So, there’s one thing I’m going to see about the 1.2 TSI, 86 PS, BJ. 09/2011, 29,000 km. First service was done after 2 years in the garage. On Kulanz, I had problems with the well-known chain rattle, the workshop changed the control chain to the new model. Supposedly my old chain was already a bit long. The whole thing was before the expiry of the warranty, the workshop also exchanged the part without having to show that there was something rattled. Very kulant! That was about in summer 2013. A few weeks ago I noticed that my car had lost oil at the area of the control chain box or was oily at the bottom of the oil separator. In addition, he had a small “lacherl” in the garage. I don’t know how this area is exactly called, but he still knows in the picture 1.

Mini Cooper D Delivery time
Hello! I’m new here and I have a question right away. I don’t have a mini yet, but I’ll order it in the next few days and I’m looking forward to it! Has any of you already ordered a Mini Cooper D and can tell me something about the actual delivery time? The dealer, with whom I will order (and also other dealers) told me a delivery time of 12 – 18 weeks. Can that be? Sooooo long? 🙁 Oh yes, I’ll lease the mini. I’ve already looked around here in the forum a little bit, there was in October 2007, so a year ago, sometimes something of a delivery time of 6 – 7 weeks. Why is that all of a sudden so much longer? Are there tips on how to shorten the delivery time? My Mini Cooper D was very quick, because I won’t have a car until delivery. And that’s with a daily distance to work of 150 km (back and forth).

DSG gear oil from Castrol – experiences?
Hi, I have a question – I have already asked in the Passat B7 forum, but maybe someone who has some idea about this topic, but is not on the way in the Passatforum, therefore again this question. Somehow rather unknown this oil (since Aunt Google only throws out sources of supply but no experiences) has used this already here? Since Castrol has a good reputation for gear oil for hand switches, I love the oil, for the next DSG oil change, but before that I want to listen if anyone would totally advise against it. I thank you already in advance.

Vw Polo 9N eats complete oil
Hello! I’m looking forward to an urgent question to you, in the hope that someone might be able to help the car… So in November 2014 I bought a polo 9N year 2002 with 133,000 km and nem 1 , 2er engine. Quite quickly the oil control light started to light up. I then replenished oil, can happen already. However, he then at 2000km eaten the complete oil. In the old invoices I have seen that the polo had a cylinder head damage, which a workshop repaired. Unfortunately, did not have the invoices and the letter available at the time I want to pay the car still in the workshop where I bought it. Well, as well as that, my father then suspected that the piston rings have stuck. So I am with the polo to the workshop where I bought it but did not give it to the workshop. The workshop didn’t suspect the same thing and so the polo sealant was getting into the oil again I’ve always got a oil change engine cleaning. Full program said that it had to be done with it. But not to give it from the 2000 km! The workshop just doesn’t know what the same oil is going to go back again!

159 1.9 jtdm versus 159 2.4 jtdm allrad
Hi, I wanted to hear your opinion: Is it worth a change from 159 1.9 jtdm to 2.4 jtdm with four-wheel drive? The big diesel with four-wheel drive is coming out soon and my dealer has made me at first glance quite a good offer when I change. I suspect he gets a few of the new models of Alfa pressed up and looks in advance for potential customers, because the demand for all-wheel drive in northern Germany should not be so great. On the paper, the 2.4 despite all-wheel drive is of course much more splashy than my current 1.9 – 8.6 compared to 9.8 sec. from 0 to 100. End speed 226 compared to 210 km/h. But for that the all-wheel drive should drive up the consumption. I charge 1.5 to 2 liters more at 100 km. At 30,000 km a year, that would be up to 680 euros depending on the price development. The question is, the all-wheel drive already brings more pleasure and safety, to outweigh these costs. I also ask because a friend of me recently has to return his previous Audi 4 with front wheel drive.

Purchase 156 2.0JTS Progressive
Hello, I need your tip, actually I love my BMW 320i from 99′ with 85TKM, but I have seen a 156 2.0JTS with 166hp from 2002 with 23TKM 1st hand checkbook very clean. Alfa I know very well from earlier times, because they were always such a little Mimosenhaft, may be that they are more stable today!? I like the car very well and is the only alternative to the BMW 3er, for me. Since I can get the whole for approx. 2000€, it makes even more attractive, what do I have to pay attention to in the 156er, although at the running performance it has just hit, if at all. Why can you guess me? Greetings Fiorello

159 Sport Wagon, 1.9 diesel
One way forward – as in the Sig. to recognize, I did not have an Alfa (except once as a rental car had a 156 sports car – very chic!!) . But hope nevertheless to be able to post something here. 1. The 159 sports car washed me yesterday and drove me in scharz metallic over the way. I have to say, it not only struck me, but several passersby. Such a chic car… If I did not need the place of my Pampersbomber, would it be only design-technically worth considering. 2. There is with the 159er yes Diesel with 120 and 150 hp with each 1.9 liter displacement. is this the same machine, as it is installed with Opel and Fiat????

Charger for Phaeton -also for diagnosis and possibly coding- (possibly Ctek 25)
What kind of charger for Phaeton -also for diagnosis and possibly coding- (possibly Ctek 25) Hello, I have been following this forum since the purchase of my Phaeton in 2010. I have already been able to find out a few things and would like to thank you for the many expert contributions at this point. Now I am for the first time in the situation that the search function alone does not really bring me further. Therefore my detailed questions about the charger and Phaeton: 1. Is the Ctek MXS 25 (25A charging current, supply, …) suitable for the Phaeton 3.0 Diesel, Bj. 2005 with two battery operation and electric luggage compartment cover / recommendable? I would like to do the following work: A regular reloading of the comfort battery -da I am currently primarily driving short plug- B power supply during diagnosis and if necessary future coding by means of VCDS 2. Where to connect during the diagnosis? Starter battery still right or comfort battery left? 3. Which charger program during the diagnosis? A “normal” charging B supply – power supply, as for battery change 4. How to connect to Minuspol?

Mini wins clear comparative test against Fiat 500
Sooo…now it is “official”. Autozeitung today’s edition: Comparison test Fiat 500 – Mini One – Twingo GT – Smart Fortwo. Result Mini clearly ahead of the competition, 2nd place Twingo, 3rd place Fiat, 4th place Smart. The Mini wins very clearly in the categories Driving comfort, the Fiat here with quite loud indoor noise and poorly appealing suspension penultimate. In the engine classification the Turbo of the Renault wins ahead of MIni and ahead of Fiat. In the driving dynamics as a parade discipline of the Mini he drives up and away all competitors. Only in the environmental/cost balance he looks not so good, but the Fiat is better here but only third behind the other two cars of Smart and Renault. Clear overall winner thus the Mini One. To the measured values: Fiat and Mini accelerate almost identical to 120, the intermediate sprint values are almost at the same time, as the final speed, but only on the round course the Mini drives away the Fiat clearly. In the slalom the Fiat is surprisingly close to the mini and the test consumption is identical with both vehicles with 7,8 liters. However, the same as the repeat of the Fivetronic is moderate at the price.
