  • Get door panel crisp-free, Audi A5

Hello, I need your help. I have an audi A5 Coupé with about 90 tsd km down. Meanwhile the door panels crack relatively strong when driving over floor waves. The left door covering and door I have insulated with alubutyl. Various parts with felt tape glued on and diolenwatte glued on. There it is relatively quiet. Occasionally it clacks in the upper area near the c column. On the passenger side I have installed many bitumen strips and also dammpaste. Since k It seems as if the plastic rivets, over which the parts of the claddings are held together, become loose and make noises. By the complaint with alubutyl it does not seem to get better. Now I wonder, do I get rid of the cracking by a) riveting with soldering pistons again? B) take more alubutyl c) remove bitumen strips ( d) everything only with felt glue e) felt mattes or diolenwatte glue in f) armaflex glue in order to exert pressure on the covering g) buy new liner coverings at ebay and hope that it will go away. What do you think?

  • 1.4 Drive TDI without problems or rather leave it standing?

Hello dear friends, I drive a 6N2 1.4 TDI AMF. With the vehicle the change interval is reached in approx. 100 km. However, I did not get an appointment in my workshop until the end of April. Until then I certainly still drive a good 2500 km, because I am at the moment quite tensed. Now to my question. I got the new timing belt myself at my own request and is at home. So I have a very good comparison between new and old. In the picture below. Can I still drive the short month with it, or should I rather switch to an alternative and leave my car standing? Sure, it’s always a lucky thing and no one can predict the future. But maybe there is the one or the other who has had a similar situation here. Hope you can help me. MfG, tspg

  • Forester – CRV or Tiguan?

Hello! I am new here in the forum and have a question regarding purchase decision. At the end of the year or January 2009 a new car purchase is due. The following three models have come into the short choice: 1. Subaru Forester with diesel engine 2. Honda CRV also with diesel engine (150 hp?) 3. VW Tiguan with 170 hp diesel engine What does the Forester speak objectively and objectively for from the perspective and experience of the Subaru motor talkers? Where is there a Subaru dealer in the Ruhr area with good Werstatt and good prices? Thank you very much

  • Stonefall repaired

Hello! With my metallic painting a small stone stroke was repaired with a paint pencil by a paintr. This meant it could not be better. The result is ok for me too. However, it seems to me as if the clear varnish is missing and the layer stands out. Therefore I would like to put on my own hand. I would first assume to have to sand down the paint hill and then clear varnish on it. Then polish. Right? Bzw. what means do I take there? Thanks!

  • VW polo rust stain has been removed.

Hello dear community, I have the following problem. I had noticed in the spring of last year that I have a 1-2cm large rust spot on my VW Polo back left. As a result I went to the “workshop of my trust” and had it sanded off and covered by a pen (color white) which cost about 200 euros. Now I had to find out unfortunately that the rust comes back. Now my questions: Is it normal that the rust comes back when it closes off or is it my fault that I didn’t have it painted over, but only had it worked through by a cover pen? Has the workshop possibly not fixed the damage correctly? I can’t have this rust stain repaired now every year? If so, does the workshop have to stick to it/repair it? Have asked on the phone and they would look at it again and make me a “good price”. h, because my gut tells me that there has not been properly worked there. Can someone enlighten me? Unfortunately, I am absolutely layman in this area. Thank you!

  • Sandero Tuning

Hello first of all, I’m currently driving a Subaru Impreza 2.0 and I’m the worst rally fan, but the old 2l engine needs petrol without ending as you can think. a colleague of mine recently bought a sandero and I see in it really potential as the dacia are heard like a car without unnecessary crap. Therefore I see the Sandero as a perfect base for my own private ́rallye car ́ for the road. Long talk short sense there must be weng more power rin . Astra Turbo read out of a 1.6 16V 180 hp that I would be satisfied with, but Opel is not my quiet I want an absolute uniact. So I thought I hit a 16.16v engine out of the logan into the sandero and have a turbo kit installed afterwards, however, the forum of a better one taught me. I was told because of the exhaust gas report that would not be possible with my budget(600€only for performance tuning). Now I thought about a used 1.6 16v from the astra to k to be installed on ebay and the. Is this possible or can not be connected to a motor of another brand

  • New car paint defects at collection – accept repainting?

The pick-up of my new car was sobering today. Several small scratches and small bubbles (back flap), which can allegedly be polished away and a deep paint damage on the bumper. Now the whole bumper should be painted, but I do not agree with this, as this is a reduction in value due to the different lacquer densities. For me, only an exchange of the entire bumper as original spare part, painted in the factory would be possible.
