handle your damage completely for you, that sounds like: “We’ll pick up your vehicle- we’ll put a rental car in front of your door – we’ll take care of the repair of the accident damage – we’ll bring you the vehicle repaired and freshly cleaned back in front of your front door” All consumer protectors, such as the ADAC and also the “Deutsche Verkehrsgerichtstag- Goslar” warn The government also warns against this so-called “damage management of the insurance companies”. Quotation: “Note that the central call of the car insurers on the basis of your call passes on the damage report to the liability insurance of the accident opponent. You must therefore expect the opposing liability insurance to approach you on your own initiative and turn on a motor vehicle expert of your choice. However, you do not have to be satisfied with this. n.” Source: Legal tips on the traffic accident. (see my signature) Edited by the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice (May 2003). Therefore: Never (but really never !) ask the opposing insurance for advice. Anyone who follows the advice of the opposing insurance for accident regulation makes the biggest mistake that can be made in the accident regulation at all. Do you ever have the idea of having your insurance done by the F i n a n z a m t ? only to the independent motor vehicle expert of your own choice The costs of experts shall be borne by the victim insurance in the event of an accident without fault.

  • Police damage my vehicle when used lightly

Tonight, the police of my home town slightly damaged the rear door (driver’s side) during an operation. I parked in the parking lot of a supermarket next to a police vehicle. Shortly before entering the supermarket, I learned that the officers were taking a drunken person who was fighting back. For a short time, I watched this happen and saw from a distance that the drunken person was forced into the back seat. Without further thought, I did my job. When I came to my vehicle, she saw the dent on the back left. So on to the police. Now she told me to file a criminal application against the drunken, because he would have kicked the door from the inside. His liability insurance would then regulate the damage. I, however, was and am of the opinion that the police had to pay for the damage, since it is the vehicle owner (in addition, the officials could have reset the car if a problem-free e-mail system were found. I don’t know if the drunk person really kicked the door. Furthermore, the question arises whether a person on the side of society has a liability security at all? The damage was also caused by the police vehicle etc. … Does anyone know the legal situation? Who has to pay (the state or the arrested person). Shouldn’t the police regulate my damage (as collateral damage of the operation) and then Anyway, I am grateful for every tip. Otherwise, I wish everyone a nice Pentecost.

  • Accident with VW truck – what’s coming to me?

Hello guys, since my golf is being upgraded to car gas at my VW dealer at the moment, it was nice to borrow a Lupo as a replacement. Last night, unfortunately, something stupid happened to me with this car. I hit a big stone on a green strip next to the road in the semi-darkness. I turn around with the golf almost every day and there was never such a chunk around. I could bite my ass like that. There I drive for years without the tiniest Parkrampler and there What I saw yesterday with the flashlight didn’t look good. The lower unpainted part of the bumper is pressed in at the left corner and also from the lacquered upper part a small piece is broken off at the edge to the unpainted part, which is hardly noticeable. I was able to push the dent out again with my hand, but in the plastic there are still clearly the scratches and a pinch to be seen. The only positive thing is that the painted part didn’t get anything except for the small corner. (perhaps stuck and right on the car) I can’t even assess what the repair would cost. Now to my questions: I got the rental car without any signature. VW wanted only a copy of the driver’s license. In such a moment you don’t think of anything like that. I just know that the car is probably also rented for EuroMobil. . I realize that I screwed it up myself, but what about the insurance cover here? Are such cars fully casco-insurance? Do I possibly take over my own private liability? Was one of you ever in such a situation? The car is so capable of driving and I don’t know when my golf will be finished. So I have another day, two days, until I have to confess the damage at VW. Or should I rather go to VW immediately? I don’t want to do it myself. It’s a small car dealership and I’ve always been good with them. It’s kind of embarrassing to me, to be honest. Thanks for reading and for your tips! Robert

  • How many times do you check your tire pressure?

On the occasion of my question: how often do you check the tyre pressure – what experiences have you already made? It is known in the two-wheeled community that the tyre pressure is very important, but I have to get out myself…. Alex Maybe just write: 1 times a month if you have had a problem what you have experiencedBITTE: no discussion if the BT 23 on the Pangiale needs 0.2 more than the MT57!

  • How is the holding spring of the brake pads of the disc brake used correctly?

I’m just a bit perplexed, because the brake does not really brake after the change of the brake lining made by the dealer; moreover, it squeaks recently, and there is also no real brake pressure built up by means of brake lever compared to before. The brake pads themselves are used correctly, but this “spring” is built in such a way that the brake piston is blocked rather than that it can effectively press against the brake lining. Since the Kisbee is still standing around here, I looked there; this there just If existing “spring” is used there completely differently. If I use this “spring” with the current scooter as well, I do not get the corresponding, similar brake lining used. This “spring” has been ordered with the coverings and re-installed; for me, therefore, the question is in the room whether a wrong “spring” has been ordered or delivered, because the coverings, which have already been changed several times, (the scooter currently has over 43,000 km), are the original coverings, like they have always been installed so far; only the “spring” itself has been replaced for the first time. Incidentally, I can’t find the maintenance manual for this current scooter in the WWW.
