Hello people, here in the forum there is a post with photos, by a member has the daytime running light installed in the aperture of the fog lamp. I also want to try this good idea, however with LED 70mm diameter. I ordered these headlights and notice now that they do not hold so easily on the fairing of the fog light, but have to be installed in the front apron. MY QUESTION: how can one remove the front apron. I do not want the good part on good Unscrew luck, and then some plastic part breaks off! Then the daytime running light is fixed in the apron and the aperture is inserted again. When everything is finished, I can set a photo here.

A2 instead of A – meaningful in my case?
Hello together I (34) just make the motorcycle driver’s license. Since I am very brain-dead, I had some difficulties – whereby my driving instructor says I would not drive more unsafe or clumsy than other novices, everything so solid. Within four double hours I put the machine down twice (once I wanted to drive in the wrong gear, feet up too fast, zacked off and fell over), the second time I took the slow slalom to After that I was totally blocked, although everything worked solidly. He then suggested to give me the smaller machine. There I come with both feet completely to the ground and have no more fears about starting up and strangling. As if a switch had changed, it was just fun, I would not like to drive with the other one at all. With the lighter one the focus is further down, the me He said, of course, I have the opportunity to make the A2 appearance only. I actually have some inhibitions with the big machine because of the weight and the insecure standing. On the other hand, this is just a head thing and I’m probably standing in the way of myself. The motorcycle I want to drive afterwards (Sportster, Iron 883), I would then have to throttle. Wouldn’t be a problem in itself, since I don’t want to drive a bigger motorcycle anyway. However, it’s just as hard as wi e the motorcycle in the driving school – with the Iron, however, I get completely to the ground with both feet and the focus is also quite far down. It is overall also narrower etc. So far I was only on the practice site. What do you mean? I talk about it again in detail with my driving instructor. LG

Accident caused by new tyres
Hello MT – Stammtisch on given occasion I would like to point out the risk of accident with new tyres. The release agent that makes the tires jump out of the shape is differently slippery depending on the brand. For this reason you have to be careful about the first kilometers and increase both the acceleration and the slanting clearance slowly. Especially the first meters can be hell! Please take care – especially if the start of the season is also due Alex

In the middle of 50 – too old for the motorcycle license?
Hello, first of all I would like to apologize that the topic does not fit directly into this forum “biker meeting”. But I unfortunately did not find a more suitable forum such as: “Motorrad allgemein” or “beginner”. Now to me. I am 55, I have just done the “second spring” and may still do a few things before the age circle catch up with me. Since my youth, riding a motorcycle turns me on. However, I never had the time, money, possibility or courage to do that. h especially always the Ralley Paris-Dakar and my dream motorcycle would be an old BMW from this time. Could then be an R80 GS if the Internet doesn’t lie. Now I wonder: Am I too old to start with? Would such a machine be suitable? I’m not interested in driving fast but rather I’m looking forward to comfortable tours over the Alps (live in Munich). Yes, the machine is certainly not a touring machine, but I think the design is great and I like the 80s. Thanks and greetings, Jürgen

What is the “real” PS quantity for us
Hello, barely escaped the midlife crisis, my wife and I still want to deal with the subject of mopped. We both want to do the A-Schein in addition to our class 3-FS available since 1985. Since we both didn’t even have a mofa before, we ask ourselves what would be the right machine for us (it’s supposed to be 2 already – not a compromise machine that fits both of us). We are both no pushers, don’t want to set speed records in the Odenwald I am 183 cm / 81 kg and my sweets 163 cm / 58 kg tall/heavy. We don’t plan to buy something new every season. So it should be something that – long-term satisfying – durable – low maintenance – is not undermotorized but still manageable – chic and yet no blender. We like things like Triumph Rocket III (but probably too much horsepower), BMW F800 etc. So, as a beginner you can certainly manage something between 80 and 100 HP Is it absolutely not recommended to do so? Head/Neck pain after driving hours
Hi, short context: I started an express course for the big motorcycle ticket last Wednesday. In 10 days you are through. In these 10 days, you drive two times a day each 90 minutes. Bike: initially Kawa z125. Now Kawa z650. I have extreme neck and headaches that don’t get better. My last hour was Friday afternoon. Now it’s Saturday evening/night and I feel like riding. Head and neck pain extreme. Legs are totally broken and generally feel i I expected it to be exhausting, but I don’t realize that the symptoms are fading. In summary, all the control lights are on with me and blink hahah. My question would be whether the “normal” is and if the body has to get used to the whole thing, etc. Thank you

XJ600S – Repair or sell – I need your help!
Dear community, I am really at a loss what I should do, so the question to you. I want to explain briefly what it is about. I have had the A2 slip for almost 2 years and at the beginning of this year I bought a used XJ600S with about 37,000km for 940€ from a private seller. My cousin did the test drive and he did not notice anything about the machine except a very slight fluttering. The joy about the “new” motorcycle did not last long, because during the first long hen tour (fortunately only through the city) I stayed there – tank was empty. Since there is no tank display on the motorcycle, I thought nothing about it and I filled up and made my way back. To then stay after approx. 85 km again. Once again the tank was empty. I then got in contact with the seller and learned that he had the machine before sale in the workshop (without invoice) to have the carburettor adjusted and the tank I then went to the workshop he specified to have them checked. I noticed an extreme petrol smell already during the ride and I also mentioned it there. You friendly gentlemen checked the motorcycle and found out the following. The 4th cylinder does not run with, no pressure in the engine block, carburettors do not work properly. The entire repairs would cost around 1000€. I have already legally informed myself and only one chance the engine This is not what the mechanics in the workshop with insure to have informed the seller about the defects of the bike. However, since they say that they only got the order to get the motorcycle to run, this is not given. So I am with a big question mark over my head before a decision. What would you do? I am a student and can not easily buy another or would the repair costs be burdensome. In addition, when I sell the bike, I would r machine may only get 300€. I look forward to your opinions and thank you in advance. Enjoy the start of the weekend.

DT starts hard, only with push
Hello together! I have the following problem, someone can help me here. And indeed my otherwise very faithful DT jumps in by now only very hard. There is hardly any more to kick on, in the past she always came on the first or second kick. But once she has come and runs, then she drives herself astrein, without ruckler or similar. I have also changed the candles several times, but brought only a moderate improvement. Ignition spark is there. My suspicion is now due to the high mileage of now about 40,000km with the cylinder, a compression problem. However, you can still feel a clear resistance while kicking. Vll has someone still a tip or advice?? Mfg

Virago 535 (1991) does not start after Kill off
Now I save myself every long explanation. I was in the garage on the motorcycle yesterday and I looked if everything is OK. It should be nice for the weekend Well I left the Virago on and look there, no problem (how also, hangs on the battery guard, so with screwed-down bench etc). So far so good. Unfortunately I am then, ask me not like I have no idea, come to the emergency switch. Works wonderful. Immediately everything was dead! So keys were pulled off, switches again on ru n set up and trying to start in idle mode. But she doesn’t want to jump in, doesn’t even try. However, light braking system, control lights etc. that’s all. Just start it doesn’t. I also folded the side stand, 1st gear in and then tried to start. Also there’s no reaction. What am I doing wrong???? Do I have to keep in mind something else? Is there a device that might have to be unlocked after you have activated the emergency switch? At this point in time, the starter doesn’t turn at all. Therefore—> he still doesn’t get any electricity 🙂 (question is why. Because the other amatures are going yes. Can anyone help me? I’m at a loss….

Which SR500?
Good day, at the moment I’m thinking about buying an SR500. Now I had one of the very early specimens when it came to the market. Small headlights, bench with plastic brush. I sold them again after a year because the urge for larger machines was overpowering, but the SR never let me go and over the decades I still had some SR and XT500, which sold over and over again. But for a few years I’ve become quieter. One of these origins that I drive, however, has only 50 cubic meters and is an open mini-wheel. It runs fine, but I’ve grown out of it, too old, too big and too heavy, after two or three hours on the machine I’m done, have knees and back. That’s why I’m browsing through the classifieds and looking for XT and SR. Since I just want to spend that the mini-wheel brings in, fall down. n the XT away and only the SR are still on my mental note. Which I should now consider closer, from the feeling I tend to the original version, but reason says that a later model would be the better choice but I don’t like the smaller front wheel with the drum brake. I also screwed on SR and XT and was able to do all maintenance work and most repairs as they occur. Best regards Willy
